21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Comparison of buying a cup of coffee with crypto on: May 14, 2018, 12:34:25 AM
Without the implementation of the lightening network i dont think buying coffee or any low dollar amount item would be feasible with bitcoin.  However, with the lightening network i think it's much more feasible now and many more shops will begin to accept btc.  With that being said, bitcoin also has a limited block size so over time these smaller transactions will still become more expensive.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is now banned in JAMAICA on: May 14, 2018, 12:15:16 AM
Bitcoin is getting banned in jamaica heard recent news
about this ban, stated by the Bank Of Jamaica avoiding this virtual
currency called bitcoin. if you have anymore news leave in post below.
👍 respect. Smiley

I dont think having Jamaica banning bitcoin will affect the overall moral of the market considering how irrelevant Jamaica is in the world economy let a lone the crypto economy.  Furthermore, having the Bank of Jamaica state that theyr avoiding crypto doesnt mean that the entire country is banning it.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learning Cryptocurrency in Universities? on: May 13, 2018, 11:38:55 PM
Do you think that cryptocurrency should be taught in schools or University? Specially in the field of business management?

As a student, I believe it will give us an advantage to this so called cryptoworld, right?

I think crypto should definitely be taught in university but for its technological aspects more than for its business aspects.  I think the technology behind crypto such as how cryptography is used for protecting information and how blockchain technology i used for verification and storing information is very valuable information.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opportunity to sell for bitcoin on: May 13, 2018, 11:26:34 PM
I was wondering, if you had an opportunity to sell your stuff alike cars, pc, homethings and etc., would you sell it for bitcoin (or maybe other altcoin)? The main question is to see, are you ready trade stuff for cryptocurrencies and how do you imagine it?

I dont see any reason why not to sell things things such as cars, pcs or houses for bitcoin because i could just convert it to USD right away if i please.  I think selling cars and houses or any high valued item for crypto would be good because it opens up an avenue for new customers which could help you get rid of that item more quickly.
25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the risk necessary to make a big profit? on: May 13, 2018, 10:28:19 PM
Risk and how much profit you make go hand in hand in any form of investing.  The more you risk the more you could possible make but it also means you could lose more.  If you want to make some riskier trades with some unknown/new altcoins you could invest a lower amount and possible make a lot more money.
26  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to trade right and right? on: May 12, 2018, 04:52:33 PM
how to trade the good and right so that we do not lose?
Can anyone advise to me on a trusted site?
For seniors please guidance ... Wink Wink Wink

Theres really no way to guarantee that you wont lose money but I would say that following the basic principles of not being too greedy and not being scared to buy in are good ways to ensure a better success rate.  The jist of it that you should leave emotions out of trading.  When it comes to trusted sites, i use GDAX and i've used poloniex before.  Both are good exchanges but gdax provides usd and fiat trading.
27  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Minimum coin to begin trading? on: May 12, 2018, 04:38:21 PM
I was wondering what's minimum / ideal amount of BTC or ETH I should have in order to start trading activity

If you have any idea or just want to share your first experience in crypto trading, feel free to write them bolow

I dont really think there is a minimum amount you need to start with, but with that being said if your only trading with like $100 or so you should stick to more volatile coins because they will give you the best return.  However, if your investing with more money, like $1k plus i would stick the bigger marketcap alotcoins because they are safer bets.
28  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The pump and dump tactic on: May 12, 2018, 04:34:39 PM
As you know, one of the most popular kinds of manipulations on the cryptocurrency market. Big players on the cryptocurrency market are known as whales. They can manipulate the cryptocurrency price using the tactic “Pump and dump”. Whales buy a lot of cryptocurrency in several days causing price increases. This attracts new investors to the cryptocurrency because hamsters want to buy more cryptocurrency in hopes that the price will be raising and they will be able to sell assets for the higher price. But this isn’t happening, because whales, after gaining a specified mark, begin to dump coins. In such way, whales get a profit, and the price of the cryptocurrency falls. How do you think how not to become the prey of such kind of whales` manipulations?

The only people who become prey to these pump and dump schemes are people who look to others for investing advice and/or people who invest in low volume market.  If you want to avoid this, make your own price predictions that arent based off of what anyone said and stay away from low volume coins.
29  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are common mistakes and problems of the traders? on: May 12, 2018, 04:29:02 PM
I think the most common mistakes that traders/investors make are always derived from either too much greed or being too scared of losing money.  Many people will lose money and have lost money because they keep thinking the price will keep going up when it reality it's going to crash after a certain point.  The same thing applies for people who are too scared but instead they end up selling out of fear that it will never go back up again.
30  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is FUD? YOU FELL FOR FUD!!! on: May 08, 2018, 12:11:39 AM
The problem is not that people cant distinguish between FUD and real news, its that supposedly credible news organizations are misrepresenting facts and or exaggerating the information in order to create click bait headlines that will draw in more readers/viewers.  An example of this was the FUD that spread about China banning bitcoin and crypto.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Update May 8 on: May 08, 2018, 12:00:45 AM
This most recent drop down to $9.3k was kind of disheartening but I hope you are correct, because we've in this bear market for as long as I can remember and I feel like were due for another bull run.  Many altcoins such as bitcoin cash, Ethereum and litecoin (somewhat) experience impressive increases in price while bitcoin was just sitting stagnant.  I think it's definitely due for a massive price spike.
32  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin & College students . on: May 07, 2018, 11:34:16 PM
I believe that a huge portion of the the crypto community are still young college students that don't have any necessities that need another source of income aside from their scholarships / the money they are getting from their parents .
And apart from spending their cryptos on either betting or purchasing goods/video games from online markets , many of these students didn't make plans for what they'll do with their coins in the future.
I myself have had many thoughts about hodling and launching a business as soon as i graduate with the coins in my possession , yet i'm not exactly sure what i'll be doing ..
So i'm really curious about :
- On what do you spend your coins apart than partying/gambling/paying for tuition loans ?
- Do you have any future plans for your coins if you are hodling any ?

I agree with you that many of the people who are investing in bitcoin and crypto are young people who, in many cases, are college students and i happen to be one of them.  I plan on using my crypto investment earnings on other investments and/or to buy something ill need in the future such as a car or a down payment on a house.
33  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Do You Secure Your profits? on: May 07, 2018, 01:19:05 PM
What are all your methods? you use to secure profits from your crypto? when markets are green and you take profits with you before the market goes down

One way I secure my assets is to convert them into money, because money does not matter if the market becomes "red"

I think the best way to secure you profits is to first take out your initial investment (or most of it at least) and put it back into your savings account and only use the profits to keep investing/trading with. Furthermore, once you've made even more money, you should begin to pay yourself by taking out around 25% of the profits, putting them into your bank account and then using the rest to grow your investment fund.
34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODL vs Day trading on: May 07, 2018, 01:15:37 PM
I think the best is HODL because if the difference with the day of trading that the results of its advantages are much different because the daytrading is only a little profit while HODL can profit much

I agree with you that HODLing is usually a safer bet, especially for people who do not know how to day trade or are new to investing in general but if you someone does have experience with day trading, then they can definitely make more money from doing that instead of indefinitely holding.
35  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A successful trader must be an educated trader? on: May 07, 2018, 01:42:04 AM
Is it true to state that every successful trader is an educated trader. We know how trading is tedious, reading of chart, analysing the market and making a decisive decision. Do you agree any successful trader must be an educated?

A successful trader does not necessarily have to be an educated trader.  I know several people who got lucky with crypto and made a crazy amount of lucky based off of luck.  They did not have a background in investing and they did not even know how many of the aspects of crypto even worked.  With that being said, i think an educated trader will make more money in the long run because they will make better trades and investments overall.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Secure Bitcoins? on: May 07, 2018, 01:34:37 AM
How to Secure Bitcoins?

The best way to secure your bitcoins/cryptos would be to first be very careful about what sites you visits and about what links you click.  A malicious website can download malware onto your pc without you even knowing and it can steal all of your information including your private keys.  Second of all, if you have a substantial amount of crypto i suggest you put most of it in cold storage by using an electronic wallet or a paper wallet.
37  Economy / Economics / Re: DO NOT SELL! JUST HODL - You've not loss any money if you haven't sold. on: May 07, 2018, 01:30:37 AM
hold it until the price are going to the moon, if we sell it when the price are going drop it just can make more worse, we must calm with bitcoin, and selling few if we need it

Honestly, holding during a bear market/crash is the best way to minimize losses.  I've attempted to trade during the bear market in order to increase my stack or decrease my losses and i failed miserably.  If I just held what i had prior to the crash i would be in a much better position.  With that being said, holding is also what caused me to lose a lot of money because i held even after the price boom and into the bear market.
38  Economy / Economics / Re: Real world use for smart contracts on: May 07, 2018, 01:28:23 AM
I am curious about your point of view though.
Could you imagine blending the real world with something like a smart contract?

For example, could you imagine buying a car at a dealership with ONLY a smart contract,
or would you expect to sign additional legal terms along with it?

My feeling is you need both, but that’s because some terms seem hard to automate (like a “reasonable” grace period if you’re late on the loan).
Or, how would you resolve a situation where the car is defective or warranty disputes...
Huh

I think smart contracts could definitely begin to replace many functions that currently centralized.  Selling things such as cars can definitely be done using a smart contract that creates a decentralized marketplace and uses certain criteria to determine if a transaction was successful or if it requires the assistance of a person.  Furthermore, smart contracts are being used to sell equity in real estate which is revolutionizing how people purchase investment properties.
39  Economy / Economics / Re: FINANCIAL TIPS on: May 07, 2018, 01:26:03 AM
I dont know if this where the right place to post but here it is. This is most applicable for those minimum wage earner who struggles in life and wanted to invest too.

* DONT SPEND BEYOND WHAT YOU EARN.

This is particular to those credit card addicts where swipping it is their life. They spend most of their needs on cards, groceries, gadgets installment etc. They spend beyond their limits and usually paying excess charges because of this. They often didnt get through this swipe pay cycle because of their limited fund capacity.

* SAVE FIRST BEFORE SPENDING

I think this is the hardest part of the financial budget if you are earning just right for paying your monthly bill and daily necessities. But what will you have to do ? . You dont need that high portion of savings everytime. For example , you have $50 on your hand in excess of your expenses, budget it for a week in a very cheap way , groceries would be better, then save what is remained. Take aside your weekly starbucks and put it on your bank. You can take coffe at home or on a cheap way. Small amounts will get big in a time and you can start investing after. You can always reward yourself after if you start investing and earned passively.

* SET SOME GOALS

This is the most effective way ive done so far. Being comitted on your goal is almost 100% sure. If you are setting a goal for example this year where you have to save $5 weekly and you will save $260 in the end of the year, if you always looking for the outcome, im sure you will do this without leaping or maybe advance save it up.

All three of this is what i do everytime ans it helps me save and gain some capitals for investment on cryptocurrency. I hope these three would help someone even on a little way.

I think these are great general financial tips that can help ordinary people as well as traders/investors.  People who take out loans or put their whole life savings into crypto investments are financially irresponsible and should rethink their decisions.  Furthermore, people should not invest all their money into one basket a.k.a coin and instead they should diversify.  Furthermore, if someone does not have enough money to start investing, they can save up a little every month, like you said, until they have enough.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is BCH an effective investment option in the long run? on: May 07, 2018, 01:22:29 AM
Hello community crypto, I am a newcomer to this market. My initial investment was a few ETH. I notice that in recent days, BCH value seems to increase quite high compared to the general market. > 10%. So, BCH has to be a good investment for long term to hold?

Im not really sure why bitcoin cash went up so much over the past month but i dont think it's due the fundamentals of bitcoin cash.  I've noticed that in many cases some altcoins will experience drastic price drops during a bear market and thats what happened to bitcoin cash.  The result is that is recovered those losses during the recovery which is why the price went up a lot more than the other cryptos.
