anyways yes lophie's legally and lawfully allowed to say what he wants... on a more serious note: I can confim I believe the dividends will probably come soonish, I reckon in about 2 weeks... or at the latest I would say in the coming weeks.

In a side note, this kind of thread detritus is why I started http://friedcat.info a couple days ago. No way anyone's getting at the updates from the board members and executives when there's pages and pages of this crap to dig through. :-p

says who?

Hmm, interesting. I don't see any dividend payments yet to Havelock's ASICMINER address (1J5fvfUrDcZj8rrpVHMgn8u7sXee84QkPd). How long does it take for dividends to get sent out? Shouldn't it just be an automated process at this point?
Eh. They've only held the shares at that address for the last four dividends, which were pretty paltry.
I assume they are. Dividends are due out the 27th, not the 21st. I can't see any reason for friedcat to release them early.
The last transaction to that address on Blockchain.info seems to be from May 10th. Why you gotta troll?

Says all the people who keep asking questions that were answered a few pages back.

I'm bad at not feeding trolls, apparently. And yeah, I *would* like it if that became a widely used source of information. Maybe then we wouldn't see the same questions appearing over and over again. I know I shouldn't let it bug me, but it totally does. :-p

The fact rockminer are shipping doesn't really affect this round of divs. Maybe they'll order more for the next round though.

None the less, it's still good to see...

haha maybe RockMiner investors will see dividends sooner from products which are using ASICminer chips, than ASICminer shareholders themselves Grin no non-nefarious reason to hold money any longer. And seems like we are starting new rally in BTC prices and AM share price ... it will be interesting summer.

from 160 000 000 chips total of gen3.
whatt?! where did you get those numbers? Shocked

Its upper limit from :

1) What is the order of magnitude of 3rd generation chips ASICMiner anticipates to sell (total / first batch / first 3 months)?
re 1) Order of magnitude: Depending on fab capacity. Total target is 10k to 40k wafers, relying on competitors, Bitcoin price, and other factors. A wafer is rated at 40 TH/s.

also I see that you're calculating 0.5$ profit per Gh/s ... selling price is from 0.49$ (unlikely for first batches) to 0.99$ (more likely), production costs -0.2$ Gh/s, put this into sheet Wink

so basically, the lower and higher targets takes us between 1 and 4,1 BTC divs per share...   Cheesy Grin Shocked Cool Roll Eyes Tongue Kiss

I remember that discussion. To quote myself back in the days...

On AM value assuming $0.8 per ghs profit; at 200 PH production = 0.6 Btc per share. Anything more, we will be in Btc heaven.

If we're extrapolating: 1600 PH/s production at a profit of $0.80 per GH/s gives approximately XBT 4.8 per share. Not bad, huh?

If we're really looking at $0.8 profit per GH/s, we have to consider that this is only the price for the first month(s). The price for following batches will be lower, since mining will become less profitable. So only the first, say, 50 PH/s will make $0.8 per GH/s, afterwards we have to settle for less. That being said, it's not completely unreasonable to expect another 0.6 BTC per share coming from gen 3. Which would (still) be perfectly fine in my books...

I'm AM bullish, but expecting (a lot) more than 0.5 BTC divs/share for all of gen 3 is delusional these days. Looking at the competition, this is still more than fine. Prepare for 0.25 BTC divs/share and take any surplus as a nice bonus. Disclaimer: This is no trading advice, remember that I may be very wrong about this. Also, I do own shares.

0.25 would be amazing. Stupidly enough, I spent about three hours doing detailed calculations and saved them in my drafts, but unfortunately, I've made over 100 attempts at posting since dealing with all of this PETAmine stuff so all the details are lost. Anyways, a dividend of about 0.17-0.18 is my estimate over the next three months, assuming we only sell 1/2 of all the chips produced, and we meet expectation for self mining and franchise mining. For the more curious of you, it put the yield between 70-110%, and I retained 25% of profits for future capital. I'm expecting the upcoming dividend to be around 0.03-0.04, anything more than that in my eyes is dreamy

Should be a very prosperous week

You know that 0.17-0.18 over 3 months (12weeks) gives us ~3.5 BTC share price ... let's see

It won't. There's not enough confidence in the market to have the yield affect the share price the way it did before. I'm not going to go into it too much, but I do think the yield is going to change the shareprice considerably, just not as much as you've estimated. As a speculator, I wouldn't be here otherwise.

That would be impressive but were only accounting the dividends from the chips not including the future R@D for Gen 4
Which hopefully will be faster since they are specializing on chip production now

Fuckers, fake div news.  Undecided I nearly had a heart attack:

My wallet was corrupted a few weeks ago and didn't had a very recent backup (never backed up my wallet after I bought direct asicminer shares, I know... Stupid)
I already checked and all my BTC was still in my old backup (you know, the client pregenerates some addresses)
I even checked by signing if I still owned my asicminer share address, and I did

When I read the news I couldn't see the div in my wallet...

Nope. My calculations included a 25% of all profits reserved for future capital. Capital that would no doubt be used to pay for things like GEN 4 development. The dividend estimates are after that capital has been taken.

My memory eludes me.  Gen3 chips hash at 10GH/s right?  https://twitter.com/RockMinerInc/status/456327219724312576 says the R-box is 4-chips at 40GH/s, which sounds about right.

Then, why does the miner at https://twitter.com/RockMinerInc/status/461891800907522050 hash at 24.6GH/s?  2.5 chips???

It's about 12GH/s, but it depends on voltage.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Rockminer's own results published 14 May.

Results:

•Board:one chip testing board
•Frequency:360Mhz
•Volt:0.72V
•Hashrate per chip:11.52Ghash
•Power consumption:6.375W per chip
•Power consumption per Ghash:6.375/11.52=0.5539W/Ghash
•After power supply changeover:0.5539/81% = 0.684W/Ghash(at blade)
•Power consumption on wall:0.684/0.8 = 0.855W/G •Adding other components loss about 1KW/Thash

I'd of called the R-box the Bit Mac. Looks like a Big Mac. Get it? Ugh.... where's those divs?
