Just saw this article. Don't think it has been posted yet. It's about the Freewallet smartphone apps for Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero being approved for the apple app store so they are available on android and iPhone:

http://www.econotimes.com/Apple-approves-Freewallet-adds-Ethereum-bitcoin-and-Monero-wallets-to-App-Store-237638

I am not likely to use a mobile wallet myself in the near future but it is always good to see more wallet options appearing, provided they are solid. Any opinions on this one?

Been here since the start of June 2014.
YTD:
Bought None
Sold None
HODLing (always said XMR was a long term hold)

Lots of cash to direct into crypto in the next few months though. Planning to steadily buy BTC up to the halvening, and see how the XMR price responds.

ASIC-resistant pure-PoW coin with many independent miners, fair launched, healthy distribution (objectively shown by high available liquidity), vibrant and inclusive open source project that demonstrably attracts developers, integrated into a privacy-centric development effort including the privacy-enhanced cryptocurrency and I2P router development, deployed and proven dynamic block size scalability, 2-year project and code maturity, well-defined governance, strong experienced core team with diverse skills, proven forum funding system (crowdfunding).

Very nice summary. The Monero difference.

The current consolidation phase seems quite healthy to me. It will be good for Monero long term if we can finally say a permanent farewell to the sub 200k price dips. Having said that, I should have some more funds to divert into crypto in the next couple of months. Sub 200k would be a big buy signal as usual.

I told you guys a month or so ago, that XMR had broken out against BTC and that it wouldn't make lower lows w.r.t. to BTC, but you needed to sell some because the market is going to be incredibly volatile and bear market directed until later this year or Q1 2017.

I explained the reason in my prior post, if you click off to read the detailed post, you will learn something.

No one listens to me  even though I am nearly always correct on the markets. How many examples would you need. I called the first top in ETH, then the overall top in March before others did. I called the rise of silver from $25 to $48 and decline to $26 on Oct 2010 many months before it occurred. I called various moves in Bitcoin such as predicting on this forums last April or May that Bitcoin would rally to $320 then decline.

So, it sounds like you are criticising everyone else for not trading based on your calls, when you didn't trade based on your calls. Correct?

Generally I have been pretty accurate in my views and people following my predictions have good odds to make actually some real money.

I will be interested in buying Moneros when we are at 0.0005-levels - we actually might go even below that - we will see.

December 22, 2014:

2016 price target 100 usd/xmr
2017 price target 1,000 usd/xmr
2018 price target 10,000 usd/xmr
2019 price target Moon.

This begs the obvious question of how much XMR one should hold? I am adding a few btc a week at the moment.

While there are fewer holders, a greater chunk is harmless in benevolent hands.  If you hold 18K, (currently ~11k XMR) there can't be 1000 others like you. That is a lot for one entity to control, and yet at times that has been as little as 18 BTC,  or $5K.  Accessible to most anyone in the western world with a job or a credit card.  Even now 30k USD for 1/1000 of the pie is kind of ridiculously cheap.  IMO to hold that or more should be part of a plan to redistribute as user base increases.  Since there are most certainly entities with 10X that amount and more, we just have to hope that greed is enough to get them to redistribute as time goes on, and in a responsible manner.
Extreme wealth sounds like more headaches than it is worth, unless you have a plan for it like aminorex.  I will be content to just nibble around the edges of extreme wealth, from time to time :p  Low profile works for me.  If I can provide security for my family, perhaps contribute in some way to my community, I will be well pleased.  Not everyone wants to rule the world with a target on their back.  I'm happy to leave that to the young and ambitious.

You're not wrong and I agree TA needs to be taken lightly, but it has been very advantageous for me since XMR began this breakout Wink

I prefer the fact that we had 66% inflation of the XMR money supply over the last year (to 25th March 2016), while in the next year it will be only 24%, and 11.7% the year after that.

Probably going to see some consolidation here, price right now is between fibs from last years pump and the original polo pump. I expect a lot of liquidity here.

Like over 3500 BTC daily volume on Polo? Too late.

that was to get us up to the liquidity pool, not past it.

Sorry, but I just cannot take TA very seriously on a market the size of XMR. I suppose if enough participants are chartists it might work a bit by herd movement.

Mixin must be at least 3

Try:
transfer 3 <adr> <amount>

Or:
transfer_new 3 <adr> <amount>

Nice catch magico, and a good reminder for everyone.

Very nice!  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Who should we credit for the text on Monero there? It seems pretty well researched.

Quicken 210 votes.
First I have seen of this thread in over a year, and the first I have heard of a now expired vote. Was any of this dissolution vote stuff cross-posted on the main Monero thread? I can't see it going back through to January. I only regularly check the main thread and the speculation thread.  Huh

anyone have the latest trezor binaries for monero?

https://forum.getmonero.org/4/academic-and-technical/2495/experimental-trezor-firmware-testing

The Dropbox links on this page give me an error.

Ok, now that everyone got their fork done... can we talk about this please?

Looks like it's too popular? Good sign, but it may need moving I suppose.

Feels to me like we will soon be making an 18 month BTC high at 4.3 mBTC

Steady as she goes.
