21  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble Top Mania, Sell Today!!! on: August 22, 2017, 02:57:25 PM
There is a nearly 100% chance that BTC will trade at lower prices sometime in the near future.
you have already failed miserably in your first couple of words!
there is no 100% chance with bitcoin, specially when it comes to speculating a drop. the only chance is seeing a correction. it can be tomorrow from $4300 to $3900 or it can be a month from now from $6500 to $5900

~ have the guts to keep buying when prices are down 80% and the masses are panic selling every day.
you either are full of it or have no idea what 80% drop means!
at $4300 a 80% drop means going down to $900, you can only see that kind of drop in your dreams.

That is right. I will start buying a lot when the price is $3000.

In the past month, Bixin has sent giveaways from the Stellar and Byteball team which worth more than one million USD to our users and thus has gained an excellent reputation.

Guys, don't buy high from these parasites on aug 7.

I agree with that. People should withdraw their bitcoins from there.

I am doing Dual Mining for 3 days.

My Rig normally gives me 300-350$ Only ETH mode in one Month

Using ETH + SC it gives me extra +50/60$

Is there any more profitable Dual mining ?

Did you deduct the extra electricity used?
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: July 15, 2017, 05:41:32 AM
I had a look at the transition page to see the amount of bitcoins linked. It has dropped from 949k during the previous round to 819k currently.
Looks like people have moved their bitcoins around quite a bit. Or maybe some have sold out their coins due to the current uncertainty.

Do you think they sold for the fiat. It seems most coins are dropping now.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.6 (Windows/Linux) on: June 26, 2017, 05:48:42 PM
Hi guys what are you guys getting on Eth / LBRY?

Im getting 1070

29 MH/s ETH  and 28 MH /s LBRY

and 1080 Ti

36 MH/Sec ETH amd 35 MH/s LBRY

is this normal? My 1080 TI can do 520 MH/s LBRY solo. #5 seems really low unless its using the same part of GPU to mine ETH?

Is there a better coin to mine with more performance you'd recommend?
LBRY doesn't dual mine well, you end up losing eth speed easily. Nvidia cards also arent as good as AMD for dual mining.  CM says he is working on an ASM kernel for dual mining LBRY, 2x speedup for LBRY, but AMD only.

Here is site for checking profits, for Nvidia, generally LBRY and Zec on top, dual mining eth/sia next, depends on cards, 1080/TI aren't as effective at Eth due to GDDR5X.

www.whattomine.com

Thanks for the reply, so my results are normal?

I really hope the Nvidia cards get optimized for dual a bit more.

Its true 1080 TI ROI is a bit longer, but its a beast of a card. I just need to figure out where to point its power. It does 36 MH/s in eth solo  and 520 MH/s in just LBRY solo.

What is the speed for dual mining?
26  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Will Bitcoin hit $ 500,000 by 2030? on: June 10, 2017, 07:31:04 PM
We couldn't even predict that bitcoin will reach $2800 so fast in 2017. How we can predict BTC price in 13 years?
One is certain - it is no impossible for bitcoin to reach $500,000 at some point. All we need is another massive global economy crisis.
There might be dollar or eurozone collapse in the near future too, after crash of that magnitude bitcoin will skyrocket to the moon.

I expect the bitcoin price to rise 40-100% every year for the next 10 years, so $500,000 is very possible.
27  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: May 28, 2017, 04:51:03 PM
I will not sell the bitcoin at the moment, as its value is rising strongly even in Korea the price of a bitcoin is up to $ 4,500 and even has a tendency to increase. At this point, the purchase of bitcoin will be profitable for a long time

that is true. I have hold the bitcoin for the last 4 years. I think the bitcoin has just been known by the genral public. The price will rise a lot.
28  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: May 11, 2017, 11:05:35 AM
I've started selling some of the balance I have. Because I think selling at $1500 is very profitable for me. I am also optimistic that bitcoin will probably break through $2000. But on bitcoin, I'm looking for profits to add my bank account balance.

The price of bitcoins is really good at a moment so if you have bought  your bitcoins at low price in the past then I think this is the best time to sell some of them and collect the profits and rest should be saved till the end of the year as it is predicted that price of bitcoin will hit $2k in the end of this year.
Yes, really it is a good idea. We can make it sure that yes we earned from it and even if God forbid the prices go down we will have no regret that we didn’t get any profit from it when the prices were high so just to be on a safe hand enjoy the profit and invest the capital in the alts if you find it can benefit you more at this time.

God decides the life only. lol, There is no more bitcoin forking in the price chart for sure. Bitcoin price is continuously increasing in the from the starting of this month. Altcoin investments would be bad for bitcoin according to me, many financial investments companies and corporates plans to create a new altcoin. Therefore, This would impact the bitcoin's price and potential for sure in future.

If the block size of the bitcoin is not increased a lot, the transaction will be slow and that will drive users to other coins.

@Claymore - So when VEGA comes out, will you need to update your miner or do you think they will work out of the box?  Thanks!

I think he does not know until the new VGA is out.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.0 (Windows/Linux) on: April 12, 2017, 12:05:42 PM
Claymore, run some test on rx480 to fix the fluctuation problem on rx480 cards.

I use stock cards for tests. Yes at some dcri value I can see memory controller load deviations in GPU-Z, it's about 90% but then it's 65% for a few seconds. For my Nitro+ 480 I see it at "-dcri 47". Try to increase -dcri value a bit, for me "-dcri 50" is stable.
Of course your values will be different if you use different card/bios/clocks.

Yes it is stable with dcri 50, however it decreases eth hashrate in greater amount.
Instead, if possible could you please double check miner code and see if miner works stable, without sacrificing ETH hashrate? For me "-dcri 30" is the most for ETH >> 29.3 ETH, 875 DCR but when using this value, gpus randomly have memory controller load deviations in GPU-Z, and this is seen through miner console. As a result lower effective hashrate is calculated on pool.

What if you use "-dcri 35"?

This thread is long and I am new to your miner. What does the -dcri value do? Right now my startup script (copied from Nanopool) does not have this value set.

The higher the -dcri value, the higher the DCR results but the ETH results will be lower.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: April 04, 2017, 04:56:36 PM
This time I chose to do the holding. and if you do not have bitcoin then now is the right time to buy bitcoin.
many predictions mention that the price of bitcoin will rise significantly. we can benefit if we right decision.
yeah its really a good to hold your bitcoin because bitcoin price is very much good and a lot of people are investing their money in bitcoin so demand is increase so bitcoin price will be more increase so hold bitcoin is much more profitable.
try to use all the money you have. do not ever interested in selling at this time. you need patience much stronger this time. bitcoin price certainly attracted us to invest there. This is an opportunity to gain a huge advantage. we continue to be optimistic to expect a significant price increase.
Expecting another good news will come from japan, In my speculation if that will push the price of bitcoin again. $1200++ is very rational at this time. I hope there will no dubp person or trader try to sell his bitocin at this time. I wonder how the japan will make co-op with the bitcoin itself. The japanese decision will become the great way for the bitcoin.

I thought the news already come about not paying consumer tax?
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v8.1 (Windows/Linux) on: March 28, 2017, 02:11:31 PM
for custom rom the ethcoin

i need maximum gpu speed and less speed at memory or not?Huh??

It depends on your GPU. If you use the RX 480 or 470, the memory speed should be very fast.
33  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: March 06, 2017, 08:07:31 AM
I am also thinking of selling a few but will wait for the SEC decision on the ETF this week and how it will affect price movement. I hope this pushes the price even higher and if that will be the case, I’ll just continue to hold and wait for the price to reach $1500, which isn’t too far off now, given how much the price has climbed over the last two months or so.

If there is no approval, the price might drop. But it will rise in the long term.
34  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: February 25, 2017, 11:47:45 AM
I should sell now, because ETF will be dissaproved. Just wait 2 weeks. Then buy  again.

Do you think the price rise is due to ETF only?
35  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: January 06, 2017, 11:56:27 AM
Yeah I doubt that. Why? What would trigger a crash in 2016? People claim there's gonna be a crash every year.

Yeah I'm skeptical about this overly dramatic doomsday crash as well, but I did read about there being a similar crash (2008/09 housing) related to car financing coming up, probably not as intense. We'll see though. I think the ETF things the Winklevoss are trying to spearhead will have a large affect on bitcoin price this year though.

2008/2009 crash is caused by subprime mortgage.
36  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: December 23, 2016, 11:47:57 AM
I see many people in this thread stating that if the value of the US dollar collapsed, then the value of bitcoin would increase.  However, I don't see how those two events are inversely related.  In my mind, if bitcoin were functionally tied directly to the exchange of goods and services, then that statement might be true, but I don't think that is the case.  The value of bitcoin seems to be directly tied to the value of the world's fiat currencies and indirectly tied to the exchange of goods and services.  So, if the value of the US dollar crashed, then the value of bitcoin would crash proportionately.  How would the purchasing power of bitcoin increase (in terms of good and services) if the US dollar declined in value?

If the value of dollar collapse, people will use bitcoin more, so the bitcoin value will rise due to more adoption.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zcash 10$ +/- on: December 18, 2016, 11:40:57 AM
I agree that he will drop the price of $ 10 for half a year

May not be so if it is used in some way.
38  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: November 27, 2016, 08:48:38 AM
I don't believe at this that some countries or in west country are going to be banned bitcoin and they're not going to adopt bitcoin anymore they started a legacy and then removing it? How come because there goverment don't want this coin is that what you meant? Hmm i don't see any reason that big crash will going to hit bitcoin soon we are on the top right now and then fall apart?

The bitcoin is an ordinary commodity like iphone or other digital goods. If it is banned, then many things will be banned.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zcash 10$ +/- on: November 21, 2016, 06:16:45 PM
The cost of the ZCash investors are about $15.2. I think it should have strong support around $20 range.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Ethereum actually the only cryptocurrency worth GPU mining? on: October 27, 2016, 05:54:01 PM
I heard the SIAcoin is most profitable to mine at the moment. But the Etheruem difficulty  is still rising.

It's not profitable at all. I mine it using claymore's miner while dual mining, but just mining Sia alone is a waste. 1000 Sias are worth 0.52cts currently...at 1.4Gh/s, it takes me 2-3 days to round up 5000 of those, def not worth it, only if you have free electricity maybe.

However, once Sia get their software a bit more user-friendly and do some more advertising, they could become the new dropbox and be worth a lot more than now. I personnaly keep my Sias for the time being.

You are right. With the increase of the difficulty in the past month, if the trend continues, it will not be profitable soon.

It does not matter too much. We will have the ZCash to mine in the next 5 days. That could make somebody rich.

Maybe if some of the massive farms can instamine some blocks, but the dev team at Zcash is taking steps to minimize that as much as possible.

The 3 leaders in profit will be Zcash, Etc/Eth and I think it is probably best at this point anyway to let the corporate outfits fight over Zcash mining.  That will mean hash rate reductions in etc/eth.  It is also likely this massive amount of GPU's added over the past month were for the mining of Zcash so that is essentially 75'000 GPU's ready to hammer Zcash and possible even more if the coin sells for a large amount.

Just remember to cash out all your coins before then in case eth/etc price dumps to buy up Zcash coins.

I agree with that. The Ethereum price is dropping now. It might be due to the fact that people are selling to get bitocin to buy ZCash.
