There are a few scrypt-jane miner where you can set the time but a decent i7 hashes at roughly 50 hs per core, i get 0.4 on my i7-4690 and then shut it down again ^^

Just download Smolen's miner and run it. I wouldn't advise to buy a GPU just now for mining Vanillacoins (or anything else) though, since block rewards dropped to 88 and FPGA's are just around the corner which will be far better in terms of energy efficiency.


But if you plan on buying a good GPU anyway for gaming and etc., go on.

So che l'idea del mining fa gola, ma fidati, se non rientri nei costi rapidamente, tra installazione, rumore delle ventole anche solo quando c'è da fare manutenzione e calore prodotto, fai decisamente prima ad acquistare e mettere da parte btc, almeno con la maggior parte del capitale. Poi con quello che rimane ti prendi per sfizio qualche s5 e via. Sempre imho.

Non considerando la corrente riusciresti ad ammortizzare in poco più di 7 mesi, quindi imho no, non conviene
