You can't use any of those logos as they're not licensed under Creative Commons, hon.  Sad

So the images you are using have CC licenses attached? I asked above but you might have missed it.
Can you give us some examples of the logos you want to use?
Thanks hon.

-Zoey
Not sure what you mean as I have alot.

That's fine. Just give us 5 examples of the logos you're going to use. Are they from popular brands like Coca-Cola? Is the BitCoin logo on there?

Just some examples hon!

Do you have problems with reading comprehension or something?  The very site you use as a reference clearly states that a creative commons licence is issued by the creator or rights holder of a work.  A free culture licence is the least restrictive of the creative commons licences but you can only reproduce something under a CC licence if the author has chosen to licence it that way.  There are 6 different types of CC licence and not all of them allow commercial use of a work even when it is a CC licensed work.

General lawyers know shit all about IP law.  If the lawyers you've consulted have actually read anything about creative commons licensing rather than just relying on your total misinterpretation of how it works, then they would know damned well that only the creator or the rights holder of the work can licence it under CC.

The only works which you can use in the manner you intend to use them are those where the creator/rights holder has chosen to make those works available under a free culture licence or those which are public domain.  You can't just use anyone's logo or trademark - the person who owns that IP has to specifically make it available under CC and they get to decide whether you can modify it in any way or use it commercially.

You can search for public domain images here.

http://www.public-domain-image.com/

There are multiple places you can search for CC images.

You seem to have a history of not grasping IP issues, whether in relation to TaleSpin, your movie theatre restoration project, or using images owned by others to make guitar picks you intend to sell.
It's funny you mention those... Anyhow, did you read the entire cc past the summary? If you did, you'd also see that as a curtisy, I would ask the image holder permission to release the work under that license, which I have done with most of the images planned on being used for full art picks and some of the logos. No one's told me no yet either. I believe this project will stick, even if their not bought by users of this forum. That's the main point.

So the images you are using have CC licenses attached? I asked above but you might have missed it.

Can you give us some examples of the logos you want to use?

Thanks hon.

Anybody can reach that level of consciousness, everyone is god.  It just takes the will to lose your ego.

What it takes is to lose sanity.

Sanity is perspective. Smiley

Do you provide loans? I know this is a joke or whatever, but I'm actually looking to borrow some BTC in order to take time off of work so I can develop my low cost ASIC mining hardware. I've come up with a pretty neat algorithm that could shave a lot of time off of the mining process.

I thought you were the real deal Dank. I'm really hoping you're not an elaborate troll. It's not nice to mock things that people believe.  (The way the universe works and so on. I shared some personal stuff with you in a PM and I'm afraid you're just laughing at me.)

I have EMT-Paramedic training hon and I've worked at concerts. I even worked at a Beck concert once! When you have large crowds of people, accidents happen. Even if some of the concert goers are trained medical personnel, we can't just run in and help. Unlike civilians, trained medics and doctors aren't covered under Good Samaritan laws. If something happens after we give aide we're open to a lawsuit.  Angry

You really need logistics covered hon. You can't just do this on a whim with free love hon.

-Zoey
I promise you, I mean every word I say.

Okay, I just worry is all. I really, honestly want to see this be a success hon. But there's so little time! Shocked

If anyone can pull it off though, I guess it's you. Have you made any more progress?

I know someone with enough land for it here in Virginia, but it's all trees and you'd have to clear it all, which would take months I imagine. I guess you could always sell the timber and use that to help fund the concert?

Aww Dank, I thought you were serious hon. But after hearing you just hand wave what Ant has to say away, I'm really disappointed. Sad

You really do need medics hon, what if someone falls? What if they get lacerations? It's not about someone getting sick, it's about someone having an accident.

consciousness is an illusion as is so called "reality".  we are a part of a grand simulation and don't even know it.

Quote
The formal version of the argument requires some probability theory, but the underlying idea can be grasped without mathematics. It starts with the assumption that future civilizations will have enough computing power and programming skills to be able to create what I call “ancestor simulations”. These would be detailed simulations of the simulators’ predecessors—detailed enough for the simulated minds to be conscious and have the same kinds of experiences we have. Think of an ancestor simulation as a very realistic virtual reality environment, but one where the brains inhabiting the world are themselves part of the simulation.

The simulation argument makes no assumption about how long it will take to develop this capacity. Some futurologists think it will happen within the next 50 years. But even if it takes 10 million years, it makes no difference to the argument.

Let me state what the conclusion of the argument is. The conclusion is that at least one of the following three propositions must be true:

    1. Almost all civilizations at our level of development become extinct before becoming technologically mature.

    2. The fraction of technologically mature civilizations that are interested in creating ancestor simulations is almost zero.

    3. You are almost certainly living in a computer simulation.

How do we reach this conclusion? Suppose first that the first proposition is false. Then a significant fraction of civilizations at our level of development eventually become technologically mature. Suppose, too, that the second proposition is false. Then a significant fraction of these civilizations run ancestor simulations. Therefore, if both one and two are false, there will be simulated minds like ours.

If we work out the numbers, we find that there would be vastly many more simulated minds than nonsimulated minds. We assume that technologically mature civilizations would have access to enormous amounts of computing power.

So enormous, in fact, that by devoting even a tiny fraction to ancestor simulations, they would be able to implement billions of simulations, each containing as many people as have ever existed. In other words, almost all minds like yours would be simulated. Therefore, by a very weak principle of indifference, you would have to assume that you are probably one of these simulated minds rather than one of the ones that are not simulated. (New Scientist, 2006)

even so a form of reincarnation may exist.  i recall too distinct lives at least.  i don't recall anything specific about the previous simulations, only impressions.  one was a joker with a hard childhood and the other with the generous soul of an artist.

the views expressed here are interesting, i may consider investing here in the future.

If we're a simulation, what's not to say the level above us is not a simulation as well? And so on. You run into a regression problem of the infinite nature!

Why won't you nerd trolls leave dank alone? You're just adding doubt which is the last thing he needs. Why not wait until the end of the year? You'll all see.

Heck, I'll be rich by then and just fund his concert myself. Just to show you sad trolls, and for the benefit of bringing man-kind together for an important message.

Seriously, don't you have anything better to do?

-Zoey

Zoey,

I understand you are a troll account, but have you read this entire thread?  Dank believes anyone who has a physical or mental handicap deserves it i.e. they are too mentally weak to cure themselves.   Dank believes he has the cure for cancer.

Do you support that belief?

First, I'm not a troll account. I'm a 28 year old VT graduate working on cryptographic hardware.

Secondly, I have seen some of those posts brought up and I think you are all twisting his words. I believe the brain can heal the body if programmed right. This means that HIV and cancer could, in theory, be cured through meditation or a proper dose of DMT if you have the right mindset (i.e. program) going in. The placebo effect is scientific proof of this.

You know, in WW2 a solider was going to have his leg amputated in the field and they had run out of morphine. The solider was instead given a saline injection and told it was morphine. His body responded by introducing endorphins (endogenous morphine) into his system, in high levels. He felt no pain, as if injected by morphine.

So, open your mind a little.

It sounds like Kurt Cobain playing Mary Had a Little Lamb to me...  Huh

Not sure what the issue is?

-Zoey

I actually dug up Cobain's corpse yesterday and repeatedly beat him over the head with a guitar using the amp (with way too much clipping) as an anvil while singing Mary Had A Little Lamb. It sounded exactly like this.

It's not nice to speak ill of the dead this way.  Angry

He may have had a problem with heroin, but it's not as big of a deal as people think it is. That's just what made him who he is. He had stomach problems too, which I'm sure the H helped a great deal. Quite a few of us have been there with regards to opiates.

While I'm sure SEC agent is a troll, you might want to change the name, dank. I see a lot of activity with Nefario et al in regards to a possible real SEC investigation. When they come for him, I'm sure they'll do a sweep of this forum. Even though I doubt they'll do anything to you (they have bigger fish to fry), might not want to add fuel to the fire hon.

Not multiple universes.  The universe comprises everything, so there can only be one of everything (except alternate realities/dimensions).

String theory allows the possibility of multiple universes.  However, there is still only one reality.

Each multiverse has its own unique reality in that case.

Don't be a daft punk, Rarity. That's clearly a Grunge interpretation of Mary Had a Little Lamb that dank is playing. If you can't hear that then you're tone deaf.

I have been lurking BTC for awhile and have seen this thread a few times. I've read the first and last 10 or so pages. Care to point out some of these "statements" you have issue with?

You may have done DMT, but have you ever had a breakthrough dose? I've done it a handful of times through IV injection and have had a breakthrough dose each time. I have seen what's on the other side, have you?

I'm not young. I am, however, a traveler of both this physical world and dimensions outside of it. What are your credentials to make such claims?
40  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Dank Bank Deposits - dank soul guarantee - 1.2%-2.0% weekly - New music 10/8 on: October 10, 2012, 01:10:46 AM
Listen guys, religion is based on the understanding of the world to the people at the time. All prophets from major religions are "travelers" just like dank and I. However, we know a lot more about the world today and are able to apply it correctly.

All major religions have a little bit of truth to them, so it's smart to pick and choose. I think Buddhism has come closest to the truth. When Buddha obtained Enlightenment to realized that reality (life) is an illusion. All of this is literally what we make it. We are in control.

So it's no doubt to me that dank will be a Rock God by the end of the year. If he wants it enough, it will happen, from his perspective. That's the great thing about the quantum multiverse, everything that can ever happen, will happen. It's just a matter of willing the correct perspective.

That's the best laymans way I can describe it, but trust me, it's true. Just wait, you'll see.
