Belgium will have De Bruyne and Lukaku for this match and this Euro can be a last chance for these players belong to a golden generation of Belgium to find an international title. From what we saw last night in the England game they weren't like the 3 Lions that lose to score goals and 1nil win isn't suppose to be the scoreline of a team that have big names on their squad, the fans weren't pleased with what they saw, performance wasn't fun to watch. Is like a division 2 side was playing against Serbia.
That's by the way but my concern is Phil Foden who performed poorly, he is the EPL best player and we all saw what he did last season and he deserved it. Is it that he normally perform well when he's surrounded by the likes of Rodri, Bernardo Silva and KDB? Because to me I think he's overrated as a player, if he was playing for a club like Chelsea who was struggling I think he couldn't play out his best just like Palmer, from the way he performed I think he's nothing close to Saka who played better both in club and country.
What do you think with Foden's performance in the game last night? To me I feel he shouldn't have been introduced because that was an awful display last night.

Phil Foden being able to play better at the club is clearly easier because good cooperation has been built at City, whereas in the national team they will only get together when there is an event so that can affect unity. Is Foden overrated? perhaps, but Southgate certainly wouldn't put his name in without assessing his performances at the club.
And to be honest, only being able to win by a narrow score and that when the goal came in the first half was quite disappointing, I thought England would appear very aggressive and their attackers would be very effective in scoring goals but that didn't happen, and if coupled with the bad results in the friendly match it was clear they did not appear as many people predicted what they would achieve later.

I didn't expect Ukraine to win comfortably, but I didn't expect Romania to play so comfortably as well. Romania used their chances very well and didn't concede a goal against the strong Ukrainian forwards. After being winless in the last 2 tournaments, Romania managed to win in the Euros after a long time. Now things are complicated in this group, Ukraine has made its own job very difficult. If Belgium, which is currently behind, loses points to Slovakia, the balance will change dramatically. It will be a very different picture than expected.

II have to agree that Ukraine delivered a dreadful performance. Ukraine spent the entire game by passing the ball. Ukraine has no intention of scoring. It's surprising that Rumania crushed Ukraine with a clean sheet.

Lunin had a horrible performance in that game. I felt fine when Lunin missed Stanciu's shot. The second goal was entirely Lunin's fault because he was not ready to catch the low ball. The third goal happened coz ukraine's defenders were too lazy in blocking the free space for romania's attackers.

Only Vlahovic was "close" to draw the game but the difference between the 2 teams was to big.

Should have been an easy win, but you also know that a goal lead is not something to celebrate over till the game is over and I expected England to get more than one goal being that they have a lot of good players both on the bench and on the field but they just had to settle for that 13' goal from Jude Bellingham.
 The annoying part of yesterday's game was that Serbia weren't as challenging as they usually are yet England were content to play defensive football. I won't list England as a team that can pose a threat if we're mentioning teams that will prove difficult in this tournament because for me they are just a decorated set of players with little to nothing to show for it.

England showed ineffective football in their first match at the Euros. After Bellingham scored a goal, the team calmed down and did not build up the lead, although the English could have scored more. In the second half Serbia played much more interesting and they could have equalised, but Pickford did not allow them to do so. England need to change their game before they start playing with the tournament favourites.

You know, when this decorated teams get paired against stronger teams, you tend to see them struggling which is normal because both sides are fighting to dominate the other but against a side like Serbia, I expected Gareth's boys to do better considering they were able to open their goal account early in the game. Many English fans expressed their displeasure at the performance and even they went away with three points, more goals should have come out and the guys to enforce this were benched. The likes of Cole Palmer and even Jarrod was brought in late.
 Personally, I really don't pay much mind to England games because they are often boring and fall below expectations.

In the early minutes of the match Ukraine looked quite convincing with their quite good ball control. But it turned out that Romania was the one who launched the attack first and made Ukraine a little overwhelmed. Romania was very effective in taking advantage of the opportunities they managed to create. But their Ukrainians seem to have work to do in their midfield and attack.

Now I am also quite surprised about the Belgium vs Slovakia match. because Belgium was 1 goal behind. Slovakia managed to score an early goal in the 7th minute. And that was a bad sign for Belgium. but there is still the second half remaining where the result of the match can change quickly.

The first half favored Slovakia as they are one goal ahead of Belgium; they created more attempts both on goals and off target than the Belgium team, and the Slovakia’s players are not world class players, while the Belgium players are all world class players that have played in several big teams across Europe.

The second half might favor Belgium because losing their first match will not favor them in the competition, they need to win this match because they are my favorite teams in this competition.

the thing with this kind of tournament is that you don't allow your opponent to score first putting you at a serious disadvantage where you have to literally struggle to bounce back into the game and fight back for your stand. It's the only reason why England won yesterday match cause they scored first and regardless of the fact that they where the better team, they couldn't get a second
goal that would have cemented the win.

With the likes of KDB, lukaku and the magical doku on the front line, it would theoretically have been goals upon goals but you don't play against a team that sees itself as an underdog expecting to see easy result. Lukaku still playing below expectation and has continued to be very inconsistent with his quality of play while doku isn't doing as much magic as is expected of him. A lot of bad decision making from his end and I just hope the team would be able to bring in a totally different show in the second half of the play.

Ukraine Was defeated by Romania this is new, the first 30 minutes Romania were controlling the whole game from their I already noticed that their is no longer hope for Ukraine, nicolea scored the first goal and Dennis man give two assist and it was an e has 0 goals and two shots on target. And in possession Ukraine possessed Romania but still were unable to win. And Romanias player played with more focus compared to Ukraine especially Dragus scoring the third goal and you can not conclude that it was the best goal in Euro 2024 because their are still other games to be played and this are one of the reason why if you are placing bets you will be scared because of situations like this, you have faith in a club and the next thing you get from them is disappointment.
