21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IPO OpenSea on: December 14, 2021, 03:24:23 AM
Open Sea denied rumors of an IPO. The new CFO of OpenSea, Brian Roberts, stated that the company does not plan to enter an IPO (initial public offering on the stock market) after a negative reaction from the community. After criticism and rumors about the IPO, Roberts wrote that if such plans appear, the company will involve the community in the discussion.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel about the looming Metaverse boom? on: December 14, 2021, 03:19:21 AM
So as to make it decentralised, developers should use blockchain as if it will be created by a company, for example, Meta, it will mean that we all depend on them and if they decide to close an access or something like this, we will not be able to enter the Metaverse so we want to have it decentralised so as not to depend on someone and take all decisions by voting.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: December 13, 2021, 04:29:51 AM
I was wondering, why (or why not) do you think that Bitcoin is better than Ethereum?

Ethereum seems to provide everything that Bitcoin offers but it has a huge advantage: smart contracts.
Smart contracts are small "programs" that live on the blockchain, so you can use them to build actual services and applications, while Bitcoin is useful only as a digital currency.

So why do you prefer Bitcoin if Ethereum seems superior?
Or maybe I'm missing something that makes Bitcoin actually better than Ethereum in some way?
There are different things that we can compare and make different conclusion which one is better. Personally I prefer Ethereum to Bitcoin, as I use different defi-projects. Nevertheless, if the consider as currencies, Bitcoin is much more winning. First of all, it is more decentralised and secure. Secondly, it doesn't have such an influencer like Ethereum has in the face of Vitalik Buterin.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Machine Learning truly predict Bitcoin's price? on: December 13, 2021, 04:22:53 AM
I've watched a lot of YouTube videos and read a lot of articles that claim that you can predict the Bitcoin price with Machine Learning and artificial intelligence like using some algorithm. Truth be told it is both intriguing and almost at the same time confusing. Personally, I don't think any ML or AI tech can make any price prediction now because we have a lot of whale manipulation (because the market size is smaller than any other market). Well, while I may be wrong I would like to know what you think. Have you ever gotten a satoshi richer by following the prediction of an algorithm?
I doubt that machine learning is capable of predicting the price of Bitcoin. There are market-makers that guide the price, also there are different news that can't be predicted and taken into consideration, so there are too much factors that influence the price. If this machine uses trading patterns, I don't think that it will always guess the price as according to statistics, traders lose more often than earn.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to Ethereum after the release of ETH2.0? on: December 13, 2021, 04:16:30 AM
Even if Ethereum 2.0. reduces gas fees, I think that there will be investors who will continue working on alternative chains such as Polygon, BSC, Near, Avalanche as they have already created their own ecosystems with many good projects. I hope that ethereum 2.0. will not influence a lot on Etheruem's security, but it is also possible that it will become lees secure then.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is USDT? on: December 13, 2021, 04:11:11 AM
This is a question i had for a long time, ive seen majority of traders buy and trade crypto through USDT,they just blindly trust it ,as its purpose is that of a stable coin ,i.e. basically a crypto replacement for USD($).
But what if the company behind USDT decides to cheat its holders,is there any way we can find out before a complete disaster? (for e.g. they start minting more coins unnecessarily)
is there any safety mechanism or a red flag indicator before its too late?
The main questions regarding USDT are wether it has declared collateral and how it releases new stablecoins. There were a lot of audits, but these questions are still unsolved. People continue using it, because it is the most convenient option. It is supported by all blockchains, most altcoins have pairs with it. Nevertheless, if you need to store your money in stable coins, you should pick up a basket a stable coins.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin main use case now on: December 12, 2021, 05:59:20 AM
Bitcoin is mainly an investment asset now. It is not very widely used for payment, at least in my country, it is forbidden to pay with crypto here. Also bitcoin is an indicator of crypto market mood like you said. All altcoins follow its global movements but with a bigger amplitude usually. I think that it will be adopted more and more in the future so that we will pay with it almost everywhere.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the single worst piece of advice you ever received relative to Bitcoin? on: December 12, 2021, 05:55:32 AM
I often read lists of tips and other best practices in the Bitcoin world, but i thought it would be interesting to share the worst Bitcoin advice you may have received throughout your adventure in this incredible monetary revolution.
I don't like when people recommend me to sell Bitcoin as I truly believe in it and I am going to hodl it at least 5 years more so when there is a crash, I don't think that it is reason to sell this fundamental currency. It is better to get rid of altcoins and accumulate stable coins so as to buy more Bitcoin when it is a full dip. One more bad piece of advise is to stake Bitcoin on some platforms. I had better leave it in my wallet than I trust it to any defi-project.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Prefer a KYCed Team? on: December 12, 2021, 05:49:43 AM

Recently, I am seeing some good altcoin projects that boast of having the project and the whole team passing some form of KYC. I am not, though, familiar how the whole team KYC is done but I guess this is in conjunction with a known third-party verifier. Of course, there is no guarantee that a project and team that got its own verifiable KYC will not never run away or fail as there are many variables to be considered but then again this can be helping in boosting confidence on the part of the investor. Should this be the new standard when looking for a new project to support?
It is recommended to familiarize yourself with team members and get to know about their previous works and projects. If developers and founders have many successful cases, this project may also be successful. If the team has passed KYC it gives you even more confidence as then you are sure that they don't lie and they are those people who introduced themselves.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Confused about pancakeswap farm on: December 12, 2021, 05:44:56 AM
Hey Guys
I appreciate if someone guide me
I want to add LP and farm it . for example if i choose add farm on bnb-cake pair . When i add LP i have to add $100 of bnb and $100 of cake to farm . so farm calculate $100 for interest or $200  Huh
When you invest $100 of bnb and $100 of cake to farm, the total sum is 200$ so you get interests for 200$. Actually, this pool is risky as both of tokens are volatile so in case of changing the price, you can lose a lot. Nevertheless, I invest in this pool on my own as I believe in this platform and I think that cake will grow in the long-term and pancakeswap will not be hacked, so I don't really care about price changes.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Things will always work out differently on: December 10, 2021, 03:53:10 AM
It is laid in Technical analysis that the market is cyclical and everything is repeated. There are different patterns that traders find on charts and then use them to make a decision. If it wasn't work at all, there wouldn't be so many people who trade and make money on it so I can't agree that everything works differently every time, but that's right that the situation is always different and the general situation is also important.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Q:Why isn't the Shocking Ethereum Fees discussed more in Media? A:... on: December 10, 2021, 03:27:17 AM
I believe because most 'Investors' in the space that have just arrived from Wall Street or Sherwood Forest are buying and selling nominal Ethereum on the Exchanges without ever performing an onchain action. Ethereum is utterly broken and 2.0 may never come.

Do you think this is a fair appraisal?
Investors  from Wall Street or Sherwood Forest like you said are not the only participants on crypto market. Unfortunately, I don't have such a statistics on how many investors don't interact with Ethereum but invest only via exchanges, but still there are a lot of crypto enthusiasts that suffer from high gas fees, so I am sure that Ethereum's team will solve this problem one day, otherwise they will lose all users.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you deal with your emotions after losing a lot of money on rug pulls? on: December 10, 2021, 03:22:54 AM

I wanna hear from you guys on how you deal with these rug pulls after losing huge amounts? Like how many days can you get back on track after being so emotional? Or what you’ve been doing in order to move on faster after you lost money on these rug pulls?
I try to be separated from my investments. It demands a great discipline and it makes me stronger when I don't have any emotions connected with money. I try not to think about losses if I have them. We should invest only such sum of money that we can afford to lose, this way, you will not be left without money needed for life. What is more, it is experience anyway, so you should take it into consideration and be more careful next time.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Great coins to invest in? on: December 10, 2021, 03:18:45 AM
Too many coins have been mentioned. Thank you all for your interesting opinions. But could you please suggest, let it say, your Top 3 cryptocurrencies to invest in now for the long term, except BTC? Wink
My top 3 includes Polkadot, Matic and Near. I do believe that they are very successful and demanded options that solve the problem of Ethereum's scalability as they are faster and cheaper. Moreover, Polkadot is developing unique technologies that allows us to move to different parachains and projects very easily. These three chains are building there ecosystems with a wide range of different projects on them.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $SAND & x-protocol on: December 08, 2021, 03:20:11 AM
I also invest in Sandbox as it is building its own metaverse and I am really excited about everything that is connected with the development of web3 and alternative reality. The sandbox was originally a decentralized platform for the gaming community, and now it is a metaverse based on Ethereum. You can create, buy and sell digital assets there. I know that there are a lot of companies that are interested in this project. For example, the Sandbox metaverse token has grown by 25% after statements about cooperation with Adidas
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you buying in this market downturn? on: December 08, 2021, 03:05:47 AM
Hi, the market has dropped dramatically recently, and we have the opportunity to buy cool projects at a good price, for example, it was possible to buy Solana, NEAR, Avalanche, Cordana much cheaper than they were a week ago.  have you bought something, and if so, what have you bought?
There is a rule that you shouldn't catch a falling knife. It means that if correction is still going, it is better not to buy. Personally I will wait for a small rebound and if the situation on a crypto market will be positive in general I will buy more dot, matic, bnb and some other fundamental currencies. Actually, I make regular purchases and buy more on corrections.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need help to understand an offer from finance company for my ico on: December 08, 2021, 03:01:37 AM
Respected members of bitcointalk , There are many finance companies contacting me and offering me their clients is interested in my project and want to buy like big amount of equity or share or can invest in my token like 20 or 30% of my total token supply. I am suspecious as more people contacting me. Now I want you to let me know if you experience same thing or know something like that to understand their intentions . Thanks.
Actually, I don't have my own project so I don't experience the same thing. Nevertheless, I often face the situation when I offered different financial services such as  investing in their company or use their services to make it easier to trade. When I get such offers, I always refuse them as I think that only scammers will attract people in such ways as real projects have other methods.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $2 million worth of SHIBA INU bought on: December 08, 2021, 02:50:25 AM
As per the latest update an Ethereum whale has purchased SHIB worth over $2 million, is that why we have seen recovery in the price over last 24 hours? I am wondering whether this will push more users to buy SHIB as there are two reasons why users will buy SHIB, one just because it's recovering and second is the assumption that whenever whales invest into any crypto it would pump hard. Are we being bull trapped again ?
If there is a correction in other currencies, I don't think that shiba will be bullish. Even such a huge purchase is not likely to stimulate people to invest more if they are scared by red market and massive selling. On the other hand, if a whale buy a lot, the price pumps usually, but I don't think that we should expect a very positive movement as for now.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Bitcoin a donation to everyone on: December 07, 2021, 05:09:55 AM
I read on lost Bitcoin today on the coin telegram on the topic of lost Bitcoin and I stopped to wonder what benefits the lost Bitcoin are to every holder, there is no gainsaying how much Bitcoin we have all lost due to one reason or the other some to a wrong address I hard of a guy that lost the private key to a wallet holding about 13,000 Bitcoin and wants to ask should we take such accidents as a donation to Bitcoin holders?
The smaller circulating supply is, the bigger price will be as when something is limited, it has additional value due to this fact. So actually, when someone loses his access to a wallet or just loses Bitcoin someway, they decreases Bitcoin offer and, as a result, the price of Bitcoin will be higher in case that demand remain at the same level.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin The Ultimate access on: December 07, 2021, 05:04:32 AM
As I widen my quest for knowledge on Bitcoin and the entire blockchain network, I discovered that Bitcoin has destroyed the rule of the third party. Transactions have been made easy my personal experience made me discover that Bitcoin is the perfect payment gateway for companies and business for flexible payments across borders.
One of the main idea of creating cryptocurrency was that banks and other intermediates will be excluded and people will get an opportunity to transfer any sum of money to any country or a person they want, so Bitcoin is the best option if you need to send money to other countries as you don't need to make a report to bank on what the reason for this transaction and where you took money frm.
