21  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory .wallet transfers possible? on: July 28, 2014, 02:06:31 PM
Quick question, is it possible to transfer the armory_randomkey_.wallet files to different machine then restart armory on the other computer to have the wallet on the new machine?

Yes. You can just copy the files over, and even have multiple instances of Armory running at the same time with the same wallets. (Such behavior, of course, isn't recommended.) Just place the wallets wherever each version of Armory looks for wallets, and you're good to go.

Doug, not in a Homo way or anything. But i love you man.  Grin

Quick question, is it possible to transfer the armory_randomkey_.wallet files to different machine then restart armory on the other computer to have the wallet on the new machine? Or what would be the best way to back up and duplicate wallets that contain a bunch of imported keys from vanity addresses to another machine without having to save all the WIF keys and paste them over to the new machine then have armory spend a bunch of time importing them all.

Thanks

Ok, a few questions here crhis,

1: what format (.txt, .bat, .dat etc.) does the address file have to be in. I cannot seem to get it to work. it ran as a .txt but then i did not see any addresses in any fields in the wallet so i assume they did not import.

2: if they did import where do i go to look as i cannot find anything as of now.

Thanks

Just one quick question in case your not on when i get home does the file path have to be in quotes "C:\myfilenamehere" or are the quotes not needed?
25  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Help with key imports and finding the best client on: July 27, 2014, 11:16:20 PM
Thanks Chris, i am going to give it a try as soon as i get home. If this works, i owe you one big time.
26  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Importing a list of private keys on: July 27, 2014, 10:39:55 PM
I found on another thread a reference to a RPC command "importwallet" although i can find no documentation about it anywhere so i am looking for a different approach.

How would a person import a list of private keys into Bitcoin QT through either debug window or Bitcoind? Not a single address but a long list of private keys.

write a script (python, perl, bash) and use a loop which executes the rpc-command "importprivkey" on every privatekey inside your list. if you need any support, let me know.

regards

Bista that would be awesome, could you give me an example? like a .bat file or something with just a few spoofed keys that i could use as a template then i can just copy and paste the few hundred addresses i have left to import.

Sorry for semi-hijacking the thread Terra

BTCchirs, Totally noob when it comes to the advance stuff. To do what you said i would basically open Bitcoind, and in the command line just type importwallet C:\myfilenamehere then hit enter? and from there it would import the entire file? or is there some step i am missing? i am not too familiar with the backend stuff or RPC
29  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which wallet will give me sound notifications? on: July 27, 2014, 02:43:46 PM
I could write three lines of code that would add sound notification to Electrum... but there's one HUGE caveat.

Electrum doesn't do well with +100 addresses.

The reason why is that most Electrum servers (all run by individuals on open source software) rate limit their servers. The "synchronizing" stage would most likely be seen as DOSing and you'll probably never get a server to give you the balances for all those addresses.

I would recommend finding someone with C programming experience to add sound notifications to bitcoind and then you can compile your own bitcoind (Bitcoin Core) and import the keys with a script. (remember to use the rescan=False option for every private key except for the last one you import)

Thanks Dabura667,

I never thought of having someone code an add on. that sounds like a good idea. i'm sure someone would pick it up on a bounty campaign Smiley

Thats a rough spot to be in, lucky you had the key dump file  Grin I am in a similar spot myself, only just a thousand or so addresses from years back. I'll be keeping my eye out though to see what the community has to say about this, i too would be interested in a good answer.
31  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Which wallet will give me sound notifications? on: July 26, 2014, 11:30:30 PM
I am looking to find a wallet that can do a few things for me and i dont want to download them all to see which work in any of these manners. I have been a long time armory user but need a few features i am not getting currently.

1: and probably the most important i cannot find. I need a wallet that makes a sound, plays a noise, or something audible when bitcoin are received. Armory gives me a bubble that pops up from the toolbar, but no sound.

2: It needs to be able to easily import WIF style private keys, and function well with a ton of them (thousands... its a long story i would rather not explain but will summarize below briefly.)

3: It needs to be a windows desktop application, not a web wallet, not an android wallet, it needs to be like the original bitcoin client or armory where i have it on my own home network.

The summary.....

I was into bitcoin a long long long time ago when it was a new thing ( no i am not rich from it ), i was a faucet and referral program whore. Back then i did not understand anything about bitcoin and was paranoid about using the same address in two places so every faucet with an affiliate program i signed up for i used a different address. I recently found that old laptop with a ton of addresses on it and low and behold i had about a half a bitcoin sitting there after 3 days of sync time with the network. Not to mention, since i got back into bitcoin i am still a referral program whore although i learned not to use a different address with all of them recently i still made a ton before january. I am still getting payments from faucets from 3 years ago as recently as 2 days ago so i do not want to just forget about the addresses. SUMMARY: i just need a place to import all these addresses and forget about them. I need a loud audible sound to notify on coins received as i have no idea how secure i was back then and dont want to leave coins sitting in possible compromised addresses.

Any help would be great

Thanks

I have to comment after seeing one of these coins in person that my friend bought. The coin is absolutely beautiful but what really caught my eye with them was the Hologram. I have had a few physical coins over the days, even a 1/10th titan, and i have to say the hologram on these shines and catches the eye better than any other hologram i have seen. Do you mind if i ask where you had them made? I have just been using generic holograms for my personal paper wallets and would love to have some similar to yours made.

I can provide you with the info however something you should know;
Before a customer hologram can ever be printed a Mercury Die needs to be made, the cost for a customs for like that is $2,500. Once that has been created then you can order your hologram to be printed. So it's quite costly. Let me know if you still want the info.

Yes if you wouldn't mind sharing the info that would be awesome

Still mind if i snag that info from you?

35  Economy / Goods / Re: 55% off Armani Watches - Bitcoin payment on: July 23, 2014, 09:35:13 AM
Did a little digging around here guys and found that although shipped from HongKong via Shenzhen EMS this watches are coming from Shenzhen directly. To most this might not seem like anything but from a person who has been to Shenzhen many times i can tell you that Shenzhen is the counterfeit capital of the world. They even have a HUGE mall that is specifically for nothing more than counterfeit goods. I use to know a guy in NYC that bought these counterfeit watches direct from a factory in Shenzhen for $13 each then hustle the streets trying to sell them for whatever he could. Even up close they look authentic as the outer workings of the watch are not hard to replicate, but take it to any real watch shop and have them open it up and they will tell you in an instant that it is not real. Beyond the brand name, the other half of the reason you pay so much for an Armani watch is because of the quality components and craftsmanship inside the watch that make it last for several life times.

Further need i point out that as a "luxury" brand and as part of their luxury brand management, Armani DOES NOT do wholesale distribution and discontinued items are destroyed to protect the brands reputation, much the same as Louis Vuitton and other high fashion brands.

iam rather suprised that the price has yet to rise considering whats going on with this coin....

what do you mean?

Most all of everything you are reading is just hype intended to drive the price up or convince people to buy. Not just this thread, its the same with all AltCoin threads. Best just to dismiss it and make decisions based on your own observations.

5 Days left to sell the last kitten. Dont miss an opportunity to bring one of these majestic animals into your home for a quarter of what they would normally cost. Baxter needs a girlfriend before he starts trying to impregnate the couch.
38  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bittrex Ticker Module for Drupal? on: July 22, 2014, 12:07:08 AM
Just wondering if anyone knows of a Drupal module for the Bittrex Ticker as displayed here at the bottom of the screen?

If not would anyone be interested in coding one quick, and what would you charge? The API does not look too difficult from what i can tell, i'm just new to drupal.

These cats look so cool. I have 3 "normal" short hair domestic cats. How big do these grow in comparison to the average feline?

Hi Jefferson,

It is different with every litter across the breed and a lot depends on the size and bloodlines of the parents. On average and F4sbt ( the kittens from this first litter ) are about double the size of the average domestic cat, but that is just an average. Much like dogs, you can look at their paws when they are born and get a good idea of their size as a full grown adult. So if you wanted a larger cat you would pick one from the litter with larger paws. Savannahs take about 3 years to reach their full size as their average life expectancy is normally 15 to sometimes 30 years.

As our stud Baxter is a silver with heavy white undercoat and the Female is a solid buttery yellow with black spots like the Serval is, we expect a mix of colors in the first litter, and a few larger than average kittens due to both parents 5 generation pedigree.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.
