21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: October 10, 2020, 08:12:35 AM
Of course it does. Every good business that depends its success on the investors strive to name their product something that would attract people. Its much more vital than it seems. No matter what your business is, you must set it a goal that its name leaves a ring in the ear.

23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to move on if you've failed to meet the due date of a bounty campaign on: October 10, 2020, 02:35:50 AM
Just move on generally. It was on you in the first place when you failed to pass your work on the due date. The project manager is just doing protocol. The best action would be to consider what you did and do better on the next one.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Now Bounty Program totally worth less !! 90% Bounties are scam on: October 10, 2020, 12:42:05 AM
It is sad that its true. A lot of honest and hardworking people are being sucked in these scams and those that profit are these terrible, lying pricks. The amount of work in bounty all uncredited is sad.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find out about new projects? on: October 08, 2020, 03:05:46 PM
I find thing mostly in the bounty hunting forums. Im not onle to invest with real money in coins and i should probably reevaluate that choice, but i learn about new coins in bounty hunting forums, and then i search them and if they look promising i take a gig and it goes on from that.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest cryptocurrency wallets on: October 08, 2020, 09:41:17 AM
Cryptocurrencies can be kept online or offline. If the cryptos are kept on the exchange platforms or other online platforms, it can be lost due to hacks.

So it is important to choose the best wallets that are safe and secure. Please help me in choosing the safest cryptocurrency wallets

I have used ether wallet ever since i started. In ever transaction ive made its always ether. I tried with other wallets but the goldilocks wallet for me would be ether, its easy to navigate and since ive started with it ive felt far more comfortable than to experiment with the others.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the hell are Crypto kitties? on: October 08, 2020, 08:19:48 AM
I read some topics on reddit about crypto kitties and some people that they sold their kitties for 250ETH? WTF?
What is this ?

I heard its this kind of game where you start with this avatar of a kitty and then you breed it. It started back in 2018 and apparently everyone went crazy for and somehow it caught on and its worth a lot depending on the rarerity.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I like to collect the token on: October 07, 2020, 04:23:10 PM
Do you have a preference for collecting tokens instead of selling them?
Currently in my wallet there are more than 200 tokens with different values and I do not sell them every time it is listed. I keep them and watch them every day. I was fascinated by the fact that there were many tokens in my wallet and not paying attention to their price.
Do you think this is a crazy hobby?

i used to do the same thing before until i decided to dump some of them. its sort of a healing process, after holding some of the coins for quite a while i noticed there was no significant change in value and most likely there wont be in any future. its better to let them go now than to hold unto them, its exhausting to monitor such a large variety of tokens.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if "De-Fi" platforms become regulated in the future? on: October 07, 2020, 04:42:22 AM
Just like the ICO boom of 2017, the "De-Fi" space seems to be heading towards an ever-rising hype cycle. It shouldn't be long enough before scams start "kicking in", making governments regulate the space in their entirety. If they impose heavy-handed regulations like they did in ICO's early days, "De-Fi" might no longer be the same.  Imagine developers being held liable for creating and launching a "De-Fi" platform on the Blockchain. The growth of the industry will stifle because of fierce regulations from mainstream governments. After what happened with ICOs, new denominations have emerged (namely STOs and IEOs). These new kind of ICOs have built-in mechanisms to comply with government's regulations such as seizure of assets and more. Something similar might happen with "De-Fi" if governments decide to start cracking down on the entire industry.

What do you think the outcome of "De-Fi" regulation will be? Will governments be successful at the task like they did with ICOs? Or not? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

When the time comes that the government would finally get a hold of DeFi or any other token, id say good bye to the massive trade returns. When tokens will be regulated the value would be much more stable and not volatile. Those lucky chances of gaining so much with little investment can say goodbye.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The IRS offers reward to anyone able to break Monero and the LN on: October 03, 2020, 09:02:08 AM
All the government really wants is to control all things evident of all the surveillance theyve been doing on everyone on the internet. The thought of something going under tge radar scares them and rightfully so. The power of the government is to control its people, without that itll fall apart.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Airdrop Nobody is Talking About, shhh. on: October 03, 2020, 08:20:28 AM
I have never really cared for airdrops until that uniswap incident. Getting this airdrop might be worth it, im not missing anymore of it. Thanks for the info by the way, money is money.

Why Ripple (XRP) might be the future of digital payments

Check out the discussion here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmiBm2LQlyk

Ripple, the world’s fast-growing crypto payment powerhouse, works with bank regulators and policymakers in several governments for the adoption of digital payments.

CryptoWhale, a crypto analytic firm, in a series of tweets, recently spoke on the odds of giving XRP the edge, as it works with government regulators on compliance.

Also with the news of more properties by 2021 i do not see why not. I have always believed in ripple and a lot of other people believe it would be the future of coins being used in everyday transactions.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is monero a good buy because of the application? on: October 03, 2020, 07:01:03 AM
I'd like to know some thoughts from the lovely minds here. Not trying to get rich quick or anything. Just curious if monero is a good buy based on the application of use preferred to being anon. I personally would only stake to eventually somehow get the nero to btc. Just kind of curious on the thoughts of folks and the coin in that sense.

I would say yes. Bitcoin was created in order to transact annonymously to the point of payments for illegal tjings since then it was impossible to track. If there was a coin offering that and is more secure id say it would be best to stake on it.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram is trash on: October 03, 2020, 03:02:58 AM
Seems it's just an echo chamber that tells you your bags are going to the moon... And if the price happens to go down? ?
....then it's another chance to fill your bags even more LMFAO!

One critical observation.... Instaban!

Silly ass shit

Am I wrong?

Edit: I am not talking about Electroneum.

Biggest joke on Telegram is Avalanche. Great project, horrific Telegram. Not one negative comment.  LOL

But this is how it's done on almost all projects...purposefully.

Trashy as hell.  BAD form. Zero class

I thought this was about taking a jab on telegram as an illusion of being a part of a project but not really because updates there could be fabricated lies for investors to feel safe because they are being given updates.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) will complete global expansion into 195 countries by 2021 on: October 03, 2020, 02:07:02 AM
Ripple (XRP) will complete global expansion into 195 countries by 2021

Check out the discussion here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXvt-pPNqrg

Ripple has more than 350 partners worldwide who use the company’s payment technologies to process cross-border payments inexpensively and in a short time. Ripple employs more than 500 people worldwide and is currently striving to further expand its own presence, especially in Asia. In an exciting interview, Marcus Treacher now gave an outlook on the company’s future expansion efforts.

With this expansion, i can see ripple catching up with its stronger competitors. Ripple has come a long way expanding its horizons and with bigger hold it can only grow every passing day.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is UniSwap the most powerful in the Defi market? on: October 03, 2020, 01:01:15 AM
It’s just 10 days back that DeFi protocol Uniswap launched their Uni token and now Uniswap becomes the first DeFi protocol to cross $2 Billion.

Read more: https://www.worldcoinindex.com/news/defi-protocol-uniswap-crosses-2-billion-in-total-value-locked

Will Uniswap remain it's top position or is this just a hype?

I say its just a hype. Ive heard of uniswap before but it never really reeled me in because of the higher fees, good on the people who used it still tho, they got their hands on the sweet sweet airdrop.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Trading Platform! on: October 02, 2020, 01:59:50 PM
I am using Kucoin and Binance for quite a while now. The current hack on kucoin really gave a lot of people including me a scare. But i cant complain, kucoin is one of the only trading platforms i can work with.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hello everyone! Do you still have confidence in altcoin? on: October 02, 2020, 11:51:05 AM
At present, the market condition of altcoin is not very good, the exchange rate of BTC is getting lower and lower, and many altcoins have been unmaintained. Even if the development team still insists, the price is very miserable! The blow to the entire team is not small, I am afraid it is difficult to persevere. Now there are a few questions that I want to discuss with you:
1. In your life, when would you use cryptocurrencies to shop? We know that people like to use cryptocurrencies in the dark web.Is general life shopping necessary?
2. If you use cryptocurrency for payment, what currency will you prefer to choose and why?
3. At present, the altcoin market is very bleak. Do you think this is a buying opportunity?
4. What do you think is the easiest to implement in Altcoin's future application scenarios and will attract more users!

Thanks all replies

I dont see altcoins or any crypto currency being used in the future. I get the question a lot but i just dont understand how people are entertaining the idea of such volatile coins being used in every day life.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are DeFi projects trustless? on: October 02, 2020, 02:24:28 AM
They should be since it's Decentralized Finance.

Ratimov had a topic on this and if you haven't seen it yet, visit https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5275538.0

In that topic, DeFi was defined as:
Quote
Decentralized Finance (DeFi) is a decentralized, open source and ecosystem of financial applications, which does not require trust  / services based on public blockchains, predominantly Ethereum. The DeFi ecosystem encompasses all aspects of financial services and transactions, including lending, lending, and trading within decentralized structures. Any Internet user can interact with the ecosystem and manage assets through peer-to-peer (P2P) and decentralized applications (dApps).

However, DeFi Watch recently reported that majority of top DeFi projects today isn't as decentralized as they seem. You are probably aware that most of them are controlled by a few individuals or what we call as the "core team" but do you know that they can change the codes without the community consent? They can even adjust or compromise a user's deposit balance if they want to. It's possible for them to do all of that since they have the "admin keys" to control the smart contract.

Admin keys in most of these DeFi projects are protected with timelocks and multi-signatures for security and to try to make it look more decentralized.
- Timelocks delays the implementation of upgrades, code changes, or transactions made by developers. This allows the community to review what the team is doing before it takes effect. In cases of hacks, the time lock allows developers to block or invalidate malicious codes.
- Multi-Sig means it takes more than one key to sign and authorize transactions.

The problem is how do we know the level of security of these admin keys? Access to them is limited to a few people so we won't. The core team can only say it's highly secured but we cannot verify that. What we can only do right now is to trust what these core team claims. Some of them are even anonymous  Roll Eyes

If you want list of projects in the report, here are your must read articles:
- https://defiwatch.net/admin-key-config-and-opsec/what-is-admin-key-risk (Watch the video)

P.S.
This post is not to discourage anyone to look into DeFi projects but to try to educate everyone of things they are not probably aware of. As we all know, it's easy to get caught up in the hype and invest immediately without looking into technical details.

I think rather it should be built on a foundation of trust. With something as not being able to know whats going on as an investor, i dont think anyone would get involved in it. All you can do with a blind eye is trust the team behind it, still pretty sketchy but what can i say.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW CAN ONE KNOW A FAKE AIRDROP? on: October 01, 2020, 03:31:20 PM
Determining a legit airdrop from a scam can be challenging especially when you got the hots for that sweet sweet coin. The way i do it is i check their groups and site and even whitepaper if there is available. Just try not to rush on to the next freebie you could find.
