I have been investing in cryptocurrency for 5 months . I am buying some icos and holding coins. I started with 5000 usd. And sometimes my balance went up to 30k and down to 12k . I feel very uncomfortable when my balance is dropped.
So i want to know is there any strategy to protect your balance before the dump?

According to this moment I have no right strategy to overcome the losses when the coins we hold down. But if you invest in altcoin there is a signal when you have to sell or buy, now the price movement of altcoin and bitcoin is parallel or when the price of Bitcoin decreases then altcoin price goes down and when Bitcoin price goes up then altcoin price goes up. an opportunity for you to take advantage of the moment. Responding to the news I assume that News about Hack and other negative news it is FUD that makes new investors sell all the coins, The fact is now Bitcoin prices start up and maybe at the end of 2018 Bitcoin will reach the price of $ 4K.  does anyone agree with my opinion? |

I think at the end of 2020 only the fittest coins will survive the cryptocurrency market. By fit, I mean the most use cases such as Ethereum. There will be market leaders like Ethereum, Bitcoin and others. And along with them the coins which serve to a whole particular industry which have already accepted the coin for their use will survive and rebuild the whole crypto world.
I think so too, there will be a lot of coins that will be extinct, I think in 2020 the competition of crypto coins will be very fierce. and coins that have no quality will be left behind by its users. |

I have been thinking whether 0.005 btc is good enough to start but it is just for practice trading right, no matter, if you lose the profit at least you will gain experience. I start my trading in coinut and deposit 0.005 btc when it was around 12k USD. I stop my trading when the fluctuation causes traders to sell high.
Eventually, I am trying to read chart and still losing. I know I need to learn more, and I have tried to trade with altcoins with low price but not yet satisfied.

I started trading with $ 300 capital and I tried to take a 10% profit from some of the coins I traded. although the benefits are few but it is quite fun for me. or when arbitrage between markets may profit you will get more. |

This would produce the most gains , but if you predict wrong you could be stuck waiting for the price to either come back up or down to get back in. I did this the other day. I sold and bought back in at what I had predicted was going to be the next upswing. However some last second sellers swooped in and dropped the price below my limit. Then it just continued to fall from there. Now I sit and wait for the price to come back up to my purchase price so I can get back at it. I hate waiting. I get antsy. I should have left some money in reserve so I could have at least bought in at the bottom. I got greedy. Now I wait.  I never do all in a trade, because I know all in the trade is very risky. make it a habit to provide a backup fund to back up when the coin you hold falls. |

So this happened to me twice this week, first I sold Bitcoin Cash and the next day, it started booming and has not up considerably and still going strong, then I sold Golem and boom it goes too.
What do you do in such situations? When you finally sell for a small profit after a long wait but then you realize that you missed on big profit with you bad timing.
How do you deal with this? Any tips to minimize this or overcome after such bad timing decisions?
I've had a situation like that, Maybe it's because I'm not an expert in trading and lack of knowledge in predicting the market. Make it all as a very valuable experience, hopefully in the future you will benefit greatly. |

What is your expectation for EOS's ATH running up to its mainnet launch. Do you think it can comfortably overtake BCH and take in rank 4 before mainnet?
I personally expect that we have only seen the start of its boom and expect the high to be around 300k sats. EOS could possibly contend with Ether, but I don't expect thatl happen anytime soon since the Ethereum brand is very strong.
