i downloaded the btcd wallet from the main ANN page 1 for windows and the SHA-1 Hash is different, i got
A5C13C0234302DBEA78065EA166E69725A6F997A

this is different than what is listed on page 1.

i used http://onlinemd5.com/ to get the SHA-1 hash.

where do i download the btcd wallet from?
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GEO] GeoCoin | GIS & GeoTechnologies on: April 23, 2015, 07:16:54 PM
The lack of coins dropped in the US shows how little penetration it has in the market so far. This is one of the coolest crypto projects around and near the investment ground floor. You should be thanking whoever drove the price down, great time to acquire GEO imo.

Just wait until the team starts pushing this to the real world. I think it will get very interesting.

That's what I'm counting on  Grin
Looks like some nice improvements to come! Should be very interesting indeed

You have private information as a part of the Slack testing group...  Grin Grin Grin

What android app does one use to collect the geocoins?  I dropped ten in my area in TN to do a test.

i had the db error thing pop up on my wallet after restarting the client. I first did repairwallet through the console window, it did indeed find a spent coin mismatch, then I shut down balls client and restarted using -rescan as a flag in the shortcut. the error returned so i deleted debug.log and db.log restarted with the -rescan flag via shortcut and then the message went away along with the checkpoint error. so far been 30min no issues.

Thanks for the post, deleting the debug.log and the db.log in the %appdata% snowballs folder then restarting the wallet with the -rescan switch in the shortcut worked for me too.   Kudos Smiley

Have you asked bitember where your coins are? The blockchain was only restarted, so once they have updated their wallet you should be able to get your coins, unless of course then mined the old block chain.

It's not the fault of the Ruby devs if a pool doesn't update their wallet. How many were you expecting?

thanks for the response, i went into pool chat and kazooka made it good.  however, if the pool doesnt fix the wallet, no one will be able to get their coins out.  as for me, there are other profitable coins to mine, so for now, i am done with rubycoin, but may change my mind later.

just a note to dev's and pools, the miners are the ones providing the support for the blockchain and its transactions, if you screw over the miners, you have no support for the blockchain.  thanks to kazooka for making my mining effort cured.

the Bitember mining pool is down and lost all my mining work, couldn't establish a wallet address with the exchanges because the blockchain was messed up and dev's took so long.

Now all my coins that were mined are gone, bunch of thieves imo, and how convenient, when the blockchain is back up and now it is POW, how convenient the mining pool goes down and everyone who couldnt get their coins to the exchanges just lost all their work.

Thieves, Thieves, Thieves!

When is the whitepaper coming?

Damn. Bob buys bitswift. I knew it would pay out when I made this account. I now officially have the coolest name in the hottest coincept to come.

And it's "whitepapers" like in "We have many whitepapers that need to get out.".

BitSwifter, please have whitepapers translated into chinese and have available on website and post on this thread,

I like the look of this one and have invested some precious BTC. The most appealing element for me is the emphasis on usability and speed vs. empty ideals like anon, etc. This coin looks practical and useable which is rare. As much as peeps are wary of ICO/IPO's I think its really the only way to go and build a solid and scarce coin these days. With mining getting consolidated to the biggest hashers, I'm glad I don't have to compete with a giant mining farm to grab some coins quickly with my now measly machines. If the devs continue to be heavily involved and present and stick with the mission of this coin, I feel like it has great potential. As always there's no way to know for sure, but all signs point to a winner for me at this point (and I've been mining and trading for quite some time). I also have been avoiding coins with either too many coins or too few and I think the 4mil cap is perfectly in that goldilocks zone.

Wow, I just looked at the ICO and it appears possibly sold out already? Impressive if thats the case.

Wholeheartedly Agree! Good Luck to All.

The amount of ICO's that selloff after trading begins anchors my skepticism about buying in now. I'll wait until I can eat @ a lower price  Grin

Good Luck to you on that!  ICO will be sold out within two hours, so let the games begin.

I can not get a wallet to sync. ? suggestions??
[/quote]

it is best to use notepad++ or you can use notepad and paste this

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=localhost
daemon=1
server=1
maxconnections=100
gen=0
rpcport=17331
port=7331
testnet=0
listen=1
addnode=207.29.218.6
addnode=207.29.221.125

save it as instantcoin.conf  not txt
place it in the instantcoin folder in your application data folder
should sync straight away  Wink

[/quote]
Additional information:

Getting your wallet to work correctly:

you must store your instant.conf file you created in your %appdata% instant folder
when using windows file explorer it is typically under
your C:\Users\(your windows logon name)\AppData\Roaming directory
under that subdirectory you will find the instantcoin directory
copy your newly created instant.conf file to that directory and reload your wallet.

make sure your instant.conf file is not a text file when saving it. (do not use a capital I for instant, use all lower case.
in windows file explorer when saving the .conf file
change your "save as type" box to "all types *.* " when saving your instant.conf file
this will save it in the format your wallet is looking for.

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XanonCoin | XAN | ANON | NO Premine on: August 19, 2014, 05:23:27 AM
Coin with good potential, sad.  Huh

If you have your xanon coins at bittrex, you need to download the xanon wallet from the first page.  Next build a xanon.conf file using notepad or notepad++ with the following information in the .conf file.

server=1
listen=1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcport=35231
addnode=192.99.167.159:35232
addnode=82.139.116.38:35232
addnode=188.226.227.187:35232

store your newly created xanon.conf file int the xanon folder using this command.  %appdata%

then run the wallet.

then transfer your coins from bittrex to your wallet.
