It's time for trackcoins to buy buy buy!

Reason for dump is Dev team not on boost but on slack.

We can't start developing until you come join us on slack, without your infinite wisdom to guide us it would be a waste of time for us to even try develop anything.

why not walk the talk and talk the walk.

You first oh wise one, show us the way.

Does someone of developers considered possibility to add Gulden on Poloniex exchange? Bittrex is good but not enough for boost...

This is something that the Poloniex developers would have to consider, it is not something that the Gulden developers have any control over.

Funding now past 90%, a huge thank you to all those who have participated, very excited for the development we will be doing.

When is the Prime Project being released?

I would wait until after bitcoin halving to give update on Prime. Any update at this juncture won't get noticed. Have patience, bring out the wallet update because no one cares about wallets but Prime after halving will have massive impact.

Don't agree with you on the wallet updates.

Depends on who he means by 'no one' - if he is talking only about short sighted traders then probably there is some truth to the statement.

On the other hand when it comes to real world users, outside of the current tiny crypto circle, I'd wager that the wallets (the product they actually see and use) is pretty much all they care about, while prime will be beneficial for these people as well none of them are going to even know it exists - because regular folk don't care about all the geeky stuff that happens on the inside. So when you talk about these people (who are a far larger portion of the world than a few crypto traders) I'd say it's actually the opposite, none of them care about Prime but they all care about the wallet.

That said both are extremely important to us the dev team.

MaNI can you make a $ total for your work? This will make life less volatile for the funding. My guess is funding will dry up completely with bitcoin at these prices.

The adjustments to the site should satisfy your concerns here I hope.

Before I made this post I wanted to be certain on my findings. Gulden is being priced between priced in USD range of 575 to 675000. There is traders executing sales or buys whenever these boundaries are breached. There is a group that wants to keep the value at this level. BTC goes higher I expect Gulden to drop lower. BTC drops I expect Gulden satoshi price to increase.

Why the price manipulation?  Let the market determine the value of Guldencoin and you will attract new investors and hasten innovation and adoption.

Assuming there is manipulation - which is quite possible but not something we can prove 100% beyond a doubt - it definitely is not the dev team doing it, so it is out of our hands...
Unfortunately for small free markets price manipulation is part of the market (even large markets are sometimes manipulated to varying degrees) - there is nothing we can do to stop such manipulation other than putting our heads down and growing the coin to the point where the market is so large that it is no longer as easy to manipulate.

MaNI is this your going price for the hours? Did you speak to Jared about this, 50 btc is a drop in the ocean for the digibyte community.
It is my special discounted going price for a specific amount of hours that I have been willing to allow for the Gulden project, a project which I am very interested to work on and see succeed, some might call it a 'pet' project I guess.
I do not work only for money but for other reasons as well, and I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in Digibyte or any other crypto currencies.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re:                              Gulden NLG                        shares.gulden.com on: June 10, 2016, 07:41:02 AM
A question about the funding...
Will MaNI only be working the extra hours when the day countdown is finished or when the funding reaches progress points?

From my understanding of the comments he has other contract work to finish and wouldn't be able to start doing the extra hours even if all 50 btc was given tomorrow?

The answer lies somewhere in the middle - if it were to fund immediately I would be able to work quite a lot of the extra hours immediately while it would take some time (a month or two) to gradually ramp up to 100% of the full hours from the funding.
Likewise if the funding takes the full time allocation to fund I probably would not start immediately on the full hours either but would transition to them.
At the same time as we are already heading to the 7h/w mark - I will already start trying to transition towards that (I won't wait until the end of the funding to do so)

So in short - the world will not end if we don't complete the funding today, any funds paid are already seeing benefit for the project. However at the same time if you are planning to buy, sooner is always better, if we did suddenly get the full funding today or a large boost in the funding today it would be a good thing for the project and ultimately would lead me to working more hours sooner.

Hope that answers the question.

What is the catch with this coin?

http://coinmarketcap.com/

Ranked 77 with value of $637 480 but when looking at other coins they have nothing but over $1 million. Is it because the coin is scrypt based and Multipools keep dumping? What if you were to change off scrypt ?

Nothing to do with the mining algo. Just no lies or market manipulation, those other coins you are talking about usually have elements of both.
Here we are focused on long term proper honest coin development, and in the long term it is going to show, this is far more important than a temporarily bloated market cap.

Is Prime the project you working on MaNI? Would like to hear the details.

Hi, I am working on multiple projects, prime is one of them, the roadmap should give you more info.
I won't be able to discuss prime in more detail until we are closer to release, however there should be some info out there already in the community about the basics of what it involves.

I noticed the official forum is still down?

It should be fixed now.

Working for me - do a 'deep refresh' (ctrl + shift + r) if you are still having issues.

How to do a deep refresh on Android? Does anyone know that?

Maybe: ...settings>Manage Applications>All>hit Browser>clear cache?

Tried that already gonna have a look when I have some more time Grin

Apparently entering 'javascript:location.reload(true)' in the URL bar can do it, haven't tried it myself - not super user friendly.

IBAN transfers in mobile wallets ? No alt I know has this, when is this feature going live ?
Android support for it is already there for beta users, iOS version is in final testing which will be finalised this weekend.
Then it is just a matter of releasing to the public which I believe takes about a week or so usually - so roughly a week...

Does this mean transfer into any European bank accounts using Gulden ?
Nocks can probably give a more exact answer here as this side of things is controlled by their API and not the apps, but my understanding is that it supports Netherlands only banks for now, but that support for other European banks is likely to follow soon.

Was there a $ amount discussed for the funding ? Btc price can fluctuate and you will find 50 btc could end up being too little or too much.
Example: BTC doubles in value does the hours go to 6000? BTC price halves does the hours go to 1500?

Hi, for BTC already paid that BTC ultimately needs to be converted to ZAR (even if it were in dollars), the conversion risk would fall on me i.e. if ZAR weakens by 10% between 'quoting' and 'converting' then I get 10% more money and am very happy if ZAR strengthens by 10% I get less money though I would have already factored this in as a risk. About 80% of my business comes from overseas so I'm used to dealing with these sort of things, it is part of the cost of doing business, to give an example at the start of December 20k Euro was worth ZAR300000, by end December it was worth ZAR360000 (With most of that change taking place over 2 single days) and currently it is now at ZAR348000.
So even if we were to make it a Euro or dollar amount the same 'risk' would still be present to some extent.

For BTC remaining, in the event of a drastic enough raise or increase we would likely adjust the remaining BTC amounts to reflect that (after taking into account what has already been paid). If it helps you can work on a rate of 10 BTC = ZAR 70000 - if there is more than a 30% deviation from that which lasts more than a day or two we would probably adjust.

I am not convinced your team can complete the roadmap presented in 2016. Lets look at some facts here, 2 projects released in 5 months and you expect to do another 6 in 7 months? Not going to happen and I will bet 50 000 NLG on it.

With respect I don't think you have the information required to even begin to make a wild guess at how long it will take to do any of the projects involved.

Programming projects progress in man hours, they are not all equal, just because a specific project took '3 months' does not then mean that every project must now take 3 months. How many man hours is project Q going to take in relation to initial iOS or Android implementations? How can you possibly even pretend to know the answer to that if you don't even know what Project Q is so even if you had the development knowledge necessary to gauge such things you wouldn't be able too. Could it be that maybe Android and iOS combined are actually bigger projects in terms of man hours than most of the other projects combined?
The truth is as an external observer you have absolutely no idea, only those immediately involved in the development process can know this.

How many man hours did I put into iOS or Android? Was I working on them non stop for 3 months each? Or was I working on them only after hours? 4 hours a day or 1 hour a day? Or maybe I was working on them only on weekends? Maybe only on alternate weekends?
Maybe I didn't work on them at all for 2 months and then did all the work in 2 weeks?
The truth is as an external observer you have absolutely no idea, only those immediately involved in the development process can know this.

How was my availability at the start of the year? Was I maybe preoccupied with a once off life event like a wedding, something that my wife and I have been waiting 11 years to have? Could I maybe have more hours available in the latter half of the year in which I don't have any such events? Are there maybe other factors that affect man hours that are/aren't available for certain projects?
Could it be that maybe I have double or triple the amount of hours available in the second half of the ear that I did in the first half of the year?
The truth is as an external observer you have absolutely no idea, only those immediately involved in the development process can know this.

So certainly you are entitled to your opinion and can believe whatever you want to, you are welcome to your scepticism, but I myself don't think you have enough information to be saying anything at all about the matter with any conviction and that an opinion that is not based on fact is not one to which I personally would give much weight.
I think the developers - who are actually involved in the process and therefore have the necessary knowledge required to make such calls are in a better position to give a roadmap (which by the way - a roadmap is meant to represent goals and not strict deadlines) than anyone else.

How is Gulden being received by the general population in the Netherlands?

0.00002% of the Netherlands know about Gulden as a digital currency. Growth will come with time as more people are made aware of Gulden but there is users that post here from all over Europe and US.

Where did you derived that number from if I might ask?

Anyways, in my experience, Gulden is received with a smile. Mostly such conversations are started with Bitcoin, since that's an entity most have heard of; but when I tell them that there is so much more, I tell them of Gulden as well. Guldens were our nations currency before the euro, so when I tell people about it how it still exist, I always see a little sparkling. But that's probably due to my generation and the generation I am conversing with on such occasions Cheesy   At least from some I know whom I have spoken to have been purchasing Guldens, and a few have even started mining them...  Smiley

I am looking for a good coin that isn't popular, if it's popular already it's not a good investment. My aim is to hold a currency where the purchasing power increases over time, with fiat the value of your money decreases with time and the stock markets are fragile at the moment... I have looked into Gulden rewards at 100 / block and no halving? Will the total amount be 1.68 billion coins or will the 100 rewards carry on forever?

100 per block until the original target of 1.68 billion is met and then rewards stop with the idea being that fees will be sufficient at this point. This will be a long way in the future though.
