I don't even ...

This thread's a shitfest. Thanks for gathering the questions and presenting them. Someone's gotta do it.

Could DataTank host other miners as well, in theory? As long as we're speculating, Hashfast would be both possible and unexpected. They're sitting on a lot of inventory and next to zero capital, so a deal like this would seem right up their alley. Not sure how the bankruptcy proceedings might affect/obstruct that sort of thing, though.

How about the 210btc hobbyist... what is this 15,000 you speak of?  Smiley

This. We were promised our original bitcoin payments back, and that's what I want. They sent me a check after I refused to cooperate with their refund process and insisted that they honor the TOS I had agreed to. I haven't cashed it and I don't plan on ever doing so. I'm in the process of taking legal action.

None of us have gotten dividends since then. Dividends are coming once AM is cashflow-positive again, according to friedcat's update a few hours ago.

Hey Will, I just caved and signed up for CryptoMex.io. Not planning on doing the KYC nonsense, though, as I don't trust this random website with all the data you're asking me to hand over. Can I get my shares now? I don't see them on CryptoMex.io or IceDrill.io.
26  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 23, 2014, 08:39:18 PM
As you say, ASICMINER isn't selling mining machines directly. Most of us are invested in ASICMINER because we want in on the profits from chip sales and franchising. The mining income at this point is going to be dwarfed by the income from those other two sources, and that's fine by me. Comparing Spondoolies and ASICMINER seems like an apples-and-oranges comparison to me.

...
and ryepdx, friedcat.info is down for me
...

Yeah, my web host is moving servers around today. Hopefully will be back up soon.

I see what you did there... :-D

Seriously, I don't know why I let it bother me so much. Maybe I'm just frustrated that ASICMINER can't be arsed to put together a simple line of communication that isn't as abjectly useless as this goddamn forum thread. They're a multi-million dollar company and they don't have a website, or even a mailing list. I put together that fucking stupid ASICMINER Watch site in about three hours, and that's including the time spent dicking around with a new CSS framework that I eventually ditched. A MailChimp list would be even quicker. But no... we're stuck on this goddamn forum thread.

Those motherfuckers. They're the only motherfuckers in the mining space I trust at all right now, which is why I own shares, but they're still terrible at communication. And 90% it comes from the fact that this is their official line of communication.
29  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 22, 2014, 05:14:43 PM
why no div?

Dividends are due out May 27th.

Jesus Christ, this is driving me crazy. Read the fucking thread. Or just visit http://friedcat.info if you want a TL;DR. And if you can't even be arsed to read the little bit of text on that page, you probably shouldn't be fucking investing in this space.

Swear to god, if one more asshole comes in here asking "when are dividends coming out," well... I'll probably just post all pissed-off again, because that's the only thing I can do short of just ignoring them. :-p

If you need someone to hold your hand, if you can't do your own goddamn research, you deserve to get your ass handed to you.
30  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 21, 2014, 09:33:35 PM
says who?

Says all the people who keep asking questions that were answered a few pages back.

why such feeding the trolololz? to have more people going to your website? Tongue

I'm bad at not feeding trolls, apparently. And yeah, I *would* like it if that became a widely used source of information. Maybe then we wouldn't see the same questions appearing over and over again. I know I shouldn't let it bug me, but it totally does. :-p
31  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 21, 2014, 08:01:19 PM
I believe your belief is correct. Still a shitty thing to do.

In a side note, this kind of thread detritus is why I started http://friedcat.info a couple days ago. No way anyone's getting at the updates from the board members and executives when there's pages and pages of this crap to dig through. :-p

Edit: Divs will come May 27th. There's fuck all you can do about that. In the meantime, go outside and get some fresh air. Enjoy yourself for a week. Then come back for the real show, when the divs actually start coming out.
32  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 21, 2014, 07:49:05 PM
Just got mine. My address has first bits 1Lophie, It is my address in my profile. Yes the amount is correct. But I was the first to report the divs! Can't wait for the report to see what is coming ahead....

The last transaction to that address on Blockchain.info seems to be from May 10th. Why you gotta troll?

I assume they are. Dividends are due out the 27th, not the 21st. I can't see any reason for friedcat to release them early.
34  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 21, 2014, 05:10:09 PM
Eh. They've only held the shares at that address for the last four dividends, which were pretty paltry.
35  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 21, 2014, 05:04:26 PM
Hmm, interesting. I don't see any dividend payments yet to Havelock's ASICMINER address (1J5fvfUrDcZj8rrpVHMgn8u7sXee84QkPd). How long does it take for dividends to get sent out? Shouldn't it just be an automated process at this point?
36  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 21, 2014, 05:08:27 AM
Well the question presently is when the dividend will be paid out and if we will keep a weekly schedule for dividends or if they will switch to a monthly or biweekly payout schedule. If I recall correctly think they were considering monthly not sure if that was how it will be though.

Those questions were answered a few pages back. I'm keeping http://friedcat.info updated with all the news, so you don't have to dig through pages and pages of posts to get to the good stuff. Here's a TL;DR:

1) Dividends are coming May 27th.
2) We are "most likely" switching to a monthly schedule.
37  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 21, 2014, 01:45:03 AM
AFAIK, dividends are still on for the 27th. I'm guessing binaryFate is just bad at calendars.
38  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 18, 2014, 09:19:29 PM
Alright, got a rough version 1 up. http://ryepdx.com/asicminer for the impatient, and http://friedcat.info for those willing to wait for the DNSes to propagate their records.
39  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 18, 2014, 05:54:07 PM
Yeah, I remember that. Used to use that website until it shut down. :-/
40  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 18, 2014, 05:39:19 PM
thanks, are we gona get divy payments anytime soon? or should i just sell it?

Okay, that's it. I'm putting together a website with all the ASICMINER news. A nearly 1k page thread is *not* a good medium for disseminating information!

Edit: The answer to your question, per the update a few pages back, is May 27th. Also, dividends are going to be released on a monthly basis going forward.
