Payment sent for 3 extra.

Congratulations to those who got a fourth.

Thank you, Arklan.

-- edit

And also thank you for the spreadsheet revision.

Makes tracking status very clear.

Oh, when can we reasonably expect delivery?
23  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy REOPENED! (previous customers only!) .175 per unit! on: August 10, 2013, 03:05:53 AM
Let me know how many more I can get, Arklan, and I'll send payment for them.

I think that is three, but I'm a bit confused after doing a quick catch-up / scan of the last couple pages.

25  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy REOPENED! (previous customers only!) .175 per unit! on: August 06, 2013, 04:12:25 PM
I'm pretty sure he's just referring to the total on the spreadsheet.
I've been drinking for a few hours now. If I owe any apologies, please point them out.

Best policy is, "step away from the keyboard" after you've been drinking.

But, we know how that sometimes works out. Smiley
Yep. Drink and the keyboard don't mix well.  Embarrassed

Apologies.

I'm now going back to my vids after this intermission.

287 eruptors paid for.  More than half.  Cry  I wanted to buy so so many more.
W. T. F. !

Yeah, I could have pre-paid, requested, a thousand more, too.

But, W.T. F. do you think is fair?   Angry
28  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy REOPENED! (previous customers only!) .175 per unit! on: August 05, 2013, 09:01:58 PM
I am in the first 154 units or no? Cheesy
Well isn't that the question we all want to ask?  Tongue

We'll know when we know.
29  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy REOPENED! (previous customers only!) .175 per unit! on: August 05, 2013, 07:13:42 PM
When you panic I panic.   Undecided
I'm sure he'll post as soon as he has a definite update / certain knowledge.

He has to communicate with friedcat to resolve this.

I doubt the sun is currently shining on friedcat.

IOWs, give it time for cross time zone communications to happen.
30  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy REOPENED! (previous customers only!) .175 per unit! on: August 05, 2013, 05:35:10 PM
arklan, please put me on the list as good for another four more if that option becomes available.

That is, I purchased two in the original buy.

I've already sent payment for the two which I'm qualified due to that.

And this is a request for another four if we end up with not all the original buyers exercising their option.

--

Per the groupbuy spreadsheet, at the moment, every original purchaser who has so far expressed an interest in buying more could buy 3x their original purchase in this 'customer appreciation' purchase and still the gross amount would be within the limit of 512.

IOWs, currently there is a commitment of 161 qualified 'customer appreciation' buys. Three times that is 483 which is less than the 512 limit.

For every original buyer at 2.1, if they were able to buy three more at 0.175, that would bring their average cost per unit down to about 0.65. Pretty close to today's 'retail' price per unit.

Hello!

Can i buy from this group buy at the 0.175 price if i never previously bought from you? Looking at 60 sticks.
And i'm in eu. What was the drill then? need to pay .005 extra /stick for fedex? You can mark them as 8GB usb memory sticks and price them at $5 each right?
And finally, you will get them shipped to you at the 10th? so we are looking at delivery in 2-3 weeks?

Prior customers only.

M

New customers must have a price also! or why is the reason for not allowing new clients?

We paid 2btc each before.  That's why

So maybe your price can be 2.175 or something

Right, then i'd rather buy it in cash for $70.. :/ i'd be interested in 60 pcs if i get it for roughly 0.175.
driksson, you might want to go to the below link where you can get them for 0.60 BTC with free shipping to USA.
https://www.btcguild.com/index.php?page=home

That is the new 'standard' price.
32  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy REOPENED! (previous customers only!) .175 per unit! on: August 03, 2013, 09:52:02 PM
I got 2, how many more can I get?
Zero, at this point.

At this time you can get up to as many as you got in the original group buy.

There *may* be a possibility to get more. That depends on how many of the original buyers exercise this option.

And then how those 'available extras' get distributed is still TBD.

It looks like one of chips is not doing well.

What can I do now to diagnose or fix the problem? Thanks for any ideas.
Have you tried after following this start-up sequence?

  • stop mining software
  • disconnect CM-1 USB cable
  • disconnect USB hub cable to computer
  • power down CM-1
  • power down computer
  • power up / boot computer
  • power down USB hub
  • power up CM-1
  • wait until CM-1 fully stable (or, two solid minutes to be sure)
  • power up USB hub
  • connect USB hub cable to computer
  • connect CM-1 USB cable
  • start mining software

Yeah, it seems pretty nit-picky. But I've had that sequence resolve things for me before.
34  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs shipping 300 units a day on: July 25, 2013, 09:49:26 PM
only hope is that BTC goes back up to $235
Which does no good for those who paid in BTC on assurance of delivery by <date>.

a lot more harder
Is English not your native language, oxfeeefeee?

The question is sincere and not intended to harass you if you have learned English as a second / nth language.

How do we know the hp4 binaries aren't shunting blocks to mikaelh2 and that's why almost no one is getting anything?
Answer: Read the code.

If you can't read the code, you can either:

1) Not play the game

or

2) Depend on the kindness of strangers.

Someone out there is definitely GPU mining, and isn't sharing it. They could 51% the network if they wanted to. :/
Pics or it didn't happen.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: July 14, 2013, 08:41:22 PM
414$ made him 600 blocks, at least 9000 XPM. That's mining costs of 0.046$ or ~0.0005BTC per XPM. Guess it's safe to assume this as the lowest price possible for now.
Ofcourse only a small minority are able to do such a mining operation, just throwing this out, looking for your thoughts.
"Ofcourse only a small minority are able to do such a mining operation"

Uh, no. Anyone who chooses, anyone who thinks of it in time, could / can do this.

"~0.0005BTC per XPM"

Thank you for this calculation. This is the true price floor for the last few day's worth of mining.

Now, who has stated they will buy all that's available at 0.003 or less?
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: July 14, 2013, 08:33:06 PM
so im out the rest is yours Wink

I rest my case.

Oh, but cudo's to you, Aggrophobia.

I never cast opprobrium on one who uses the mechanics of a system to their advantage.

As I've stated, I've finished my mining / trading in this market for a while.

However, for those still actively in the short-term (one to three month) game, looks to me that bouncing off a floor of 0.001 is not at all unreasonable / unexpectable.
