Perfect example why we should not use a service just because it is promoted by our favorite celebrities.
1xbet attract people because of thier high odds and profits to be made
It is good to do our own research we should not believe in others, advertisement has been a way to market businesses but advertisers do not know how legit the business is, they only advertise and get paid for the advert. Advertising is one of the ways scammers are getting happy today. I have only used nairabet, bet9ja and merrybet before after I make my research, 1xbet is not from Nigeria I can not use it. Nigeria has good betting sites, why people going to fake ones.

1xbet Alleged Scam
In recent times, participants of 1xbit campaign are given negative tags for promoting b1xbit. Some have link the company 1xbit with 1xbet as owned by the same person. Although there hasn't been sufficient evidence to prove this.
Here is the story.
Quote
There was chaos and unrest in Yaoundé, Cameroon recently after a man reportedly won 13 billion CFA Francs ($22 million) on 1xBet but wasn’t paid. It was gathered that the man played a bet with $350 (200,000 CFA Francs) and won the 13bn CFA Frans/22 million dollars, but, rather than pay him the money, the sports betting company allegedly closed and deleted his account.
When he visited the office to complain, they offered him
$687,000 (400 million CFA Francs).
He was said to have rejected it and demanded the original sum but the betting company reportedly refused.
The man went to inform people in his neighbourhood and
this provoked youths who then stormed the Sports betting centre.
It erupted into a riot as youths were said to have wielded weapons demanding that the man be paid his 13 billion
CFA Francs.

I was thinking of using this betting site before, all have been hearing about 1xbet on Nigeria comedians too, it is more rampant and more advertised than crypto exchange. Nigerias should be careful of 1xbit.

If we have nairabet, bet9ja, merrybet and many many Nigerian betting sites that are worthy trust, why should we use 1xbit. Do not use.

That their promo code and x2 return is making me to be afraid of the site 1xbit

I can see from a post that we can check some exchanges on coin market cap and coingecko, I don't see roqqu and patricia, are you sure the exchange are good? Are the exchange local nigeria exchange?

I have see patricia advertised on big brother Nigeria before, I am think it will be good.

I want to ask also are they giving me private key or they will have it? Have you used Patricia before? Hkwnis there service.

I am asking this because I want to support local exchange too.
Roqqu and Patricia are Nigerian owned exchanges. The others are  foreign exchanges (binance, Coinbase), these exchanges are centralized and provide custodial wallets which means you don't have access to your private keys. You entrust your crypto entirely to the exchange. Here you are not in control of your crypto if something should happen to the exchange your crypto goes along with it. That's why it is preferable to use non custodial wallets to store your crypto. You can buy from centralized exchanges but never store on centralized exchanges.
I know little about custodial and noncustododial because custodial do not have private key, that is why I asked the question, thank you.

I registered on Patricia now, it is asking me of my bank details and bvn, that is where I stopped. This will be the last question, how many coins is Patricia is having? Is it better than remitano?

Can I go for exchange advertised in Nigeria by comedians?

I like watching comedy a lot, I noticed comedy have turn to business in Nigeria, all them are doing it for one reason, the reason is to be rich, they are using it for advertising and they are paid.

The question I want to ask is that many exchanges they are advertising I have not heard of the exchanges before, what are you know about the exchanges, are the exchanges safe to use to buy bitcoin true true?

What I mean are crypto exchanges.
Note that most of the comedy skits carry a disclaimer. DYOR the comedians cannot be held responsible for any action from the exchanges. I suggest you use the popular exchanges like binance, Coinbase,  roqqu, Patricia

Na true that your friend talk. The way police and army harass people for east e come be like say na war de happen for Imo State. The guns de carry make their heads swell like say de can not die but when it happens they will run. APC succeeded in spoiling this country. They have taken us back to the junta years.

Not only east my brother, I am not know of north but the whole south I am sure the south east, the south west, the south south and south central, police are arresting the innocents in this places. The worst part is that the unemployment in nigeria is higher the before. We are in an unfortunate country. If police know that you are doing crypto, you will see them very soon just to get money from you.

Happy new month

Will nigeria cryptocurrencies again

Hi everyone, it has been more over 9 months nigeria ban crypto, is crypto going to legalize in nigeria again, it is taking took long time, I think it will only be less than 5 months before it will good back but there is nothing good now about crypto in nigeria. Crypto will have known more in nigeria but the government plans is to make crypto illegal as I see it now.

I am thinking the government nigeria is having a bad thing about crypto what they will still bring up to make sure nigeria people do not crypto again. Will crypto be like like china in nigeria or government will legalize it?

In all this matter, the issue with the borrowing be say, na the thing way them dey carry  do. If e been con turn up say, after them borrow this money, them carry am do watin go add better value to we nation and them complete the project, e for sure scatter. At least, we the citizens for see say, one sector don dey covered and na only maintaince go be our concern.

Instead, na to borrow money to repair presidential jet! How that kind matter wan help me? Omo, if the money no dey again, make e fly first class. Chop the embarrassment small, we don too suffer for politician selfish comfort.

If e get any kontry way see politics true-true as dirty game, na we kontry naija. As you just enter, you don dey device scheme, dey fine cartel way you go join, make you from there dey chop. Omo, e choke I swear, anyhow way person talk or reason, nothing still dey change and na that one bad pass.
Our leaders will sell us to China if the borrowing without any good development continues, a time is coming when the government will not be able to handle it again if they continue to borrow more, they are forgetting that wealth can buy a nation.

Police sabi yahoo boys no be by going out with palasa or not, who does dat  Shocked
If you no comport yourself, by moving when others are moving, going to the right places then na you dey open yourself up. Na person wey open im mouth say make dem see im long teeth, na I'm teeth long pass be that.

That is just it, police Sabi them all they are all friends, it is because yahoo boys knows their importance, if you know them you are strong, they are also informing the yahoo that efcc is coming.
30  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: November 28, 2021, 10:27:24 AM

You just better dey careful, even now sey them get apps to hide some content of your phone, infact this update is old, and police has been able to over come am, and again you know sey there is something called under duress, na wetin them fit fall on top your body, a police man can take you to the ATM to withdraw all you money under duress, you just gats dey very private about your doings and always do the legit things.
Zna true nobi bad tin to kip your phone or lappi for house, dis go help remain pure to the police, this what yahoo boy dey do, we nid to do ham to. That is what I be do all di time, I am free from them. Only what can happen is for them cops to come burst me for house, am I a yahoo boy, I am not a yahoo boy, that can not happen. Take palasa or chinko phone out and use good one for home is the way, naija wise. Grin
31  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: November 27, 2021, 07:03:47 AM
Please I go fall body for this matter, right now even if you show police your proof to be a crypto-currency enthusiast them no go let you go, them recently beat one of my guy blue black because him been no one show them him binance application, so as me dey go our activities make we carry caution on top our head, they just one get crypto-currency out of the way completely to the extent dem one see crypto-currency as part of cyber crime.

In any where you are try to be friend to have power, police are yahoo guys friends. If you have been with the yahoo boys you will know how I am the right. I have the way I am doing it, I hide my crypto app now, you can not see it on my phone, it will take more investigation before they can see it, if they see it, I use pattern require to unlock before the app to know to them. My phone uses only password to unlike but the app to unhidden need only pattern. I can tell them I don't know the pattern again if I like, I do not use it for phone the reason.

This might soon be the fate of Nigeria. We borrow ridiculous loans every year for projects that are not executed. We, citizens have come to see corruption as a normal way of life which is wrong. A thread on Twitter sometime ago was about each Nigeria is estimated to owe about 50,000 naira. I used to think its a joke but reading this article today I am having second thoughts

Who cares,I don't care, a home is a place where some is and see comfort, I drop not bad if I have enough money and travel to a country with greener pasture, but a place that is not full of racist. If they tell you Nigeria can be good, it is a lie.

Africans have all needed but prefer to be too much dependent on other continents, that is why they are the poorest continent. Presently, we are in the era of sapa in Nigeria.

When they don't have brain, the ones that have brain are not like politics, if they like it they will be killed. Another election will be coming, the citizens will sell their right for just 5000 naira again.

The way sars officials police arrest young people is for no reason is alarming. Just yesterday, w friend boarded a cab home on the way they were stopped by police. First he was accused as a yahoo boy, they searched his phone and found binance and trust wallet. They transferred his money from his trust wallet to an address. They couldn't transfer from binance because of 2FA. So guys stay woke! Crypto/forex trading us criminal in the eyes of Police. "They hate what they do not understand"
Did you know that the police are friends to of yahoo boys, I can not say all that I have seen for my account not to be investigated, the police are friends to yahoo. Nobody can just say they are informants when efcc is coming. If you do not know the way in Nigeria, the holy ones will suffer when police and the boys are drinking beer together. Have you seen a police before that stop their car because the boys are walking, they tell the boys why are you not with your car that are you going to this direction. The boys did not enter the car saying this is where I am going to pointed to somewhere in the front they all smiled together. But the one not yahoo will be suffered because he do not know the way.

Have you look up Jumia? You can find some offline wallet there as well there was a link Charles-Tim posted on this thread about jumia selling those Leno and ledger but if the site offers shipping directly to Nigeria then e also make sense, don't worry about custom service I'm sure 98% of have not seen or know the use of it.

I want to order for ledger nano wallet from the ledger nano company directly, is it a good idea? I can see that they can ship the wallet to Nigeria in few days, the wallet is not expensive for me, I want to buy it. What I am fear of now are the custom not to seize the wallet because the cbn ban crypto in nigeria. Is it good idea to order for ledger nano when cbn ban bitcoin.

Thank you

Have you considered the cost of shipping and the delivery duration? I think shipping from far away nations takes minimal 20-25 days to get it shipped to Lagos except you chooses to use Airshippment which is quite expensive. Have you ever seen a case where shipping fees are bigger than material carted?
Yes, I considered the cost. If it is Ledger Nano, there are free shipping for most of their products as I explained above, while the shipping can be set to free but it will truly take longer weeks. If someone is in need of one urgently, the person will like go for the alternative means like buying from Jumia directly in Nigeria which may likely take days too depending on the state the person is reciding. But Ledger Nano S on Jumia is very expensive.

There is a common online store that is frequently used by Nigerians but based in US that always do have these kind of products. See how cheaper the price of Ledger Nano S is on the site including the shipping and the custom fee. For standard shipping, it is ₦7,410 which could take 5-9 business working days while you can still go for express shipping for ₦10,920.00. But it is clearly stated on the site that custom delay might occur whille shipping some items which is normal.

Also check it on Amazon but excluding the custom fee, the price is very low.

I am not using this as a means of encouraging Nigerians to buy from the above sites as they are resellers but just to prove how the price of hardware wallet on Nigeria stores is too much expensive. I will prefer to buy directly from Ledger, prefer free shipping if I order Ledger Nano X, or two or more Ledger nano S. While I can still go for three Ledger Nano S with free shipping for -21% discount.
Thank you

I will order from ledger directly but I am think that sites will be better, Jumia are thieves the price is almost more than double after all the fees are along it.
