21  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2100 TH] CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: April 14, 2015, 08:19:10 PM
Now I am interested to see how the very large rental I did works in this case.  I peaked at a  1ph for a 3 shift rental minutes 24 hours ago.

I spent about .5 btc   Since it was only for 4 shifts  does my average stay flat.  If it is the case a huge short rental is more effective. Since you peak the average hash in under 500%.

say 150 shifts = 500%

  If I average 400th over 4 shifts

4/150 x 400th = 10th average right away? and it stays at 10th basically all the way.

I am basing all calcs on a flat pool rate.  I know if pool rate gets real high my hash average drops.

So far I am in between an average of 5-6th  as I peaked at 1ph over 4 shifts  but the 4 shift average  was 381th.

I also realize that shift count for 500% varies.

% of the 500% is 90% + 15%   so I have 395% left on my rental.  I suspect I need 3 more blocks to break even.

first payment was 0.099  waiting on the second.

Where are you renting? Sounds interesting...

Nicehash.

I am renting a few hundred th right now.

Not really seeing how profit can be maximized with this rental service unless you get lucky and find a block on a solo site like solo.CK. Otherwise, it's just a money loop where the platform owner (Nicehash/Wethash) is the only one making a profit. The sellers make what they would at a decent pool and the buyers are just funneling coins trying to get lucky. If the BTC/TH/DAY price was set lower than a buyer could see a constant profit margin. Too risky for me.

If you're a buddy of Mr.Personality and want to stand up for him, then... good on you.

I've been told that I can increase the capacity of my site by adding up to 4 new 630KVA transformers, which seems reasonable in relation to the power lines that runs through the property. But I don't know. What do I do? I ask an engineer to come look at the site and tell me which configuration is most suitable. I am not an expert at everything, nor do I have to be. The miners are running and I'm making the bitcoins I am supposed to on this pool. That doesn't mean I am not interested in the specifics from time to time, which may result in a question on this forum in a thread dedicated to one of Mr.Personality's competitors (questions on a forum, I know, crazy). And I'm ok with that. What makes me mad is when this [can't say, will get banned] drops in just to piss on people.
Lulz well I guess from your ignorant point of view my post:

from Kano the fucktard, is just to piss people off Smiley
Though I had the opinion it wasn't ...

As for my marketing skills. I have none.
I don't suck up to people to make them give me money.
Money does not decide my actions - clearly unlike you - from your statement.

Gotta agree with Fatman; your initial answer was kind of douch laden "K". I only say that because I got a answer from you that was pretty level headed considering it was noob based as well. All in all let's get money. Never know when we may work together on a project so why create enemies?...

Anyway; seems like my miners are having issues with the Antpool. I wonder what's happing. Anyone else bouncing around at Antpool today?

27  Bitcoin / Pools / Antpool Oddity on: April 09, 2015, 03:20:56 AM
So, I'm just polling to see if anyone else noticed the odd block (351327) from AntPool. Transactions are waiting to be filled so a 0.2KB block size is indeed odd. I guess someone hard cycled the server and didn't save the configs...
