21  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mtgox Bitcoin withdrawal not showing on network after 3 hours....!!! on: January 02, 2014, 11:03:18 PM
I have the same problem....I withdrew yesterday and it still hasnt arrived! nearly 24 hours now.....nothing. Not in the blockchain at all. 4.72BTC. This is ridiculous, Mtgox are so terrible..... support tickets go unanswered not even 'allocated' to a customer service rep yet.
22  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can anyone confirm whether or not Mtgox domestic withdrawals in YEN are delayed on: December 28, 2013, 06:42:31 AM
Is this still happening in a timely manner for JPY customers? Is it done in 2 days as said above?
23  Economy / Trading Discussion / China bank deposits....what about Hong Kong? on: December 28, 2013, 06:22:42 AM
So.....the problem is that there are no ways to fund the exchanges on the mainland, what if you use a Hong Kong bank account or if BTCchina or OKcoin setup in HK? They can have an RMB denominated account which is available at most institutions and use that. Any problems here?

*Mainlanders sending RMB to HK
*Bank is located in HK
*Deposits/Withdrawals can be received and processed without being subject to the rules on the mainland.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin In India Under attack :- global community please help on: December 28, 2013, 05:22:23 AM
And this is another badge of honor for Bitcoin. A central bank comes after us, check, we are now officially legitimate. Where do I send my donations for the Indian defense fund?

Yep I'll donate to a Defence fund. DDOS, education campaign, whatever. We need to free the world from this government oppression.

27  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 0.05 BTC for 0.02 BTC Cant believe it? Click here on: December 03, 2013, 04:13:30 PM
Still kind of wondering why you think you will or why you think there is any BTC left there.

Oh, maybe you think there is BTC left there just because your account shows a number of BTC?

But, in fact, all the BTC are gone.  Your BTC are gone.

Gone? Yes
But the hacker or tf is legally liable to pay the btc.

Lol, yep ok
28  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Oppinions, and Transfer speeds of Mt.Gox? on: December 03, 2013, 04:03:00 PM
Hi and welcome, you must be new here.

Mtgox is slow as shit, the reason the price is higher is the market are pricing in a risk factor for trading there see this 134page thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=179586.0 where people are waiting 3+months with no end in sight for their money. Don't go to Gox.

Bitstamp is the best but they're currently getting smashed in volume and deposits are taking ages now too.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Transaction Time on: December 01, 2013, 11:12:33 AM
You people realise unless you send BTC from a client yourself, if you rely on a company or someone else to actually send the BTC you have to wait until they actually do it and the moment they do it will be on the blockchain. Clicking Withdraw with some website and your coins not arriving ontime is not a problem with bitcoin but a problem with the website or the company you are using.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin for Remittances on: December 01, 2013, 11:08:20 AM
Ok, so there is alot of hype surrounding the potential here, we all know about how bitcoin makes it cheaper to transact cross borders, especially for migrant workers sending small sums of money home, but I have a few questions.

Is this doable now and if so how?

So its easy to get the BTC to anywhere in the world, but for the person who is sending their $200 home to say, India (somewhere with low bitcoin penetration), how does the person in India cash out that $200 in the local currency? Would it be a matter of:

Two people, Person A is sending money to Person B.

1. Person A deposits cash at bank with reference code
2. That money is received, the bitcoin exchange buys an amount of BTC equal to that dollar value
3. BTC is sent to receiver in the destination country who then needs to find a buyer for that BTC to hand cash to the Person B

So it's step 3 where we have the problems now in an underdeveloped market (somewhere with low bitcoin penetration), BTC for remittance can't work there until there are buyers for that BTC. Is there any other way to do it? Maybe cash balances are held in both countries at specific banks, the dollars are sent and the BTC bought for a price 3% above market, then based on exchange rates the appropriate value is ready for collection by person B and the BTC is sold on the market thereby making the 3% premium above market as the commision.

But this can be done without bitcoin, so I guess it brings me back to my previous example....the only way to send remittance at the moment to markets not served by bitcoin and by using bitcoin as a money transmission mechanism we still need to involve traditional banks.

Thoughts?
31  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] RMBTB.com: New China Bitcoin exchange on: November 27, 2013, 09:21:51 AM
Is this exchange a registered company somewhere? Many are registered in HK these days. Can you provide any info on this?
32  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: November 27, 2013, 09:05:14 AM
Why are people still using Gox and why are you waiting months to withdraw? Just cancel your wire, buy BTC then withdraw that, there is a higher likelihood you'll see that than your money anytime soon. Also Gox rate dropped below Bitstamp momentarily today so you could of bought on gox then sold on Bitstamp and not taken a bashing on the 10% difference between exchanges.....

Also do we have proof of a Japanese bank transfer taking place quickly? Rather than just some guy saying that it probably is happening because he heard it from somewhere.
33  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-e deposit/withdrawal issues [Gathering] on: November 26, 2013, 02:45:54 PM
I withdrawed 0.3 BTC from MtGox to BTC-E 1.5 hours ago, and it still doesn't show up as an unconfirmed transaction.

I have moved BTC from Mt Gox to BTC-E before and then I received it much much quicker. Do I need to be worried or not?

Is the transaction in the blockchain yet? It might be gox being slow to actually send it....
34  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-e deposit/withdrawal issues [Gathering] on: November 26, 2013, 09:41:42 AM
Deposited $9.5k, got it credited in a day. That was good. bought BTC, tried to sell and now a 30 day money hold on my account. Have sent a ticket today asking why as the same thing happened last time and I sent them my docs and it got sorted, will update when (if) I hear back.
35  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-e USD Deposits not working on: November 25, 2013, 12:03:58 AM
BTCe credited my account today with the wire I sent on Friday. Quite relieved, and also the fastest I've seen them do it.
36  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-e USD Deposits not working on: November 22, 2013, 10:51:29 AM
Damn, wish I had read this thread before yesterday. I wired them $9500 yesterday....let's see how that turns out.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need only 1 big company of USA to start accepting Bitcoin on: November 09, 2013, 01:44:27 PM
Bitpay is in USA Market
Bitstamp is I thought headed to USA as well

Sad part is Mt Gox lost the US Market.  Now they are in the legal problems in USA and the court case is against them.  US Gov seized their US Bank Accounts.

US Market is a tough one to get into.  So many financial regulations and it will cost at least $2,000,000 to register as the Financial Service Company + regulatory filing cost with USA Hourly Lawyer fees that would be another $250,000 USD + a few financial professionals to hammer out the compliance things + a publicly accessible offices.

It seems to be at least $5,000,000 USD just to get into the market with 6-12 month waiting period.

Bitstamp is based in Slovenia.

Stupid idea for anyone to start up in the USSA these days with the hostile government and excessive regulations, much better to setup somewhere like Hong Kong, Singapore etc.

40  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: BitPay processes $1 million bitcoin order for Butterfly Labs on: October 29, 2013, 07:09:39 PM
Some rich guy heard about a bitcoin, heard you could buy computers that make them and saw they were worth $200 per BTC. Then went and googled 'bitcoin mining hardware' and BFL was the first site that came up, looks legit. Hit order thinking he will make the money the bitcoinx profit calculator says he will.

Obviously has no idea what difficulty is, how it works or anything about BFL and what a joke of a company they are.
