Can Mintcoin be mined?
Mintcoin is a proof of stake coin. New coins can be created by everyday users that hold mint in their wallets and secure the network with the POS protocol. It's much easier then traditional mining. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Do we have an update for the bootstrap installation instructions? They don't work for my wallet.
The current instructions still apply. The bootstrap works but can take a few days depending on your system. Sometimes the wallet may appear to be frozen but it's likely not, just loading.

Thanks!
It's using 1 134 MB. Should I let it run or bootstrap it?
You can use whichever method you prefer. Both will get you to the same end goal. I wish you a speedy sync. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Sounds like your downloading blocks? Yes, I'm downloading the blockchain(?). Sorry, but not sure if I understand the question. There are 11 connections, and I've been trying for weeks to get up to speed. Does it make sense that at one point there were 197701 blocks remaining and then when the process halts and I restart the wallet, it starts at 828822? The bootstrap crashed the wallet. If your seeing connections and your seeing numbers change then your wallet is likely trying to update. The bootstrap can appear to crash the wallet but that is not usually the case. While it can hog up system resources to make it appear that your wallet has crashed, it's probably still updating. We're working to improve this process as we completely agree that it could run more smoothly. There are additional ways to confirm if the wallet is updating when you think it may be frozen, but it sounds like your wallet may already be trying to update and you should just let it run rather then restarting or interrupting the process otherwise.

I can't get the wallet synchronized. Every time I open it the blocks remaining change:
625840 841766 197701 828822 826116
Sounds like your downloading blocks? Do you see connections in the Debug window? This process could take a few days. You can consider speeding it up a bit with the bootstrap. I'd suggest going outside or focusing on something else while your wallet gets up to speed. Still having issues? You can get more real time support in our Slack channel. http://mintcoin-slack.herokuapp.com

Any updates on the V3.0 wallet ?
Improvements over the V 2.02 wallet ?
Release Date ?
Thanks in advance.
╥AztekPhoenix
The dev team is working towards an eventual 2.1 release, not 3.0. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=450381.msg17678836#msg17678836No release date yet but testing is active and looking promising. We will likely see major improvements in block syncing speed so it'll much easier for new users to get started.

I dont see any development here.
See mintcoin Slack. See GitHub. See mintcoin history thread. And the website is aweful.
Volunteers have donated their time to redesign the new site. What would you like to see? Interested in contributing?Just gambled few btc on mint and i wanna know if my gamble was worth it. Someone explain about development and roadmap please.
No single entity controls the price of mintcoin. Revert to question one for additional info.

I updated my Mint wallet to the 2.0.2 version, it synced, but I have not staked any MintCoins since June 10, 2017 & the wallet is really sluggish, unresponsive most of the time.
Is your wallet unlocked for minting? Are you sending coins from your staking address before it has a chance to mint? Consider that coins must age at least 20 days before they can mint. If you minted on June 10th, that was just 9 days ago.

could you tell me when wallet is fixed?
The current wallet is already working. Did you have questions? Are you receiving errors? We're working on improvements and optimization if your concerned about general performance.

Your error mentioned TestNet. Is it possible you're using the TestNet wallet? The link provided by crzybilly is the official LIVE wallet and NOT the TestNet wallet.

sokol, I'm sure your intentions are honorable here but I must advise users from a security point of view... This link is not endorsed by the mintcoin team, click and use at your own risk. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

The new official mintcoin donation address to support mint infrastructure is at...
MXei5F9RQSBoiUAGV8ayQfwTtnF3dQ2o1P
I hold the current wallet currently but this will be offloaded to a multi-sig system once available to assure improved decentralization.
The wallet is on a dedicated drive/OS/machine which comes online occasionally to mint but otherwise stays offline. This is a base system with limited online exposure. Wallet is encrypted with a strong password. CD-R backup available.
How and when the funds will be spent is up to the donators and community members. Dedicated web page to document the details of community held funds is coming.
My current assumption is that the community will prioritize further wallet development and optimizations.
Mint on my friends.

Is the latest wallet revision 2.0.2.0? I thought I saw a 2.0.2.1 somewhere?
Also, my MINT wallet looks like it's synced, I have 21 active connections to the network but, I get the "out of sync" message. Is there a known problem? If not, is there a known good list of peers? Does it need to be "repaired"?
Latest wallet: https://github.com/MintcoinCommunity/Mintcoin-Desktop-Wallet/releasesYou will know that your mint software is sync'ed once you see a green check mark on the bottom right of your wallet.

Is there an updated list of Addnodes?
You should be able to receive connections if you let the wallet run. Are you not seeing any connections in the debug window? i don't open my wallet for three years.. have i all the time get minting? and get i the coins after i have syn?
You won't see minted coins from that time period that your wallet was offline. Minting requires your wallet to be online and securing the network. You'll want to download the newest wallet and sync fully. Your coins should be available once you've downloaded the chain via the network or with the bootstrap. You can check if your coins are waiting for you by inputing your address(es) into a block explorer.

this was a leading pos coin at one time.... what happened?
any dev team left with actual skills to turn this around or just a hobby coin now with no funding left?
If your curious about mintcoin's history you can check the history thread... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1355523.0Mintcoin has a small volunteer dev team currently working in the background without any funding. This month we released 2 new rare Mint Card collectable paper wallets to all attendees at CoinFestUK 2017. Join us on Slack or irc if you'd like to get involved. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

A few months ago I thought I read a Medium post saying that Airbitz had spoken to the devs about integration. I don’t see this mentioned on the main blog though. Any ideas?
I don't recall any particular news in this regard. It's not something that anyone on the team was involved with as far as I know. Current priorities involve wallet improvements as well as more marketing and further exploration into transparent, charitable earth friendly programs. This month is quite busy for a few team members who have other obligations but I expect next month to be a bit more active. We're always looking for new team members with all sorts of skills. Get involved and help make 2017 more green. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
