24  Bitcoin / Legal / IRS Bitcoin is Property - Money Laundering Allegations no longer valid? on: April 02, 2014, 07:10:44 PM
Now that the IRS has deemed bitcoin to be "property" and not "currency" surely that means that charlie shrem's & Ross Ulbricht's money laundering allegations are no longer valid?

Jeppe, no such luck this side of the pond im afraid.
I searched high and low for them and any that I could import would not work on our voltage.

I ended up purchasing these: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4250090.htm
a little pricey but removing the stand and bolting them onto the back of the rig keeps the cards cool Wink

27  Economy / Goods / Re: 9ct GOLD Bitcoin - Laser Hallmarked - Assay Certified on: March 21, 2014, 07:22:14 AM
Initially, I could move down to about £200 / $330.
I could move down further in bulk.

Obviously the price is above spot due to the cost involved in minting / assay.

However the more i sell the cheaper they can be produced.

32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers steal data from MtGox server and release it with Mark's reddit account. on: March 09, 2014, 09:02:08 PM
1. There are no hackers and Mark made the leak himself (and did not reveal december, january and february in order to protect the ''thieves'')

On a closely related note to option #1, note that the original post and data dump is still posted on Mark's personal blog, several hours later.  I do find that somewhat suspicious.  It shouldn't have taken particularly long for Mark to notice, and to take corrective action to remove the post and data (assuming he is able).

http://blog.magicaltux.net/

Coulda been sleeping... its like the middle of the night over there.

Because he is too busy moving money, trying to hide his tracks & feeding his face in Starbucks.

I feel sorry for those that lost thousands due to the incompetence of Mark But they knew the risk was there by keeping that much money online on an unregulated exchange with no security to back it up.

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Auroracoin may be the most exciting altcoin of 2014 on: February 28, 2014, 08:34:47 PM
If this concept was even remotely legit the developers would not be hiding behind Whois guards and unknown IDs.

If you buy into this be sure to invest only what you can afford to lose.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] How to rent your rig on LEASERIG.NET - Scrypt & SHA256 on: February 28, 2014, 03:43:43 PM
I get the error: can not execute this binary file?
when trying to run the stratum.

Also anyone know of a solution to add this so it starts up before cgminer within BAMT? and for it to check that its running / restart if not..?

UPDATE: BAMT = 32bit and the provided binary for the stratum is 64bit.

38  Economy / Services / Altcoin Developer Wanted on: February 24, 2014, 08:45:18 PM
I am currently looking for a developer experienced in Scrypt / Scrypt-Jane (nFactor) & KGW to help me create an ALT Coin.

This is for an internal project I'm working on to integrate the technology into a point of sale system.

I am looking for a developer that would be available for future updates and has ideally worked with other members of the forums.

Willing to pay in bitcoin, altcoin or other payment method.

Please inbox me with your previous experience, price, messenger or IRC nick.

Thanks!

Agreed, if the developers were not in on this dump then they should be sticking to the coin and moving forward.
After all there is nothing wrong with the code / coin.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The big VTC Vertcoin settings thread on: February 05, 2014, 05:46:20 PM
I have compiled vertminer into BAMT and have everything running, however my Reject Ratio seems high at about 10-15% is this normal for vertcoin? as when mining anything scrypt based I get 1-2% maximum.

Example:

Total Hash: 1900 Kh/s (5x cards per machine)
Hash: 380 Kh/s per card.

208 total accepted shares
41 total invalid shares
16.466% reject ratio
