what is the expected price at launch and two days after. Any guess?
I think in the long term 1000 sat is not impossible. It's a long shot but not impossible. Realistically, in the days/weeks following the launch, I think we should be very happy if we're able to maintain the value above 50 sat. That's taking into account dumping which will automatically ensue as soon as the price rises. But let's wait and see, we'll only have an idea of the number of weak hands in our midst once trading is live. That's pretty low, imho. Qora has 10 billion coins, Ora 50 million. For same capitalization it means 200x higher price. So about 4000 sat. => so I would expect a min of 1000 sat. to start with. If it's 50M coins, that means each person is getting around 60K each (at 811 stakeholders)? I admit I'm a bit confused, as I'm seeing different numbers being thrown around. 1000 as a starting point seems fair figuring in capitalization. 1000-4000 is very possible then. Although we need to keep in mind dumpers. Then again, NEM did quite well and seemed to avoid cheap dumps. Here is my Grand plan how to make ORA the best coin out there. And do that fast, cheap and with all the promised features. Add to that the fairest distribution we already have and you have a true winner. As a byproduct this also solves the question – ‘What to do with the remaining free stakes’ Use the code of Bitshares. Why? a. Technically –it has extremely fast block times -10-15 seconds. It has implemented security features (TITAN) in it already. In a month or so it will have exchange build on it. INHO it is the state of the art at this moment. So why not use the best available? b. It is free and available – saves both time and money in Ora development. c. There is certain negative PR in being a clone of somebody. BUT their (Bitshares) condition to not be a clone but kind of part of them is ‘The coin to distribute at least 10% to 2 categories they have determined as their core supporters. That is 20% total Ora has about 35.2% of free stakes available for distribution. So 20% can be used for that and there will still be about 15% left! IMHO it will be a great decision for Ora. And with its fair distribution model the sky is the limit. This is an interesting idea. Would love to hear more opinions on it.  I would welcome discussion on our forums: bitsharestalk.org Having only spent a couple minutes reading the OP it seems like there is more discussion on distribution than on what value the system will provide: 1) What new POS algorithm? 2) Why not DPOS? 3) What language? Based upon our experience you can expect at least 6 months to develop a basic system with a large team and funding. I would not recommend someone attempt that without really solid reasons. What goal are you trying to achieve that BitShares does not? , btw is the lead developer of Bitshares (and CEO, I think, of the company developing the Bitshares software.) |

sorry if this has been said before but I can not see in the front page..how many ora coins will be available in total? I know we are around 800 stakeholders, its to calculate how many coins are per stake
I second that question. I particular: -Any decision on the total (K) Ora supply. OP suggests 50 mil, is this still valid and is any decision been made? -About NXT AE stakes – are they gonna be NEM, style i.e. One stake representing a lot future coins and divisible in up to 10 parts, or it will reflect the actual # of future shares? - Voting on things is great. Voting on one and the same thing over and over is not likely to produce hugely different results. So, I or you not liking the result of the vote will not change it! Please just say you have decided to give the remaining stakes - 50% to current stake holders and the other 50% are kept and at a later point in time decision will be made on the best way to distribute them. |

It is supposedly anonymous. Make sure you back up your wallet from the menu once registered. Is it possible to import protoshares keys (from Februrary) before registering a name? I believe so. |

If you have to use somebody else’s code, which in itself is something I am not 100% sure you should do, why not use the best one available. As of today it seems to be Bitshares (i.e. DPOS). Just check and make your own decision, but this are my 2c.

Yes, it appears that block 1703 to 1746 do not have winning numbers. Some tickets seem to have been played for those blocks. |

yes Difficulty too high! It will adjust after the next block, whenever that happens. |

I do not think that just listing Teddycoin on more serious exchange like Bittrex will do much for the price.
Just buying it where it is listed now is a better tactic.
For just 0.01 BTC you can buy the equivalent of 5 of those 6000 coin free stakes.

I see so many complaints about how this altcoin or that altcoin is going to tank that I'd like to hear something positive. Are there any altcoins that actually look promising?
If you want to be safe follow those steps: 1st dig a hole in the ground. 2nd put all your money there. 3rd put the dirt you dug on top of them This way your money will be (fairly) safe! |
