Great job on the marketing! wow!  agree Guldencoin should be focused on the Dutch first.

looking at the litebit json api.. https://www.litebit.eu/requests/jsonp.php?call=nlg

{"market":"nlg","currency":"EUR","supply":26572079,"buy":"0.00074710","sell":"0.00059912","volume":"170,296.33596069","last":"0.00074710"}

does that mean litebit has 26 million NLG??  is that right? Only 11 million NLG for sale at bittrex.. so litebit holds that many NLG in reserve?

...

In the meantime I just had to take a few minutes of the difficulty algorithms and fix something else: adding some API's to the explorer so it can be used by coinmarketcap.com and other services.
The API's are quite simple:
https://explorer.guldencoin.com/sapi/blockreward
https://explorer.guldencoin.com/sapi/totalcoins

They mimic the blockchain.info API's (plain text results) so it's a drop-in replacement for existing services.

I also wrote some short documentation about the explorer and API's here: https://docs.guldencoin.com/services/explorer/
The totalcoins api uses data from our distribution system so it's the accurate number of coins in use right now, see the docs for more info.

Is the totalcoins API above (which coinmarketcap uses) being kept up to date?  By my math this is about 4 million off.. (assuming less than 150 million pre-mine left)     https://distribution.guldencoin.com/#/dev-premine hasn't been updated since February so I'm guessing this may be in the same situation?

If used without a param, I agree it is a rather confusing number:
Mined coins (excluding premine) + Coins distributed among dutch citizens + Spent coins from the developer premine
(Taken from the doc)

Use either
https://explorer.guldencoin.com/sapi/totalcoins?type=mined (only mined block rewards total, excluding premine)
or
https://explorer.guldencoin.com/sapi/totalcoins?type=all (all coins; complete premine + mined block rewards)

Both are looking right to me.

Yeah.. those are right.. not the one I'm talking about though..

As you say..

https://explorer.guldencoin.com/sapi/totalcoins  = Mined coins (excluding premine) + Coins distributed among dutch citizens + Spent coins from the developer premine

This is what coinmarketcap to compute the NLG marketcap and what I think is wrong.

04:40 UTC snapshot:

coinmarketcap.com available supply = 256,605,101 NLG
https://explorer.guldencoin.com/sapi/totalcoins = 256,605,101 NLG

coinmarketcap.com total supply = 410,291,000 NLG
https://explorer.guldencoin.com/sapi/totalcoins?type=all =  410,291,000 NLG

Subtracting the 2.. that would mean there are ~ 153.6 million NLG unavailable (remaining in the pre-mine).  However, adding up the pre-mine in the guldencoin.com/premine wallets, you only get 148.4 million.. thus the available supply number is off by 5 million, no?

Cold Storage 1 - GYhkH  50 million
Cold Storage 2 - GLjU6  50 million
Cold Storage 3 - GK3g7  10 million
Cold Storage 4 - GTXSn  20 million
Active Wallet  - Gfveu  ~18.4 million (old address on guldencoin.com/premine)

thus total premine = 148.4 million remaining.

it's very possible I'm doing some math wrong somewhere.. or there are additional pre-mine addresses not on guldencoin.com/premine?  if so, sorry for wasting everyone's time reading this Smiley

PS: didn't know guldencoin.com/premine existed.. thanks Buerra.  and thanks for creating it whoever is responsible for it.  I googled 'guldencoin premine' and got https://distribution.guldencoin.com/  maybe that should auto-forward to the new premine info?

I have put my money where my mouth was. I send GeertJohan a little donation in his tipjar and encourage everyone to do the same!  Grin

I also sent him some extra Guldencoin, I do this quite often tbh haha.

Thanks guys! Very much appreciated!

So after this change if the coins price goes to 1 cent it will only need +-500 usd daily to support this price ? At 10 cents 5000 usd a day. I think this will be possible with the amount of attention cryptos are getting again ?

Well no, because it isn't just new coins from miners that are available on the market, people can and will still choose to sell the coins they currently hold Smiley
What it does mean is that there will be a lot less trading coins from miners flooding out the trading from regular users, so the exchange prices are likely to closer reflect what regular users value the coin at instead of what miners happen to be dumping for at that moment...

This is good, after watching this interview with andreas Antonopoulos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw28y81s7Wo . High supply coins will most likely never have high value.
I respect the guldencoin team for making this coin useful which will give it long term strength. Please keep up the great work you all doing.

Thanks for the link!  Bytecoin (BCN) with 184 billion total coins (10x NLG) has a current market cap of $8 million USD and most of the coins were minted first 2 years..   will be interesting how this one pans out..

In the op there are dedicated pools 'http://guldenpool.nl:27100/static/' and 'http://p2pool.e-pool.net:8806/static/'

These are the same pool, no?

Both of those are nodes for the Guldencoin p2pool network. In effect, they create one pool together. However, individual nodes may perform differently; anything affecting latency can be a factor, such as geographic location, network latency, disk I/O, etc. In addition, fees are node-specific; guldenpool.nl (and node2.guldenpool.nl) is set at 0.5%, e-pool.net is set at 1%. Nevertheless, when you get a p2pool share, it is shared across all nodes, as is the payout table except for the block-finding bonus (0.5%) and the fee.

Now that the apt-named DELTA plan has succeeded, perhaps it's time to add some nodes? The p2pool network has been stable, but for dedicated mining it would be great to have some nodes in other continents. All three nodes are located in the Netherlands right now. It's not difficult to set up, so if anyone feels like it, let me know!

Thanks for the very detailed response.  Didn't know you could distribute pools like that.  Very cool.

My hashing contribution is now down to 180MH/s.

Hey Bio,

Do you if that occurred during the 42 min block time we just had and thanks for letting us know. The true test starts now but on some decent stable mixed with jump pool hash DELTA works really well at least.

A 2GH/s contract expired at occurred at 07:35 pm. This was the largest single drop

Still looking good with less contributing hash from the community. Amazing actually!
Noticed this site is not updating, is the team able to get it up and running again?
http://nlgstats.iblogger.org/

Backend for nlgstats is down.  Hope to get it back up ASAP.  Best  --Mark

nlgstats back up.  Sorry about that! --Mark

If the official forums are going to be predominantly Dutch language, any chance we can get the important topic posts on topics such as CPF in English as well?  Understand it is extra work and I am in no way asking put aside the Dutch culture and heritage.  I think this would help non Dutch speakers feel more included as part of the community.  Maybe some dual language community members can help share the load translating.

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem.. I tried to reset my password on the new forums but not receiving an email.  Checked spam folder. Not sure if I associated an email address with my username on the old forums.  Was that mandatory?

nevermind I used a different email address than I remembered.  Must be old age.  All is good.  Thanks GJ.

They seem to have nicer weather than here in Holland (windy, cold and rainy).

I posted an old picture of the team.  They are playing in Amsterdam Arena tonight.. but retractable roof there no?  So should be ok.

Markanth, it seems that the cumulative percentage of blocks is dropping. Are there new parties mining NLG?

biomike - nlgstats currently accounts for ~90% of mined blocks today.  10% unknown.  I'll take a look if much of that 10% is going to one pool.  Over the past month there have been 1 or more pools who receive block reward to a newly created address every block solve.  So 100% will probably never be accounted for unless I start looking for first ip that relays a solved block and correlate on that..  similar to what blockchain does.. and they still have around 25% unknown.

Hi guys.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!  I had some NLG and BTC at Swisscex exchanges which shutdown recently.  They are providing private keys to return funds to users.  Importing the BTC private key into my airbitz BTC wallet was easy, but I couldn't find a similar function in the PC Guldencoin wallet.  Can anyone give me a tip on how to do this for NLG?  Thanks!

Doesn't it work via the key import in the debug console? https://forum.guldencoin.com/index.php?topic=273.msg7048#msg7048 (Point 10)

That worked thank you!

Swiss Coin Exchange @swisscex  ·  Mar 10
All customers will be able to retrieve their coins. Wallets are only temporarily offline. Thanks for your patience.

Hi guys.

Hope all is well with everyone.  I'm fairly new to crypto so for the abe experts out there I've got a question.  Do you think it's technically feasible to modify abe to work with multi-difficulty-algo coins such as myriad coin or digibyte?  The reason I ask is I use abe's backend database to create mining stats / charts / richlist for a coin I follow as a hobby that is likely going to move to multi-algo.  see nlgstats.iblogger.org for an example of some of the things I get by using abe.  I'm not an html guy so it's not very pretty.  Am I better off transitioning to something like insight?  I really like working with abe, hate to move to something else.  Cheers.  All the best --Mark
