the snapshot should have been taken at the moment the fork was ready to go live.
when all the coding is done, snapshot the addresses again and let all the dihonest ppl out.
I think it's pretty likely to happen as there was an issue with incorrect balances for some addresses. snaidervp, quite right. Queeq, the same 3 problem addresses. Fixed them all, except one individual...lol, @ 00:01 9/9/14 someone decided to send their coins to polo....likely to offload what they had bought up. Snapshot accuracy was confirmed later around 04:00 9/9/14. What do i do with this person? Do i allocate them their balance @ 00:00 or their actual snapshot balance? Thanks. From the neutral, simply switching standpoint that's nothing wrong with such behavior (dump once coin is abandoned by the original dev). From the more humanistic standpoint I'd allocate the balance after dump. Though it would contradict the initial announcement which is bad in general, so it must be more correct to stick to original plan. That would be me. You guys can blame me. But if the dev told me "Do not move your NRS after confirmation" or "Do not sell your NRS after snapshot", I would not move my coins to polo. I just trusted barwizi's plan (snapshot at 0:00 9/9/14) and followed market mechanism as I did with PTS. I'm just curious why snapshot is taken at different time from original announcement... Snapshot wasn't taken at a different time, IMO you jumped the gun a bit. ten minutes wait would have resulted in your balance showing properly. There is always variance in time , few seconds here, few minutes there. I will fix your balance, but i think you could have been a lot more cautious, and noone ( at least i dont) blame you for what you did. I really appreciate it barwizi. I will be more cautious next time |

Yes i will, but even in the folder you can find the test list it includes most of the corrected balances, only a few more to go, from people who submitted incomplete information

yes, that is correct. multipool left the diffculty really high, noone has soloed a block since. The scripts are starting up now. should take an hour since they will first re-download the chain, make databases and produce a csv file. I would advise against staking or trying to move anything now. So after the snapshot, (1) all NRS and NRB holders (if they hold in local wallet) will get new NRS based on snapshot, right?
And (2) previous NRS and NRB will be useless after the snapshot.
If I'm wrong, please let me know.

NRS \ NRS / NRB So basically, your NRS and NRB are going to be combined into one NRS chain. The snapshot is just a representation of the chain's state at a given time reflecting your balances. Im sorry i dont have twitter, but i read some of his tweets now, and he seems like an ignorant fool. There is no reason why mintpal v2 wouldnt add us.. active community active development. All he wants is that some shit coins make it to mintpal v2 so he can pump and dump. He is a forprofit guy who only cares about raping coins. So in a way we should also be glad that he is saying bad words about karma, that way we wont become a pump and dump, not that that would even be possible with our infrastructure. But it is important to fight this FUD ofcourse  remember. while it is obvious that the person is a troll he could do PR damaging to us. Especially since mintpal will probably bring Fiat to ___coins option. Thats right. We could have "Buy with karmacoin" one-click away options as soon as mintpal opens up their fiat services. I think Karma will be removed from Mintpal v2 Bitcoin market unless Karma is trading at above 1 Satoshi before they make the final listing. Being delisted is a major blow, especially when it isn't requested. When prices go down concentration of holders generally goes up. I completely disagree with people saying price doesn't matter. Agreed. Price really matters. Increasing price attracts people, encourages more activities, and then increases the value consequently. Price is also reflection of the value. I think now the Karma value is higher than the price, but if the price remains at the bottom, it pull down the value. So we should be hurry up. Cryptoworld is so fast and changing. BitUSD from Bitshares X is already looking at micro payment, as we do. Doge is trying to revive, with Dogeparty. We will someday have KarmX, but when? |
