21  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading full time on: July 17, 2019, 04:27:41 AM
days ago the price was in the $13000 and see the current price:

Is a very high price drop, even if the person has a good strategy will be inevitable to have losses, now imagine if that person only lives of trade? the person begins to think about the losses, the bills that will have to pay, it's too much pressure. You should not leave a job or business in the real world to just live of trade

Truly Trade losses is unavoidable, however price drop is also a gain in a world of trading

Being full time doesn't necessarily mean sticking up your nose in front of the charts, I actually define it as an equal or much greater achievement of earnings as employed one for a minimal period.

Gain confidence before leaving your work, how's your trade going on with your style will actually make your decisions more firm.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v14.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 08, 2019, 03:51:36 PM
Securing your wallet is owners responsibility, and WTH you are storing your wallet in your mining machine??

Not. On your home computer.

Not in a mining machine eh..

sorry for ur loss, but claymore has nothing to do with it!! JAXX has been hacked before and its never clever to store our crypto in such wallets!!! keyloggers can be infected by many sites/links, and MEGA NZ doesnt have a good rumor either!
But for some reason this happened immediately after downloading Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v14.7

Your Home PC were compromised, Probably that information were already gathered even before downloading CM app, when you run the application it was already confirmed on your PC's open ports. Sorry for the loss
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v14.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 08, 2019, 11:06:08 AM
Claymore is a thief.
First sorry for english because i use google translator.
Claymore is probably not enough to receive a percentage of each miner, now it is stealing a cryptocurrency from the wallet using its Trojan.
I will describe how it all happened:
Download Claymore's Dual Ethereum + Decred / Siacoin / Lbry / Pascal / Blake2s / Keccak AMD + NVIDIA GPU Miner (v14.7). - it was on Saturday (July 6, 2019).
Link took with https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925.0 - DOWNLOAD LINK: MEGA - https://mega.nz/#F!O4YA2JgD!n2b4iSHQDruEsYUvTQP5_w
As always, the antivirus recalled that in the middle of the virus.
Ignored, as in previous times.
And then it began (I kept the cryptocurrency in JAXX).
JAXX - he started himself. I was able to quickly close and delete it, but it did not help.
Stolen:
BTC - 0.17215765
BCH - 0.2061215
ETH - 14.32357433
This is 2 years and 2 months of mining.
I have invested all my savings in 2 farms. I planned to buy an apartment in order to have my own (I waited until ETH would be at $ 1000 - then it would be for a one-room, but my apartment). And now everything.
As I saw that the wallet was empty, my heart almost stopped.
I can not sleep 2 nights.

Securing your wallet is owners responsibility, and WTH you are storing your wallet in your mining machine??

24  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SignalProfits? on: June 21, 2019, 01:03:06 PM
Signal group can be used as reference not the place to rely on to make your trading decision, and I don't feel any used to subscribe to paying signal group, just slowly build your experience and learm the basic steps, it will be more profitable if you learn how to trade by yourself, sometime the result of the signal could be disappointing

Finally nailed it, I'd just couldn't imagine some people are easily judged paid groups as a scam, no not all of them, I've been personally on a paid group and it was to see how do they trade, tricks, tips, educational materials, its I think an easy access on these infos and are feed up to the members.

Might be that I was lucky to be join on a group that promote growth within yourself and not truly rely on their signals.

I am already out of the group to see how much I grow and test the knowledge I've got.

25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling strategy on: June 20, 2019, 05:46:46 AM
People talk about investing in Bitcoin all the time, and by investing they mean buying, but selling is another part of investing, and just as important one. There are many strategies for buying, like buying dips, cost-averaging, buying once in few years and so on - but what about selling?

What's a good selling strategy that maximizes profits and minimizes risks? How to sell as close to ATH as possible?

Its inevitable that when you do trade, selling is another significant part

What I usually do is check on Technicals, one I mostly use is RSI

when it losses strength I go sell

26  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Margin trading victims and how to avoid losses on: June 20, 2019, 05:37:36 AM
STOP-LOSS

This is an issue I was asked about in another thread, but find it appropriate to post the answer here as margin tradins is all about risk and money management

1)   ALWAYS set stop losses (obviously, but still)
2)   The base for your stop is not a book, but the current pattern, market state & your strategy:
-   Look at highs / lows, strong levels
-   Consider volatility
-   And volume
-   Pattern size
3)   Do not link stops to beautiful numbers (8000, 9000 etc). Just calculate it
4)   Calculate possible risk you can afford in advance (this is about the position sizing also, as well as the next point)
5)   Calculate risk-reward ratio in advance

Sometimes I move stop losses to breakeven, but this is a searate issue and should be treated with extremely high attention

Or set your stop loss in a state that invalidates your Trade positions  Wink

I personally move my stop loss when its already in green portfolio state, protecting my gains
27  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Margin trading victims and how to avoid losses on: June 18, 2019, 12:00:25 PM
Yes, I anticipated the risk of this type of transaction and it was really dangerous for new people. You know, there's something called whale signal. When so many people place money at a certain price, exchange exchange companies will notify whales and they can manipulate the price of BTC back and many traders are not aware of this.
it is completely a trap and it is not for inexperienced people. I will never engage in margin trading because it is a whale game.

Yes. Interesting point. Have you had an experience of margin trading?
Personally I cannot resist such a temptation. But tread margin trading carefully. This way, it is not so dangerous.

There are actually ways to go with temptations wisely

The key is Proper risk management

Protect your fund by setting up stop losses, Lower Leverage, Look at Risk Reward ratio if its worth entering a positions

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How much revenue can I make with these GPUs on: May 22, 2019, 09:29:44 AM
Why is alt more profitable? And how much will I be making?

Simple answer to your question is here Wink
Original topic i quoted from is  HERE

I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY NEWBIES KEEP ASKING THE SAME QUESTION " ITS TO LATE TO START MINING , IT IS STILL PROFITABLE ? WHY MY EARNING IS LESS THAN ALL THOSE ONLINE CALCULATORS TELLING ME? WHAT IS THE BEST COIN TO MINE ? WHAT IS THE MOST PROFITABLE COIN TO MINE"

No one can tell you !
Always going to be a 2 group of ppl who telling you it's ok go for it , or dont bc you just wasting ur money and time !
You have to make a decision for yourself !
Do your own research !
No one can tell you for sure what's going to happen with cryptocurrency !
No one can tell you it's going to be profitable for you or not !
No one can tell you how much profit you going to be able to make ! ( if you can make any at all )
No one can tell you the ROI ( return of investment) time !
No one can tell you what is the best coin to mine !
No one can tell you what is the most profitable coin to mine! Coins profitability always changing, what is best to mine today, maybe going to be the worst to mine tomorrow !
None of those calculators you are seeing on the web can tell you what's coming tomorrow , months later or 6 months later !
Those calculators telling you about today , at that moment when you typing in your information !
None of those online calculators calculating pool luck !
None of those online calculators calculating your stale/rejected or invalid shares !
None of those online calculators able to predict difficulty growth !
None of those online calculators can predict what would be the coin/$ exchanges rates a minutes later, a hour later,  tomorrow, next week,  months later, 6 months later or a year later !
It's little bit of gambling , you must to decide you want to play on the lottery or not  Grin
YES some of us got lucky , made some money with mining
YES some of us got unlucky , lost some money , bc when price started to fall , sold they coins , miners...

! INVEST ONLY WHAT YOU'RE WILLING AND ABLE TO LOSE !
! INVEST WITH THE UNDERSTANDING , THAT YOU COULD LOSE EVERYTHING !

Still the most useful Thread for newb, on more than 1 year old thread:-)

Glad to be here again

Don't fall for any scammy apps out there claiming it could mine a certain sats for just tapping an ads or opening them

Mining BTC is not for phones..

Youre just wasting time, energy, and worst could steal your phones information

32  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep proper distance but not losing passion on: February 22, 2019, 01:21:19 PM

What is said above is normal steps of learning. However, most people probably have no chance to follow the steps to learn. For my part, the actual situation is as follows:

1. I just entered the market, I don’t know much, I don’t care much, I’m lazy, and I look at the market table occasionally. (In fact, this is a bit of a state of "unintentional")

2. Suddenly one day, I felt that the opportunity to enter the market came. I went to buy stocks (or emptied) (because I was "unintentional", it was easier to find real and big opportunities to enter.)

3. After a little bit of sweetness, I want to learn more (in fact, I want to learn more short-term operation knowledge), to see if I can "frequently operate" so that I can make more money (this is greed, then I began to lose the realm of "unintentionality" and entered the world of deliberate creation. This heart is a delusional heart, no longer pure.)

4. When I realized that I was going in the wrong direction, I made up my mind to jump out of small places, small details, small short lines, and small patterns. I wanted to find my original heart back, which was pure and kind.

5. Then I got rid of weed and kept the flower of the leek. I returned to the state of “lazy” when I first entered the stock market, but that was only the surface. The correct knowledge was ready.

6. While waiting for the next opportunity, I will not ask for it, I will not be anxious, and I will not lose my heart. Because I have forgotten that I am waiting (ahh, I envy this kind of relaxing life)

7. The opportunity is coming... "The god of opportunity will come knock my door" - if you are ready, you will hear the ringtone. You don't need to listen every night, every minute, every second. When the opportunity comes, you will know and naturally act.

I respect your conclusion and opinion

However for my own perspective, part of being successful in every ways is to establish an effective knowledge foundation built by intensive learning, experience and mistakes or success

If the foundation is not yet strong, there is no time for Laziness

You can relax when your portfolios are far more greener than reds in bear market

Hello,

I am beginner and I try to configure a small rig with 2 GPU.
Everything looks ok and configure (ok driver, virtual memory ok ...). As soon as I launch a minor (claymore, xmr_-stack, minergate, nicehash ...), the scrolling script and then nothing.
Do you have idea or a research track?

thank you in advance

Floemus

Sorry, what do you mean by Scrolling script? could you possibly post a screen cap?
34  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Stop loss feature in Exchanges on: January 09, 2019, 01:19:22 AM
Honestly I have been in crypto for 6+ years now and last month was the first time I have ever used stop loss. I am more into trading methods right now than I have ever been because I have already made my profit and take it out so I am basically trading with profits only and that means I can lose all of it and still be fine with it since its quite low amount and not my own money (well it is mine but it feels like not mine) hence long story short it feels like its fine for me to test these things out.

I tested stop loss at 3900 recently and it went under it and it sold it and I rebought it at 3600ish levels, I am really happy with that because we know the trend levels of bitcoin right now and if you move accordingly it is quite easy to make profits. Now I put a sale at 4150 which is about the max we reach (around 4200 or so but I didn't want to risk it) and put another stop loss at 3900 again. Lets see which one will happen.

That's how it should play it

Price actions always reversed, so protecting your investment with triggered sell will do the trick rather than hold and watching your portfolio lower its value

however, you should know what you're doing to not be eaten up by frequent stoploss and will start FOMO upon price pump
35  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without losses? on: January 07, 2019, 01:34:17 PM
If you want no loss at all then it's impossible. All jobs have risks but at least you can minimize losses for example not taking a lot of profit. maybe only 5-10%. or you have to divide into several parts to back up. You must focus and be consistent when taking profit, don't be too greedy
of course every job has a risk mate, even being an employee there is a risk like being fired. especially in investment, of course the risk of loss is a natural thing in investing or trading. all you can do is minimize that risk, such as ripening your skills, understanding the market, not being greedy (don't take profits too high) and etc. losses are common thing in trading..

Risk Management is the key

And honestly its not an easy task

Little by little you may achieved it, however losing a trade is inevitable
