i am not sure , but i think ethereum is the way to go if you are looking for long-term investment. because i think that they have a lot more room to grow in comparison to bitcoin, maybe bitcoin will add the lightning network but i don't see that changing that much. while i think eth has the future with smartcontracts and the endless possibilities it gives.

The tax situation is the same tax nightmare that any day trader for stocks would have to deal with, I don't understand how people come to terms with the fact that it's NOT THAT BAD. Use a reputable exchange and they'll hold the information to make taxes a breeze / or as close to one as they can with their records on you.
People don't want to invest in crypto because it's as volatile as penny stocks, people want traditional investments with traditional returns. That's the best for them, I don't know why you'd be mad about what people invest in.
If you use crypto currency, you will have to pay taxes unequivocally. But I think that most of the users of crypto currency do not announce their profits and their activities. Therefore here taxation has nothing to do with it. Another possibility of investing in the crypto currency is the investment of crypto currency in the crypto currency. And because today there is a low price, so far no one is doing it. it also depends on the country you live in , in the USA the taxes on crypto are horrible and it is understandable if that holds hem back. but since it is different in every country i agree that it is not the taxation holding people back. |

why sell a bots if the owner / creator used it to gain all whole profit into it ?  *if i have a recipe of making a greatest taste of pizza and coffe, im sure im not gonna sell it to other people you are right. all you need to know about trading bots is this: if you can't build your own don't even think about it. if you buy one you have no idea what you are buying first of all, second of all it is very hard to run it if you don't exactly know how it works. |

you need to do more research on investing in crypto because you made one of the most common mistakes that are warned for everywhere. you panicked and sold your stash because of that, while everyone who has an idea what they are doing already go their money out or are just waiting it out. because this crash has been said to come since december. you probably sold your coins to someone who was smart enough to sell high and buy back lower, this is the game and you need to learn what is going on if you want to recover some losses.

If we reserved during the PRE-RESERVE in November, will we still be purchasing those coins or has this changed? I'm concerned about lack of details and wanted to plan my investment. Thanks in advance.
I asked them directly and they apparently canceled those reservations and won't honor them no more. Kind of disappointing. You will get a bounty for your support though but it's probably not that much compared to what you reserved. Cancelled? I wish someone explains this action. would be extremely disappointing if that is the case, especially since we waited months under the promise of a certain price. i would like to hear what the devs have to say about it. |

Bitcoin, in my opinion, is going to go up in price. What I reason is happening now is all about countries trying to benefit from a new shift in the financial system. For example, certain Russian hotel will introduce the use of Bitcon for the payment of hotel accommodation for the upcoming World Cup, secondly, Switzerland is renowned for being cryptocurrency friendly, among other factors. What is happening now is a kind of consolidation of Bitcoin. Bitcoin, to my view, has a bright future.
I think that today we can not say anything definitively, because the crypto currency market is still quite young and the situation in the world has a very strong influence on this market. I can only hope for the best moments and believe in a good and positive Exodus. Near? is a bulshit. you're right that crypto is still very young and still in developmental stage. many people in the world have not used bitcoin or other crypto yet. or have not even heard about crypto ? impossible crypto to fall while many people continue to show interest in the world of crypto. I think the future of crypto is still very long dude. we have not reached the golden age ? the problem is that those people mostly only show interest when the price is up, and seem to panic sell and go away when the market crashes. and a lot of people know about bitcoin but aren't really interested in buying it , that is just how it is. |

i personally don't like the mining game, takes a lot of money up front. and it takes at least a couple of months to recoup something from your first investment, and then you are starting to make money. after that you are depending on what the market is doing. i would do some research on trading and investing and decide what is good for you, just always do good research.

I agree pretty much with what was said in this thread. Try and avoid ICOs.
Look at how many of them were fraudulent in the past.
Problems with ICOs in my opinion is that's it's pretty much risky for the investor and not the company.
Basically they think of an idea, make a white paper and try and sell it. But the idea isn't put in motion or tested out in real world first. It's just a white paper.
So even if it's a good idea, who knows if the developers can even deliver and once it's done whether it will work in the real world. And last but not least... will the company make money.
Hence in my opinion... stay away from ICOs.
there are some ICOs out there that already have a working product, and are compliant with the new regulations. i agree that it is stupid to invest money in ICOs that only have an idea, but don't dismiss all ICOs because of that. i think they can bring a lot of new developments to this market. |

for me the best time is when the market reaches ath, when that moment comes i am ready to sell a significant portion of my stack. because there is a big chance the market will go down again making it possible to rebuy at a better rate , and also pocketing some money.

To everyone complaining about the current situation crypto is in or questioning why its happening you need to keep in mind that if something triples in price in a relatively short period of time, it can crash just as hard in the same period of time. I remember when eth had its climb up $1400 people were ecstatic and they thought that we were never gonna see sub $1k eth again when just a few months ago eth was just $300. This greed brought on by the price influxes is blinding people from the reality that crypto prices cant keep going up forever.
This is the reality in cryptocurrency. And this is perfectly normal, and in fact preferred. You cannot expect something which is organically healthy to simply pump and pump until forever. That is not what we expect, much less want. We gladly appreciate a rise and fall of prices as these are dependent on natural buy and sell or demand movements of traders and investors. Market corrections are very normal and should not pose as a problem to crypto. even though it is so clear that it is normal behavior for this market , people panic and sell at the wrong time. i think you can draw the conclusion that some people just can't stomach the losses that come with this market. |

I am waiting when Ethereum will go over 600 dollars and then will make a decision, most likely transfer about 70 procents of depo to fiat. Now there are no signs of possible turnaround. I think prices have grown because fonds entered the market, but without mass hype this growth will not last long.
i am wondering how much more people are gonna do this , people who want out but are smart enough not to panic sell. if enough people cash out then the market will stay there for a while. |

i think it is an better option to just wait till the prices go back up. what you are trying to do is making op for losses by taking a big risk, trading isn't as easy as it looks like. we all lost money in the last couple of months, just have confidence that the prices will go back up.

In my opinion, the difference between trading and investment is more profit gained by trading. If you look through everyday the charts, signals of crypto-currencies there you can have much more profit with trading than just passive income obtained by investment. And usually trading income is based on for short period of time , whereas investment depends upon for long-term. i disagree with that , i think for most people their best bet is to invest and leave the day trading as it is. the returns you have had if you just held bitcoin for 2 years are incredible , and almost impossible to achieve for the average person with daytrading. |

most of this isn't trading in organic volume, but shorts getting liquidated. so i wouldn't put to much value on it. but that 30 min candle was nice to see , at least there was some action again.

i like bittrex more , even better with the new ui update. i used to like polo but after they had a lot of problems with customer service i refuse to use them. although i read that they are bought by some bank , so maybe they will solve some of the problems they have.

i think it is good , because most people have no clue what they are doing. so it should be easier to make money, most people see the fluctuations and think they can jump in and make some easy money. but it takes a lot more then that , but before they know that they already lost money to seasoned traders.

Right now I love bitcoin from 2106 till now and currently I'm in college but by playing bitcoin I can make a lot of money what should I do? I prefer to play bitcoin instead of college. I also realize that bitcoin will not last forever therefore I want to take advantage when bitcoin still exists.
It just came out to you that bitcoin will not last forever. It is still better to finish your study like what I did. Bitcoin helped me a lot especially in financial assistance. I studied while I am earning bitcoin and as of now I am now a graduating student. In just a week I will be graduated in my course and they will call me now an Engineer. My perspective in terms in earning money, don't just focus on one thing because all the things in this world are temporary. So while there's an opportunity just grab it. If I were you, I will finish my studies even I have a lot of money because of bitcoin. Because I believe that they can steal everything to you but not your knowledge.  i agree , and if you really want you can try to learn programming. this can be very useful in the future. |

usd doesn't even need to go to 0 , if a big bank collapses it could cause a domino effect. if that happens then the price of crypto will surely go up.
