Why didnt they just drop the difficulty to say 1% of the current bitcoin difficulty on the block after the fork then let the difficulty adjust back up to the right value?
Probably expected more support Probably they are not able to change the rules of the game after it has been started Or they are afraid  . They can mine all that blocks for no time if they want I am curious what is stopping them also |

Let alone that it becomes an attack vector. If exchanges are unable to securely receive deposits then the BCash rally is no more. The bubble will pop, volumes will go down and as speculation ends with it being useless as a currency it'll be delisted from exchanges and forgotten. Obviously, till now, miners are not convinced by the speculation in exchanges. 100% Agreed but following coin desk PAID bulshit i found out this... Pick any that has bcc,cash in its name. Right click name and select "Use server" What are the conditions for difficulty decrease ? When will it happen ? The conditions are spelt out here and implemented here. In all likelihood, the first difficulty drop (20%) will happen when block #478576 is generated. We will get additional 20% difficulty drops with blocks #478577, #478578, and #478579. When, if ever, we reach block #478576 is anyone's guess. junan1, Your english is excellent! Getting to block #478576 is key to getting Bitcoin Cash moving.
So check back next month then Assuming the Kwong Wah Mansion advert is over and ViaBTC's pool is the only source of BCH blocks then the total network hashrate is about 68 PHash/s. At this rate it would take us an average of 3.75 days to reach block #478576. It's a shame the surge didn't come 12 hours later. If it had, the difficulty would be down 75% by now. It is a shame that Chinese are not able to play their own game according to their own rules So maybe it is about time more Chinese hash rate to JOIN = BTC Mining LOSS and zero shit gain But if they do believe in 500 USD for BCC/BCH i am wandering what the hell they are waiting for |
