21  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 28, 2011, 01:39:18 AM
@c00w: is it possible to add a button to the "Admin tools" for save the user.cfg?

I ask this because it seem like a very usefull thing to have, passed many hours changing the ThrPenalty, the role of every pool, the LP_penalty and so.. to find a nice balance for each one, and then have to write that manually to replace the old one when an update is out or in case of a crash, reboot, etc...

TIA !!

Hi, Iīm from Argentina, my actual IP is 186.125.123.xx and since yesterday I canīt enter the webpage or mine in the pool

I donīt know if youīre banning IPīs or why..

thx!

Not for me... Iīm from Argentina and is not the first time they ban some ip ranges, really donīt know why :/
24  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 25, 2011, 03:19:41 PM
Not a good hopping days for me...
DB mines 2/3/4 blocks every 2/5/10 rounds, lots of shares goes to bclc (now disable), mtred is down or are banning ipīs, i canīt see the stats or the webpage...
I donīt see anymore votes in bh console, "mine_slush" misses various short rounds...

I think iīm going back to 0.2.1, I donīt remember what version gives me better results  Sad
25  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 24, 2011, 10:18:27 PM
Yes I know, the duration of the rounds and the founded blocks are real but they are delaying randomly the json stats...

Iīm with lp_penalty:2 and is working fine Wink

deepbit with lp_penalty:0, itīs ok?

Iīm with 0.2.3-11 now...
26  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 24, 2011, 01:23:53 PM
Iīm with the latest (0.2.2.4-95) and Iīm getting some troubles:

BH keeps jumping to BCLC as they start a round, tonight was basically the only pool were it mines, and they have a round of 17hs !!

In some previous version (i canīt remember wich one), in DB i was making 0.3 $B/24hs, now iīm doing 0.08 Sad

I think BCLC is getting all the work that belongs to DB...

I donīt change any "lp_penalty" value, in fact i got it # for a few days and use the same user.cfg in all versions, so the question is: could it be a "random" behavior.. i mean that some days some pools announce blocks earlier than others and some days donīt?

In this case do i have to lp_penalty BCLC? by how much, 1, 0.1, 10?

And the last one, is necessary to set lp_penalty to all pools or only that ones set it at "mine_deepbit"?
27  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 23, 2011, 07:11:17 PM
mines always stuck after an "LP Call" to btcserv... 0.2.2.4-68

now I will try with 0.2.2.4-83

 Poll
Question: do you think pool hopping is ethical? YES  2 (50%)
NO  2 (50%)

Total Voters: 4

The real poll must be: "do you think BMU pool ops are ethical?" :p

LOTS of problems with that pool since ever... close it down, is a fail after fail after fail heheh

Can anyone send me an invite, please? I am keen to read it.

Sorry, Tobin, hoppers only.

Although I am not actively contributing to this thread, I am nonetheless a hopper (I even use my own hopper, which I have written long before bitHopper started to exists).
Is there some kind of examination which one has to pass  Wink.

Not really  Grin  But hoppersden is for info we don't really want leaked

I saw you've been a forumite since early June and you've never posted anything anti-hopper (harrumph, Magnet  Wink ) so get in a few posts here and someone will send you an invite soon.
So it seems I have to share my secret knowledge with you all Wink.

One small contribution:
As most of you know, Bitcoinpool has wrong JSON stats. I have seen that bitHopper uses the round duration and the pool speed to approximate the current share number. A somewhat cheaper (in terms of bandwidth) and maybe more exact method is the following:
Grab the account info of an arbitrary user in json-format, e.g. http://bitcoinpool.com/user.php?u=cristy&json=1 .
You see his submitted shares and his estimated rewards for this round. You can get the approximated number of roundshares easily by

appr_shares = 50*(submitted shares)/(estimated rewards)

Example:
submitted: 14670
estimated: 0.52180054

appr_shares = 1405709.55

This method can be made even more exact if you know how much the user donates.
Maybe it is worth it to be added to bitHopper.

I posted this exact method a few days ago and nobody seemed to mather Sad

****

I got the same problem as @kbsbtc, BH just freeze the stats page and keep showing "writing to database", miner dies and have to close and run it again.. (v0.2.2.4-68 with --auth --p2pLP and OldDefaultScheduler)

Also getting a lots of "Not enough votes in one direction to make a decision"

and also I send my firsts shares to BtcGuild Smiley

if possible I would like an invitation too. thanks
32  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 23, 2011, 04:03:15 AM
for me they were out since that creepy first pool they have... never an "estimated", never find a block, refreshing the web in the morning and come back a couple of hours later to see it loading... pfffff, and now they are anti-hoppers?? cīmon
33  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 23, 2011, 12:19:36 AM
ok, perfect... I thought that was the case since it works really well Wink

nice signature btw...
34  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 22, 2011, 10:15:55 PM
So, BitClockers stats are ok right now? I have set it under "mine_deepbit", should I change to "mine" only or itīs fine as it is?
35  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 22, 2011, 03:14:08 PM
@Atroxes: thanks !! working fine right now, v0.2.2.4-38... changed the "readme" in this one, also have to install ActivePython 2.7.2.5
36  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 22, 2011, 08:10:46 AM
You're probably missing some of the new dependencies - read the Readme.

Also DOS is gone since Windows ME... this is simply the command line of Windows, nothing related to DOS.

Ok hehe... you know what i mean

Yeap, i donīt have the eventlet one, also i donīt have the greenlet package, i try to download it but there is no version for py 2.7.. do i have to update py? in the readme says "2.7 (recommeded)".... Huh
37  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 22, 2011, 03:16:12 AM
I canīt make it run the latest version 0.2.2.4-2, it just pop-up the dos window and shut down immediately..

starting with --auth user,pass --p2pLP --scheduler(with & without =)OldDefaultScheduler
38  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 21, 2011, 11:04:32 PM
my bh jump to that pool a few minutes ago, but i realize that the previous round keeps going, so: are you faking the stats??

if that is not the case iīll set up in "mine_charity" to help it finish that block, kinda like that pool Wink
39  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 20, 2011, 01:27:22 AM
^ same problem here, and "user shares" keep showing 0... i try with: 0.2.1-21/24/25/26, same errors with those

went back to 0.2.1-13
40  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 19, 2011, 08:48:59 PM
share count is broken in version 0.2.1-21, always showing "0/stales  // 0.0% or infinity%"
