21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: June 17, 2024, 05:22:08 PM
Belgium 0 : 1 Slovakia (HT)

The first half result between Belgium vs Slovakia was an unsurprising result. Without Courtois, he would not be able to withstand the opponent's attacks. The risk of not calling Courtois in the first place was already a big mistake for them. Initially looking at group E, it was assumed that Belgium would qualify easily, but in my opinion it was the opposite, Romania, Ukraine and Slovakia had surprises that Belgium would definitely not easily overcome.
Doku, De Bruyne and Lukaku on the front line are quite ideal because the combined attack pillars of these three players can be very effective, but it comes back to whether these three players can find a match with each other to break through the opponent's goal. In the second half Belgium should have been able to catch up, 1 goal could still be achieved and Slovakia appeared more aggressive to secure the score.
Slovakia isn't a weak side that we would have expected the Belgium side to dominate the game and not conceive an early goal if it were to be that courtois was in the goalie. The early leaf by Slovakia was an opportunity which presented itself and they had to take it. Casteels has made number of saves in the first half particularly that precised  volley kick in the 40th minutes.

With the presence of KDB, Lukaku and Doku in the frontline I had thought they would give a reply to that early goal from Slovakia before the end HT. Although Belgium has absolutely had some good chances but they are all getting ruined and frustrated by the brilliance of the Slovakian defenders. Coming back to the second half the trio must intensify their campaign against the Slovakian defense to grease  in a goal into behind the net, in any worse result a 1:1 draw could be commended.
22  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading psychology and TA on: June 17, 2024, 03:48:49 PM
I have observed great number of traders debate on the issue of having a solid psychology and right approach to trading better pay off than just relying on some Strong Technical Analysis but others don't believe in psychology they base there points on having a winning strategy and proper risk management
What's your take guy's...
Does Psychology exist or is just an illusion of you not  having the right approach and risk management, fundamentals...that affect your trades

In my not too little engagement in trading, I have realized that your psychology plays the biggest role of you being a successful trader or not. All the fundamental and technical analysis including risk management does not take more than 20% of you being successful in trading. Trading is actually vigorous and will take you a long time to be a profitable one. But the bigger picture lies on you being able to handle your psychology.

I have had experience about it before and those alike have also said the same about trading. You will most time do your fundamental and Technical analysis and also employ proper risk management but your inability to control your psychology (emotions) will make you not to trust that analysis and you end up leaving the trade too early at loss or not even enter the trade at all and regret why you never did when it goes your way. Psychology is important in trading and if you’ve find a way to handle it, you’re 80% success rate of being a profitable trader.

Do you imply that Psychology is the key in Trading and not necessarily TA; I disagree. TA is more than 20% when it comes to Trading.
Am not saying Psychology is not vital, but Psychology is a crap when you do not have a good Technical edge, the Technical edge is what builds you, gives one the confidence, and also boost your win rate because you already know what you should and should not in a Market, the reason many Traders fail is because they blame psychology whereas they are the problem from there strategy, approach risk management all sucks. .
To be  well organized as a sophisticated trader both technical analysis and psychology are in-part very important in leading to a successful win on any trade. You don't rely so much on one and overlook the other, in fact they both work in synergy to put the trader in the right direction with his strategy entering  the market.

A trader can have a great T.A about the market and gets in but ends up losing that trade due to a lack of a strong psychology on his part when the market throws a fake out at him.  You have to be prepared for the two because that's what it takes to win.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An analogy in gambling. on: June 17, 2024, 10:50:58 AM
Do you believe this analogy as to sport betting? that sometimes, casino bets with higher stakes are likely to not cut it? Considering the amount that a certain multiplier could reach?

I've known a certain group of gamblers that would sing their praises to games with lower potential winnings. At some point, I'm stuck in-between the fact that they're either lucky with games of little potential winnings and it happens on almost every winning tickets? Again, if you're also in doubt to their belief, is their winning tickets on the low outcome always a coincidence? Also, if the casinos are always cautious as to not incuring too much to pay, how about tickets with $800k winnings?

There is no way a belief of any kind has a role to play in the  prospects of odds playing or not. It's a common axion to know that high odds games has slim chances of getting us a winning while low odds are the ones with greater winning chances. It's a statistic that bookmakers are aware of and  uses It to the house advantage except in lucky grounds that we gambler get to profit from higher stakes. I would have agreed with others who say it's a 50/50 but calculating how many times we gamblers get to win using higher-up odds to that of losing its within reason to say it's actually a 30/70 chances than 50/50.
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one of those did you partake in? on: June 16, 2024, 05:19:49 PM
Responsible gambler who is said to gamble for fun is not identified by words but by their gambling actions which are not excluded to loss chasing, gambling excessively, compulsive gambling and the likes.

That you give yourself a target percentage to use for gambling out of your salary or savings doesn't make for complete exhaustion of that percentage to gambling. If am to expend any percentage for gambling from a 10,000$ savings it wouldn't be 10%, that's much for a 10k savings. And I think it would be much fun and entertaining if less percentage should be used for someone with a 10k savings.
Percentage are shares and this will take the next phase. Responsible gambler will partake in gambling that will fetch them huge earnings. Gambling is a tough one, we should be able to stationed for good strategies for winnings. Giving yourself a target is necessary and we know basically what to do.
what do you mean by percentage are shares? Do you mean to say they are like investment shares or what?

Participating in gambling by going after  huge earning can be very risky and frustrating as smaller wins are easier to come by than huge wins which could make a gambler experience series of losses over a long time of gambling. Perhaps the reason why we see those posts in the gambling board talking about how they have been experiencing losses over time without a single interlude win. Since gambling is a tough game even though we do share some fun in it it's fundamental to be mindful of the size of wins we go for as the higher the amount the higher the risk involved.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set a specific bankroll before gambling or not? on: June 16, 2024, 02:43:08 PM
"Bankroll" is usually a term used in sports betting. From what I've read in some of the threads here, we need to be disciplined in managing our bankroll, typically betting only 5% to 10% per wager. So I'm curious: do bettors here really set up a bankroll first before they start gambling, or do they just gamble whenever they have available money?
.
Bankroll isn't a new concept in the forum as it's constantly discussed in diverse ways in the forum. It is a fundamental  mechanism  in gambling responsibly, in as much as it's important in helping the gambler not to gamble away every available cash at hand so fast, not every gambler adhere to theirs. Some don't bother  having it.

Quote
Please share your experience whether positive or negative and what you learn from it
Am quite sure I would have recked my finances by now if have been gambling all along without a bankroll. I don't  know how others gambling comfortably without a bankroll but am sure their experiences won't be a sweet one to be in.

27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can You Memorize Your Recovery Phrase? on: June 16, 2024, 07:05:40 AM
Just remembered that I have written the recovery seed phrase of my Electrum on a piece of paper somewhere in my place. I'm wondering what could go wrong since my place isn't too secured.  How about trying to memorize it? Is it possible?

Would you try?
What are the benefits? ... and the setbacks.
Our seed phrase isn't just any other kind of phrase which is why it shouldn't be written just on any paper and shouldn't be placed in any place not well secured. Think again, you might actually have somewhere really safe to have it kept.

On memorize our seed phrase if it's possible. Yes it is, and  it's has so much to do with the individual's level intelligence and the length of the phrase and other determinant like how busy a person you are, as in how occupied you get with many other things at hand needing your attention. For someone like me with so much to meet up in my head I'll prefer writing it down and have it kept in a safe position as my human faculty can fail me due to stress and other factors.

These are actually good sites to look for a job, but if the op has no skill to offer on these platforms then these won't be of much help to him but it is still a good post. Thanks for sharing it with us. Although we can start making money online with few skills and some good communication skills and yeah with some luck too. I hope OP would find some job I don't know where he lives, I mean I thought people mostly living in Europe countries don't have to struggle about finding a job.
Skill' it is preparation meeting opportunity but when a person is without any useful skill an opportunity doesn't seem to become an opportunity for that individual.  And no where in the world is all that perfect as there will certainly be some defects somehow, just that somewhere it will me very minimal, else where it will be very extreme (I mean the job issues).

And worse of it in Op case to his difficulty in finding a job as he wish is as a result of his health problem. According to the Op he's suffering from a leg and back health challenge and you and I knows that no manager will want to hire such a person, for them it's a liability in the search for efficiency and great productivity.

Therefore @AGD, it's not too late despite what you may be going through at the moment, pick up yourself because if you don't then know one will do it for you. Take opportunity of the internet and learn an online skill, you can use  YouTube and other channels to do so, and in no time you won't have to be beg for any supports.

Finding oneself under such condition it's crazy I know, but best to have a digital skill where you can work remotely from home with any organization at all, in that way your physical challenge won't matter to your employer so far as you're delivering your task as demanded.

30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: June 15, 2024, 05:32:00 PM
Am still learning how this Croatia defense could let Spain get the ability to get in three goals behind their net within the first half. The game was as good as over right from when the third goal by Carvajal was secured in the added time before the half time.

Spain are calmly set up, so direct with the ball in this game, playing  so clinically with intense pressure on Croatia which got me thinking that there's a possibility for more goals to come in for Spain. This game is beyond the strength of Modric and it's just going to be a right thing to do if the Croatia coach could substitute him and bring in a younger player because Modric to me he's just not giving that impact as he's known due to age. However, am not seeing any signs of a comeback from Croatia.

Hey guys, I was browsing Twitter when I came across a post from KOl that caught my attention. They shared some pictures and asked, 'Which stage of the bullrun do you think we are at right now?' What are your thoughts? Which stage do you think we're currently
I imagine it that there are replies under the post when you came across it and could have been some replies with answers to it. Did you take time to scroll down to get to see if there's any reply that gave any idea about the stages? Or perhaps you didn't.

Check on this YouTube video link below the speaker shared a four phases of a bull run which there which comprises of opportunity, good entry, good run and, exit phase. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3Dz7u7jWCUGVo&ved=2ahUKEwjR3d_e9t2GAxVuh_0HHaAdDPkQFnoECAQQBQ&usg=AOvVaw2IDjpbrp8FLq-7P4spI5Tv

Though I don't know how right is that.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Accepting Crypto Salaries Worth It? on: June 15, 2024, 09:50:21 AM
The main culprit? Crypto’s notorious volatility. Unlike a steady paycheck, Bitcoin and similar currencies can swing wildly in value. This means freelancers could see their hard-earned income shrink before they convert it to usable cash.
This no strong argument against the many extraordinary benefits of bitcoin, if it were to be altcoins they are raising the argument about high volatility I would consider but for bitcoin the volatility is very moderate in my view to altcoins, and for a worker that chooses to regularly make withdraws at each payday to convert to fiat then it's nothing to worry about.

I would rather deal with bitcoin volatility than with the middle man through those conventional means of transactions using any fiat currency. If anyone should be worried about anything with money value, it shouldn't be bitcoin volatility but inflation which without fail continuously to assail fiat currencies.
33  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nor Be Just to Know Bitcoin, Na Who Teach You and Wetin Dem Tell You on: June 14, 2024, 10:29:58 PM
Another great job well done by the Nigerian police, not always about negative news about them shaa. For those boys to cook this sort of plan and demand their ransom in bitcoin nah be say the boy papa nah person wey go don get knowledge about bitcoin or them know say the man dey on crypto so sending them the ransom through bitcoin will make the money untraceable where it's going.

People they carry out bad  and other criminal activities using fiat and nobody don comdem fiat say nah bad currency or say it dey promote crime so I wonder why it dey sound shocking when this same criminally minded people come use bitcoin it come be like say na bitcoin be the problem. People go wan to use something good even in the wrong way . Na only ignorant people wey no sabi bitcoin go dey tink anyhow.
34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: June 14, 2024, 08:30:58 PM
I think the last 5 Euro start games have been won by the opening team and this might be that game where a draw might emerge out of nowhere and I've been having this feeling for quite a while and by all means , Scotland does have a strong team who could create problems and score goals. I think a much safer bet is both teams to score but we will find out as the game just started.
Currently watching this game right now and am not seeing such a strong team from the Scottish side as you had praised them to be,  Germany is leading by 4 goals to nothing against Scotland. I mean this game right from the first half was just too easy for the Germans, and it's not surprising to me because I saw this coming right in my earlier comment before the kickoff.

There's not going to be any upset in this game from Scotland, and playing with a one man down makes their hopes more dwindling. Too bad a way to lose a first match of the tournament and this puts a huge task on them as their qualification in the group stage is purely in doubt.
35  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 14, 2024, 06:11:20 PM
But when it comes to Chelsea, of course this is a potential business for TOD, he will buy more players again maybe for this season, we know that his habit is always to collect a lot of players and resell them or even kill someone's career because they don't get playing time and most of the substitutes in his cage.
It's a no, no, no for me Chelsea is not a good destination for the young lad considering his age and with lots of young players in the Chelsea team it makes my preference for real madrid more stronger because he needs to be in a team where he will eat in no time that needed experience he may be lacking due to his age and Madrid is just right for him with those sets of players.
Regardless of performance, sometimes Chelsea is a good advantage actually if the target is money. We certainly often see a lot of young players who are paid even more than their capacity as players in the sense of value that is more than usual and indeed this will continue to happen as long as Todd is still at Chelsea because it is like an absolute thing for Tod where they will only look for players who are wanted even though their function is not very good at the club.

But talking about performance then Chelsea is indeed not a decent club for young players because after all in the last 2 seasons we can see a lot of young players who lost their potential when they were at Chelsea even for now only Palmer alone does have an advantage while being recruited by Chelsea but for other players such as Enzo, Mudryk or even players of the caliber of Sterling and Caicedo they do not look like great players at Chelsea.
For a young player in his prime playing at a club you know wouldn't be of immense benefits and development to your career but staying  as a result the money thereby jettisoning a better competitive club is very much unwise. Players only do that after they must have spent much part of their career in trophies achievements  and personal rewards they now move to those money interest clubs. Although am not implying that Chelsea is a retirement club but it's just not a great place for young talents right now, except we get to see improving changes next season.

I take Todd to be one of those many wealth paparazzi's that don't know how and what to do with their money and having no clean idea about football he won't let the professionals at it to have a complete charge over the team to do their job, a lot of interference here and there in choice of players signed to the club.
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A man is unable to collect his price cos he forget where he bought the ticket. on: June 14, 2024, 11:13:41 AM
I have seen someone who had same experience and what causes this type of situation is playing bets at numerous gambling offices because when you gamble at different gambling offices then you may not know the exact office you place the bet except the agents address code is written on the bet slip.

As a gambler if two or at most three gambling officies is not satisfactory to your gambling engagement then there is something really wrong with the person(s) and which is possible they definitely need urgent gambling counseling against addiction.

Speaking of agent address code on the bet-slip, the ink that they do use nowadays fades off  too quick and a gambler could lose claiming his money if the codes are incorrect. What I do is to make sure I write those codes out into a jotter to keep at a usual safe place if it's a bet that the games are going to run for some weeks to avoid such ugly scenario whereby the gambling agents will deny me claim of my win.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 13, 2024, 08:11:56 PM
Both Real Madrid and Chelsea were trying hard to hire Pedro Lima the young Brazilian player for the next season.
Since he is a 17-year-old player, he can be a good investment for the team he joins there and he can play there for years and become a superstar player because of the experience he has. While considering the power of Real Madrid I was expecting to see Real Madrid hire this player but this time it seems Chelsea won the race and they are very close to signing the contract with this player.
I'm not sure what Real Madrid expects from this player. Pedro Lima is a very young right-back to be expected to replace Carvajal, so I don't think Real Madrid will take this rumor as reality. So far Real Madrid is more likely to buy quality players than to recruit new stars in their team, of course they don't need more young players because good financial strength can help them find other quality players.

Pedro Lima is only 17 years old and he plays for Sport Recife in Brazil's Serie B. Of course he is looked at by scouts, but I don't think Real Madrid really need this player. If something is needed, then it is very possible for Real Madrid to bring in a quality right-back who can replace the aging Carvajal.
If we consider the age of the Spanish right-winger Lamine Yamal who is about 16 years of age and playing good football at Barcelona then,  Pedro Lima 17 can play much better too playing for Real Madrid as a young player. I think that for Real Madrid to go after him then they must have seen some potential in the young star for the future and he can stay at Madrid and gradually get that experience to play the madrista kinda of football. Real Madrid doesn't go for mediocre

But when it comes to Chelsea, of course this is a potential business for TOD, he will buy more players again maybe for this season, we know that his habit is always to collect a lot of players and resell them or even kill someone's career because they don't get playing time and most of the substitutes in his cage.

38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: June 13, 2024, 07:45:49 PM
Germany is notably a better team here to bet on than Scotland, but Scotland on their side isn't a team to let down too, as it has been a long time since both teams met, but despite the majority of people taking side on Germany to win, I don't think it will change the fact that they're in a better position to win this game because Germany has a good record over their opponent team Scotland and which they've met 17 times, where we have Germany won 8 out the 17 game, whereas Scotland is Four, so it is obvious that the Germany side got a good record against Scotland.
In that opening game on Friday evening between Germany vs Scotland it is conspicuous that everything points to the favor of Germany even if we have to remove the fact that they are the host country in this tournament. The Germany team regardless of their performances in the friendlies especially in their last game with Greece , they are better fit and in higher form than their opponent Scotland who have injury players at the moment with their midfielder Stuart Armstrong just returning from injury recently to join in training and have not played an active match since April. A lot of factors to consider here and not that am underrating Scotland in that game.

39  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: OPay's Gambling Promotion is Enabling Gambling Addiction on: June 13, 2024, 08:16:07 AM
Maybe I should remind you that Opay unlike the other commercial banks do have varieties of services you can use their platform for and one of such clearly indicated there is Betting , for funding of your fiat online gambling account, particularly for those that are gamblers and the process is seamless. Now, you don't find such option in commercial banks mobile apps which is why it shouldn't be surprising  seeing gambling ads been advertised in Opay platform. Am sure if commercial banks were allowed to have a space for betting service like the Fintechs they would have also had those gambling advert ads popping up too in their platform.

Apart from gambling ads, there are other useful adverts concerning investments and reward quiz  ads that also pops up in their platform, so it's just a function of the user's mindset on what they really want, you still ignore those gambling ads and go for the others that are useful to your person. These Fintechs offers a fast transaction service different from our usual commercial banks and you can't just delete the app because of one gambling ads. Like they say, "you don't throw the dirty water  away with the baby".
40  Economy / Speculation / Re: Some bad uses of bitcoin. :'( on: June 12, 2024, 08:04:38 PM
But in any case, I hope that slowly Bitcoin will be able to gain legality in all countries.
What are you hoping for?  After you have concluded that all manner of illegal business transactions including terrorism financial support are been undertaken through bitcoin network. This is not the first time am reading about people accusing bitcoin to be a currency that aid and abate illegalities due to its decentralized system and anonymity while they refuse to emphasize about the blockchain that is an open ledger for the public view whereas is not found with fiat transactions that corrupt banks managers starch, conceal, clean any trace. It should suffice you to know that fiat has the highest tone of money laundry cases and illegal business transactions to which bitcoin don't even come close.

A lot of countries that are against bitcoin, the reason isn't because of anything order than their inability to have a central control over the currency as they do with fiat.
