21  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did we actually really land on moon? on: September 28, 2019, 06:26:08 PM
I don't know if we landed on the moon or not but there is certainly it's technology today and they're also with the technology at that time to recreate the moon landing video exactly how it looked broadcast on television. using Hollywood studios or government studios, they would have been able to recreate the event with the technology of the day... So we can say for sure if they landed on the moon, unless we were involved in that intelligence operation.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to set recurring BTC buys, without a lot of fees? on: September 28, 2019, 06:24:24 PM
Coinbase lets you set recurring buys of BTC (daily, weekly, monthly.) but their fees are ridiculous.
Coinbase Pro has much lower fees, but no ability to do this.

I want to dollar cost average in. Is there a way to use Coinbase Pro API to set recurring buys?
Or is there a better solution? (Doesn’t have to be coinbase)

Can someone please give me some advice. Thanks.

I was wondering if there is a solution to make instant buys from fiat to bitcoin but didn't find any better than you stated above.
What I could advise you, is to make a deposit of a big amount at once, buy a stablecoin and then purchase bitcoin, in different time of period. The exchange fees in this situation are much lower.

This is my thinking
Deposit a lot of fiat and buy at regular intervals in smaller amounts. Yes, it's a bit more effort, but there is also a benefit to buying manually so i can review every transaction before making it.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will China Accept Bitcoin As A Currency? on: September 28, 2019, 06:12:48 PM
maybe or maybe not, we can't tell the future. However, China's electricity cost is so low that many Chinese citizens have made lots of money, because mining is more profitable with or electricity costs. However, I have heard that they stopped allowing mining. Maybe the government doesn't want citizens to have this control.
24  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: time to change BTC to ETH? on: September 28, 2019, 06:10:26 PM
I think ETH has much more potential upside than Bitcoin because Bitcoin is already ahead of the game and when people put their money into the market, they will put more money into altcoins like ETH, etc. also when you compare the peak of the previous bold runs, etah is down significantly more than Bitcoin relatively.
25  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Initial Offerings Overpriced? on: September 28, 2019, 05:00:11 PM
Initial offerings AR sometimes overpriced and sometimes extremely underpriced. If you get lucky, and there is a good team behind an initial offering, then you can make a significant profit. However, if the initial offering is shady or possibly a scam then it's possible that the founders made dump their coins after launching on an exchange, and you will lose all you invested.
26  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has no practical use and could be damaging to the economy! on: September 28, 2019, 04:58:58 PM
The practical use of Bitcoin is to make the transaction of money more free and liberating. Instead of letting institutions decide what we do with our money, people will have more control to spend and transact without issues.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fell again, what conspiracy? on: September 28, 2019, 04:56:32 PM
just because Bitcoin fell a lot in one day doesn't mean there's a conspiracy. It can rise and fall because the market is still relatively low compared to other global markets like stocks derivatives etc. actually there are many billionaires who can sway the price of Bitcoin significantly with their own personal wealth if they wanted.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: September 28, 2019, 04:33:01 PM
Bitcoin ATMs are an extremely important infrastructure of Bitcoin. The reason they are important to the infrastructure of Bitcoin is because they offer the same thing that Fiat ATMs offer for Fiat money. we can get Fiat money by walking down the street and getting the nearest ATM to withdraw some cash from our bank account, but until today Bitcoin ATMs are rare.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best online wallet for privacy on: September 28, 2019, 04:31:57 PM
the best online wallet for privacy is called Samurai wallet. It is a technology built so that you have anonymous be with your transactions so that you cannot be traced by the government for example. Maybe this will help criminals to evade taxes, but it it  is also good for general privacy the average citizen.

Im pretty sure old timers are already experienced with how the bitcoin market flows. Fear always holds those whom are beginners and those old timers are fearless in holding. Holding is the number one key to success mateys so trust the experts and hold. Btc has been through a lot of downs and most people took this as an advantage. Now look how much they profited now.

Yeah, the best thing is buying and holding, because it is nigh impossible to predict the price. better off holding and also it's much less stress because day trading is too stressful.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: September 28, 2019, 04:08:11 PM
The Bitcoin community is the largest by far, and the technology of Bitcoin is the most developed... It is 5 years ahead of any other cryptocurrency, and this is why Bitcoin is still dominating the crypto-currency market.
32  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell btc on: September 28, 2019, 04:05:54 PM
Hi everyone, I am a newbie. I find myself with about a btc and I would like to sell, but I don't know what the right moment is .. tips?
for beginners like you. You can easily check prices on different exchanges and think whether you are satisfied if you want to sell now. consider current market prices, initial capital, profit targets. You should look at market conditions if it is still declining the right choice is save.

You should always sell at the top and buy at the bottom, because of you buy at the top and saw the bottom, you will lose the maximum amount of money. You have to buy Bitcoin when it is low, and so when it is at the peak.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: September 28, 2019, 03:34:35 PM
Day trading is a risky proposition in the cryptocurrency space. the swings are so large that you never know what is going to happen on a day-to-day basis. It could be that the price Rose then you sold only to lose all your money because you were trying to get a 1% profit, but you have to buy it at a higher price because you made a mistake.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are we really investing in bitcoin? on: September 28, 2019, 03:33:18 PM
Is the service and profitability, even if bitcoin is highly volatile, are the only two reasons why bitcoin is attractive to investors? Any good opinions or answers? Thanks
The two are one of the key factors why bitcoin is attractice to investors, anonimity is one too. There are some people I know that uses bitcoin just for transaction and not for profitability in trading,we have our own reasons on why we are investing into such thing

indeed, one of the original attractive features of Bitcoin was the anonymity it provided to criminals and drug dealers on the Silk road to deal drugs without getting caught by government agencies.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this why Bitcoin is crashing? on: September 28, 2019, 03:32:06 PM
I don't know if that's why Bitcoin is crashing but if you look at the chart it went up a lot recently, so maybe it makes sense that we need a price correction before we go to the Moon!
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BAKKT launching tomorrow but BTC price falls? on: September 28, 2019, 03:18:45 PM
I must admit I thought the price was going up after BAKKT launch but apparently it's going down. It just needs a few more months before we sky rocket to the moon.
37  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Make it back to $20k ? on: September 28, 2019, 03:16:57 PM
The chance of Bitcoin not making it back to 20k are slim to none. The entire crypto infrastructure relies upon Bitcoin to this day, and it maintains a near 70% dominance rates which is incredible considering how many major cryptos there are now.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fun stuff to do with bitcoin? on: April 22, 2019, 02:42:43 AM
I remember the first years of bitcoin's life. There were so many things to do and learn: mining, faucets, wallets, blockchain visualizations, etc.

Nowadays the bitcoin world is pretty boring: mining is for people with deep pockets, faucets don't exist anymore, wallets are getting centralized by big corporations (blockchain.com, coinbase, etc.).

Is there anything fun left to do with bitcoin, any specific application, website, app, anything that will make bitcoin fun and interesting again? Otherwise I just keep on holding and that's it.
the thing that makes bitcoin fun is that you can still take a vacation and make any kind of payment when going on vacation without having bother to exchange the currency of your home country to the currency of your destination where your vacationing country supports the payment system using bitcoin. And in some Southeast Asian states, bitcoin payments start to appear when vacation

And as the Bitcoin infrastructure continues growing and we will be able to make more payments have more places not only online but also in person and it will happen before the year 2030 mark my words because Bitcoin is unstoppable
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY PEOPLE GET SCAMMED DURING ICO? on: November 03, 2018, 07:23:39 PM
That is because it is part of humans to always want to make more, they may be offered an ico with a lesser potential return on investment but since people are greedy they are always going to want to go for the ones with the absurd numbers, so they are always falling for the scams. A lot of people do not think or do any research before they start investing in coins
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How long will bounty programs stay with us? on: November 03, 2018, 07:17:45 PM
As long as there are coins coming into the market everyday which are doing icos then there is always going to be bounties because bounties are a very cost effective way for the projects to promote their coins to the best possible investors. Bounties have always being effective in helping an ico do well so they are always going to be needed to help market the coins
