21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with Bitcoin. on: February 12, 2024, 09:32:18 PM

So, after reading a thread and realizing that paying with Bitcoin would mean that you'd be paying with future returns, I went on to research the topic of paying for goods and services with Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is decentralized meaning that it can be transferred to anyone without the interference of intermediate/ central authorities. This also implies that buying goods and services would be faster and easier if more people owned and accepted Bitcoin. If Bitcoin was adopted and accepted as a means of exchange in many countries then there would be a huge improvement in various and global economies.
It'll enable more people to access financial services and knowledge, reduce the rate at which bank charges are being paid, values gotten by sellers will increase rapidly, anonymity and many others. Apart from the loss on the buyers's part, Bitcoin has lots of disadvantages which would be challenges and pose lots of unhealthy risks if adopted.

After doing my research, I came to realize that this may probably be influenced by personal choices. Because looking at it thoroughly, some people would pay for items using things like Gold, Land, and other assets. But in the eyes of a money literate, that may be totally wrong.
So, I would love to ask and get this confusion over with. Is it ok for you to purchase items with Bitcoin? If yes or no, please state your reasons so we can all learn from it.

Thank you
I'm not sure if I belong to the group that can afford to pay with Bitcoin yet because I am not consistently in the positive - to be able to use it right away. Although after today's price increase, it looks very impressive Smiley
My goal is to accumulate regularly in small amounts (DCA) and I plan to use Bitcoin for payments from 80k USD and above.

23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I lost my life savings trading Bitcoin Don't be like me. on: August 08, 2023, 09:05:28 AM
I don't know why am I am posting this here but I wanted someone to talk to. Since I can't talk about this to my family or friends because I am ashamed of myself. I am lazy piece of garbage who tried to make money the easy way, and get rich quick trading. I have failed my family and myself, I deserve everything that happened and will happen to me. It's time to take accountability for my actions. I think this will be my last message to the world, I am sorry

Hey, you lost some money, but you should not lose your life because of that. There is a lot worse things in the world. But I know how u feel. I lost my health condition when I was 13 years old, after failed surgery I'm disabled, I need wheelchair. No chance to walk again. First months, resp., 2 years, I was totally depressed. But I found a sport, and this move was the starter to my happiness. You just need to restart ur brain and learn from ur mistake.
All good to you mate, especially health!
Fingers crossed, and I will be happy, that u will send a message after one year that u are on the right way Smiley

Hello...
I hope, that I will found someone who wants to buy it. O:)
27  Economy / Goods / Selling Handbike on: June 24, 2023, 09:21:22 PM
Hello, I want to sell my handbike. I bought it like 2 years ago from second hand for 5 400 € (First owner paid 6 800€ (ONLY FOR BIKE,  not wheelchair). It’s specialized bike for disabled people like me. I can’t move with legs, so every move on this bike is thanks to hands – thats why it’s called handbike. Cheesy
I was excited to buy this handbike since I couldn’t walk anymore because of Scoliosis and surgery failure when doctor interrupted my spinal cord. But now, anyway, I need to accept my health status and definitly can’t use it anymore, because I’ve got this year accident in gym and I broke my leg :/ I’ve got surgery because of that and actually this problem make me unable to use it like before. :/ Yes, someone can ask why leg problem make me unable to use bike when I need use only hands. But its more complicated, because of spasms etc. And while I’m using it, I don‘t feel so comfortable..
I have now  other planes and goals how to improve my health condition and thats why I want to sell it for atleast 4 900 € included wheelchair  - can be paid in BTC of course.

I’m from Slovakia, so would be perfect if buyer would be close.

First Owner wasn’t using it a lot because of health problems, and I drove only 100km cca, so it’s like a brand new.

If there is a chance to find a new WHEELBOY / WHEELGIRL user to make him happy, I can accept little bit lower price, but of course, this handbike can be used by healthy people. If someone want to get stronger in arms.

Thank you for the opportunity to advertise

I was trying to add video, but I couldn't, so if someone want to see it I can send it on Instagram for example, in my profile.

29  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How do I secure my wallet on: June 11, 2023, 01:01:28 PM
It has been some months that I have been in this forum, I have started making arrangements for transacting with Bitcoin in the aspect of buying and storing. I don't have much knowledge of wallet to the extent of knowing a preferable wallet to use for storing my Bitcoin, right now I know that Bitcoin is a valuable asset from my understanding but other people doesn't accept the fact that it is really an asset, so I want to know a good wallet to use for my Bitcoin because I notice that some wallet my friends recommend to me are all exchange kind of wallet and I was told that it's not proper to use an exchange wallet for storing or saving of Bitcoin for a long time. I wish to have more recommendation or articles to read concerning wallets and it's security values but during my research I was recommended to use electrum wallet but I was confused if electrum wallet is an exchange or a custodial wallet, therefore i need a good direction, clarification and update of suitable wallet from senior colleagues.

Trezor, dont forget to use passphrase and save ur seed safely. I reccomended it to you

33  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you have some big fears? on: May 26, 2023, 12:22:29 AM
I think my biggest fear is of spiders. I am very terrified of spiders because of their eight legs and eyes. Spiders also have fangs that allow them to spit out silk to create webs to trap different types of flying insects to kill them and eat them.

Now spiders are also able to lay their eggs on the webs they create around cold, dark, and dusty spaces. For example, behind furniture, underneath your bed or set of stairs, closets, and sometimes inside cabinets. That is why it is very important that your constantly clean your house to ensure spiders don’t invade or home.

I do not kill spiders when they are inside my house despite how scared I am of them. What I recommend is to set some traps around your house, this way you can catch them safely and take them to a pet store or try to release them to the wild.

So what about your biggest fears?
waaah, of course spiders.. I dont kill them also. But only because I'm so scared of them Cheesy I trained my GF for this, she is doin it for me.. Thats a true love <3 Cheesy

When I see a spider, my heart can skip the bum bum you know... Cheesy
34  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you handle pain? on: May 26, 2023, 12:09:55 AM
I am one of many who seems to have chronic pain. I refuse to take painkillers because of what they can do to my body.
I am basically stuck using ice and heat. I don't have a bathtub so I don't have the option to use things like Epsom salt.
My pain is in my lower back, shoulders, and neck.

What do you do to handle pain?

I have also a lot of pain in my back (I have scoliosis, and actually I'm on wheelchair since 2006 after surgery's fail) Since I started to work in gym, I feel more comfortable and with less pain.. Thats my tip.. But chronical pain is probably something different. So sorry for u, but I wish u all the best! especially health, thats the most important thing Smiley
35  Other / Off-topic / Re: Nobody is ugly on: May 26, 2023, 12:00:41 AM
People intend to use the word "ugly" alot and fail to realise nobody is ugly ,A parent cannot reject their all because people claims the child is ugly rather they will love the child regardly of what people think.
I often said it that no woman is ugly ,the real beauty of a woman unveils when money is spent her ,So as a man take yours and create the beauty you so desire by spending on her. Those beautiful ladies you see were inspired by someone's money to transform her.
Likewise yourself, you are not ugly ,the moment you start to see yourself as beautiful and as relevant enough then you can control others opinion about you, think less what they say about you, spent money on yourself to look good then people will be surprised at how you tranformed for good.
Command some respect and values to yourself.
A lot of people told me, that I'm ugly... and some people told my I'm beauty... for example, my mom... and should I believe to my mom? Or a stranger? OF COURSE that to mom... O:) I'm beauty.. Cheesy
36  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Do you do in your free time? on: May 25, 2023, 11:53:42 PM
Many are always busy with different kind of life activities. Maybe with work, studies or other things. But we do have free times once in a while.
What do you do the entertain your self when you are free?
For me, I play games on my phone. I love two dots and at times, I play soccer games.
What do you do when you are free?
I like fitness, gym.. workin on my body, because it gives me a good feel / stronger muscles for my disability and then i have less pain. And also I like PC games, like League of Legends, resp., Teamfight Tactics Cheesy and when I'm totally bored, i play snake on mobile (for some sats through LN)
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My mistake was making my involvement with Bitcoin public on: May 25, 2023, 10:08:00 PM
There is always a man in the family who believe they are the smartest, I have an uncle who is currently the most successful one in the family, maybe that's why he is behaving this way, he knew my involvement with crypto and Bitcoin, and after the crash into bear market he called me and said ..

Are you still into Bitcoin? You need to find something else to do, Bitcoin will fail soon because there is nothing that can take away the money printing machines, the government will keep printing money because they like been the printer, they can't print Bitcoin that's why it will fail, stop living a dream and do something good with your life before it's too late.

At first I got angry, because he always believe he knows the best for everyone, and I am different, I am not like my brothers that fall before his kneels every time. I replied him with this.

Why are you so into what I am doing? Why did you take this so serious than anything else? You have never showed concern about me, I have never asked you for help and you fulfill it, if Bitcoin fails it's fine for me, and Bitcoin was never created to kill Fiat in the first place, it was created to support people like me, because no one wants to support people like us but they want to pretend they do.. Fiat is Centralized and Bitcoin is Decentralized, it's for the people and the community, it's freedom and a perfect home 🏠. I can't hate something that have helps me so many times uncle.

Have I said something too harsh? He took this personal and report me to my eldest brother, my brother said I shouldn't mind, he doesn't know that my brother is now also a Bitcoin investor, my mistake was making it public, which my brother never did.

If you are still planning to get into Bitcoin, don't post anything about it in family group chat or on your WhatsApp status, this was my biggest mistake.

I know how you feel perfectly. I said it this to much people that I'm in Bitcoin, some of them was good with that, some of them was wanted hear more informations about it and some of them (low %) are in bitcoin also now. BUT one friend is so FKKKKIN disgusting with his trash talk about it, he absolutly doesn't know about Bitcoin, nothing... He doesn't want to learn something about it but he is still criticizing. Some people have their truth about things and we need to let them... We just can hope, that we are on the right side... and after few years will be perfectly sounds "I told you so....Smiley"
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: May 22, 2023, 10:30:23 AM
Thats a huge average mate , 40k per transaction damn so yeah there is no sense in Using Lightning Network then .

but  people like me and for those who had been transacting cheap daily then this is truly useful.

I watched CoinMarketCap, i lied, my average buy price is 34k, anyway still high. I'm one of the FOMO guys, who bought for 3k euros (my money saved for long time) at 53k + Cheesy But actually I'm DCA. And I'm closing the gap between first buy.
And I hope, atleast 6 months I can DCA in this price. Please, BTC GOD, give me a little bit time.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: May 22, 2023, 01:07:10 AM
I tried to Pay with BTC (lightning network) only once for testing it. Because I have average buy like 40k USD. So there is no sense for me for now.
But i think, its really important to test it atleast. So I’m excited for times, when BTC price will be 60k +. Then I’ll buy Pizza with BTC (atleast 22 may)
