Nope, that's a real legit board. You guys act like you've never seen dual socket boards in a server setup or workstations. EVGA had no thought of bitcoin when designing this.

Sorry for the ignorance, but I started hardware mining a while ago and haven't looked at bitcoin for a few months. Is there a link to these new BFL ASICs or more info where I can read about them?

Probably worth around $300? I never owned one of these or a 5970, but in the past they sold for around $300.

Test each slot and the extender ribbons individually to make sure all of them work. If they all work find individually, it might be a motherboard limitation in how the BIOS is coded, or bad drivers from ATI.

OP, there are too many variables to low hashrate. Check to see that the card is not being throttled because of higher temps, or that it did not instantly crash, or if it's running in 2D instead of 3D mode. All these will cause it to downclock. Also, the mining software and tags can make huge differences in hashrates.

Diamond = the Newegg OEMs?
No, diamond is a brand for ATI cards. They are not solely for newegg. Rosewill is newegg's own generic brand. For guys that are RMAing your 5970s, are you still getting back the same fixed 5970 or a different 5970? It's hard to imagine that these companies still keep around spare stock of 5970 just for RMAs since these cards are so old now.

I think modstream is not OCZ's high end series PSU. And also, if the motherboard doesn't have a dedicated 6-pin (or molex) power for the PCI-e, then you're drawing about 25w of power per GPU through the PCI-e lanes. This might cause some instabilities too.

Sorry, out of context. What I was hoping was that someone ELSE had taken THEIR fans off their 5830s to do water cooling, and maybe had those extra fans laying around and wanted to make me a reasonable offer to sell them to me. I think it's pretty rare to find someone that would watercool a 5830, as that is a huge waste. And even then, I think people usually keep the stock air coolers around just for backup in case they want to revert back to air cooling or in case something is wrong with the loop.

There's a small monthly fee to use this, it's also capped to a certain amount, and it now seems like they now also need some kind of verification process. So in other words, I don't think this will make a dent in the BTC market or volatility.

Stability ends the closer we get to December.
What's in December again? Is it that decrease to 25BTC per block as opposed to 50BTC?

Any type of Rosewill products really turns me off. I've had several before with really bad experiences. Just keep in mind that Rosewill is a generic brand for newegg, so you won't exactly know who the OEM is unless you open up the item.

Did anyone's orders get fulfilled at that price without a reverse?

That doesn't look like a reference design, so it it guaranteed to unlock to a 6970?

Can anyone just post a quick comparison of the hash rates of a 6990 vs 7990?

bulanula, you seriously don't think you did a single thing wrong? Wow... just wow. I guess when BTC just mistakenly falls into your lap, the owner has no right to ask for it back huh? So instead, you're going to force a service of 10 months and keep his BTC. Before he paid you, he never agreed to 10 months, it was 1 month that BOTH you guys agreed to.
And on a different note, the payer cares about his money and wants it back, and you care enough about your forum status to want the scammer tag removed. Yet you don't care enough about his money to give it back. When you registered on this forum, you're not entitled to anything. Theymos can do whatever he wants with your account, just like how you can do whatever you want with the the mistakenly sent BTC. So whether or not you think you deserve this scammer tag, it doesn't matter. So STFU and stop crying like a little girl.
Some people just have no decency. I hope some freak accident renders you paralyzed, and you lose all physical ability to enjoy life, along with all your so-called hard earned money. You more than deserve it.

Well then... I guess all these accusations scared him off.

I love the creativity of that lego setup. Although, one karate chop and the structure blows up haha.

something stinks... check your kill-a-watt! I'd buy 10w each but the 50w is unreal.
This is very real. I did a short test of how temperature affected the power consumption, and power difference was between 40-50W. The test: gtx480 was stressed with furmark with fan off until it reached 100C (yes I know, this is very hot but it only reached this temp for a few sec), then I measured the power consumption. When I let the fan run at full blast again, power consumption shot up instantly by 10W, which means the fan itself consumes 10W by itself. Then as it cooled the GPU down to around 60C, the power difference was between 40-50W. I forgot exact numbers, but the take-home message I got out of that was that low temps will have a significant affect on power draw.

Lol funny how OP's question turned in a debate on morality. Save the ethics debate for another time. This is the same thing as price mistakes and everyone jumping on it, but when it's fixed, then the people that tried to buy the item throws a hissy fit.

So now I have a challenge for you, lets brain storm together and come up with something that can help both the small and large investor. Lets work on something to change bitcoin, lets work together and solve this problem and lets find a way to grab the average citizen and get them into BitCoin. I am usually a person who sits back and lets others figure out how to solve things that are "To Big For Me" I say its only to big if I let it be too big. P.S. I'll be editing this post to add your ideas Thanks for reading this Nice little pep talk, but didn't really inspire me. I'll give you props for the good intentions at a young age though.
