22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2024 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: February 17, 2024, 08:53:10 PM

Good day, what from FORMULA 1 is subject to be predicted?
Because Verstappen wins every time, at least last year.

Yes you are right. Verstappen won nearly every race last season. I'm also going to join the pool this season. The point scoring system is like below.

Seems a nice challenge!
Prediction from lower places is never easy, where a prediction can still bring more challenging points.
I try to take part and make a participation pay soon.  Smiley

The Formula 1 2024 season is officially starting this weekend in Bahrain.Formula 1's popularity has increased unbelievably much in the recent years. I quite enjoyed the pool of the previous season. I hope that we have a much more entertaining pool this year. We are going to use Superbru again this year. However I'm open for other suggestions as well if there is any.

As being the sponsor of the pools on the forum, Sportsbet.io and Steve have always supported the members here. And they didn't leave us alone here this year too and indicated that they were going to sponsor this pool also. The only thing remaining is to see whether we will see the interest we hope in this pool.

Fellas the entry fee for the pool is going to be 2 mbtc this year.

Payment address(Cro2 team are managing the escrow address)

I'd be happy if the people who make payments send their tx addresses and superbru usernames via PM to me.

You can make the payments for the pool until March 1.

24  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who is top bitcoin competitor? on: February 17, 2024, 02:00:17 PM
I tend to see USDT as a trade facilitator rather than an actual currency in that its sole purpose seems to be to enable people to trade Crypto at $ cost without using Fiat.
Sure, USDT is a big competitor for Bitcoin because it's less volatile.
But Ethereum is a bigger competitor because Ethereum is on position number 2, directly behind Bitcoin and Ethereum is a more modern coin. Ethereum can do Defi and NFT while Bitcoin is more a pay coin.
More industries will benefit from Ethereum, making it more requested and more demand means higher price, where Ethereum can challenge Bitcoin better.

Top Bitcoin competitor is clearly Ethereum.
25  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who is top bitcoin competitor? on: February 02, 2024, 10:41:17 AM
Top Bitcoin competitor is Ethereum because of many reasons:

Best reason is Ethereum's second rank on CoinGecko, where only Bitcoin has a better place, place one. From all crypto currencies, Ethereum is closest to Bitcoin to possibly overtake Bitcoin, while not likely, of course.
Experts always recommend Ethereum as second choice after Bitcoin.
Ethereum has a long history of competition against Bitcoin.

Bitcoin needs to be aware about Ethereum to get not overtaken but I don't see a big danger for Bitcoin to be overtaken by Ethereum generally.
If you only use "marketcap" or "second rank" as your reasons, it means Ethereum can't be Bitcoin's competitors.
Because I have used "marketcap" and "second rank" as my reasons, Ethereum is very cleary Bitcoin's competitor. Because no coin comes as close to Bitcoin as ETH. ETH is second place currently.
Ethereum is Bitcoin’s biggest competitor.

I can also say USDT is the Bitcoin competitor because the trading volume is higher than Bitcoin if we talks about statistic.
But USDT is not a big competitor for Bitcoin currently. It's only position 3 currently.
Yes, it can get a big competitor of Bitcoin but only if it can gain places and overtakes BNB and Ethereum, what will be really hard to do for USDT.
And trading volume is pretty meaningless because it doesn't determine official ranks on CoinGecko.

27  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: January 27, 2024, 03:09:54 PM
Another thing to have in consideration is the effect of this same buying and selling, when we hodl the coin without releasing them and this affects the market price, the  network itself will got to a stage or releasing more Bitcoin after halving to the market which will also make the balance between the supply and the demands rate for sufficient circulation until the entire coin is been mined and with this we keep seeing different market prices.
Yes, we can also consider lost Bitcoin to be a big factor because experts are estimating at least 2.5 million of Bitcoin to be lost. It is difficult to predict any amount of lost Bitcoin but we have Satoshi's coins, we have so many stories from early Bitcoin people who have lost access to private key or are searching private keys in waste disposal areas like someone from England. He's searching his private key in a waste disposal factory.
Much Bitcoin is lost.

And it will only increase. Maybe not big amounts anymore but it can happen very fast to lose access to our coins.
Or when more people will have Bitcoin and send it, a small amount might be left at an address or forgotten, it can always happen.
Storing our private key safe is still very difficult because it happens frequently for people to lose it.

Lost Bitcoin will only increase and will reduce all circulating Bitcoin.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where may we likely see BTC post halving? on: January 27, 2024, 02:59:27 PM
Halving is always a big event because it is only every 4 years.
I'm not a financial expert but Bitcoin buyers are likely to want getting more coins until it happens to be prepared for a new bullish trend.

At least, a chance for considerable FUD will be very low during halving.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why is it Bitcoin and Lambo? And not Ferrari for example? on: January 27, 2024, 01:29:18 PM
"When Lambo" – it's a famous slogan in support of Bitcoin to reach a new record price. In phases of newly aquired Bitcoin or even doubt in Bitcoin "when Lambo" gets a spectacular outview how rich someone can get by Bitcoin – to buy a Lambo.
A Lambo is a very expencive car, where many coin is necessary for a buy.

Big detection here: It’s always Bitcoin and Lambo.
Not Ferrari
Not Maserati
Not Porsche

All are very expencive and fast cars, where only a rich Bitcoin gain can purchaise such a car.

Why always Lambo and Bitcoin?
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in 2024; What are your opinions? on: January 21, 2024, 04:33:35 PM
Bitcoin in 2024 will be bullish and probably continue where it left last year.
For new investments, Bitcoin will be eligible because Gary Gensler just created a new market for Bitcoin. Bitcoin can now get bought directly from Wall Street.

Overally we have much many positive news for Bitcoin and bulls can have an extended run.

To be safe, we need to make sure as well:
Call a hunter when you see a bear!

31  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for January on: January 19, 2024, 01:18:03 PM
It's bull market but Bitcoin can't afford to drop more.
Because if it drops more, bears will come out again and bears can become very dangerous.
Bitcoin just needs a stable gain now and bears will be frightened again and won't attack.
32  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Most safe wallet for mobile wallet on: January 14, 2024, 02:48:58 PM
What's your recommendation mobile wallet and do you have one?
I have already mentioned my go-to mobile wallets in my previous posts.
Okay, for now I will store my Bitcoin offline and look later into a mobile wallet if I have no different choice for send.

Do note that while TOR is associated as a way to browse what you are envisioning as "Dark Net", TOR also allows you to explore websites like any other browser with the added benefit of the TOR Network (and other nuances that come with the browser). If using TOR were that illegal why would services such as ProtonMail[1] and Facebook[2] have onion addresses? What about news outlets such as The Guardian[3] and BBC News[4]?
For ProtonMail and FaceBook I don’t know but your News Websites are probably set up for Dissidents to be accessible.
I do not deny DarkNet can be helpful in dictatorships – like IRAN.

I highly recommend that you read more about TOR and how it works in these[5][6] nicely written articles. In its essence, TOR aims to provide what most people have forgotten / stopped caring long ago - Privacy.
I can understand your effort to paint DarkNet from its positive side but I really try to protect my device from malware and hacker.

I am not an Bitcoin expert and don't visit DarkNet because of illigal items and hackers.
Regular clearnet internet has no such things, but just for safety it's safer for you not to go out of your home at all...
What an inappropriate comment. It's same like people driving broken cars at 150 km/h or climbing tall buildings.  Cheesy

No, I don't want to really store it on a mobile device.
Just in case I need a send by a low amount.
Than I really don't understand why are you asking for ''most safe'' mobile wallet.
Because even losing low amounts is not nice.
We need to protect our Bitcoins.
33  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Most safe wallet for mobile wallet on: January 09, 2024, 10:05:45 AM
Is Electrum really a spy wallet? It seemed to be very famous from my previous research?
Electrum is an SPV client where you connect to a server (randomly or manually) operated by someone. Anyone could run such a server. You, me, an honest party, a government agency, blockchain analysis, etc. When you connect to a server, it receives certain data from you. That includes your IP address, all wallet addresses, and the balance you have in your wallet. Such information can be used to track you in an attempt to identify who you are.
How long is certein data stored at such servers?
Is blue wallet not sending certein data to a shady server?

For ultimate privacy, you should run your own node and use TOR and not connect to a 3rd-party one.

Are you sure OP that you'd like to keep your Bitcoins on a mobile wallet?

34  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Bear Market over? on: January 09, 2024, 09:58:58 AM
Yes!
Bear market is over!
Next, we need to know what comes next and it can be slow profits for Bitcoin but also quick profits.
Best case scenario for Bitcoin is moon.
We don't know when but it's probably already soon!
35  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Most safe wallet for mobile wallet on: January 06, 2024, 04:14:45 PM
Hello, I will check out all your recommendations. Smiley

Just make sure you don't use Samourai Wallet, their app spies on all of your past and future Bitcoin transactions and sends it to their server.
I will avoid Samourai spy wallet.

So does Electrum, with the difference that there isn't a central server, but a long list of community-operated nodes. But those nodes can be run by harmless private entities or subjects with other motives, willing to spy on you and find out as much about you as possible.

36  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Most safe wallet for mobile wallet on: January 02, 2024, 04:12:19 PM
I know, it's not recommended to store many Coins on a mobile wallet but when it's a low amount, what wallet is most safe for mobile wallet?

No requirement to store Altcoin, Bitcoin is enough.
