That's a weird reply considering that AV claims they did not acquire AM as a whole company, only some of their assets. Here's what they posted on reddit: Dear r/bitcoin, Over the weekend an r/bitcoin community member shared a poor experience with Amagi Metals. There was also some speculation that this poor experience was a result of Amagi Metals being acquired by Anthem Vault. We would like to clarify these issues. Anthem Vault did not purchase Amagi Metals, Inc. , although we did recently purchase some of Amagi Metals' assets. However, Amagi Metals still operates as an independent company and Anthem Vault is not responsible for any Amagi Metals’ orders, inventory, or customer service. We reached out to Amagi Metals’ CEO, Stephen Macaskill, to determine the validity of the accusations made in the r/bitcoin conversation. Based upon our communications with Mr. Macaskill we believe that Amagi Metals is still in business and offering bitcoin payments (although it seems the bitcoin payment option is down at the time of writing this). There is hardly anything in Amagi Metals, is there a ETA when the website will be updated with new stock? I like buying small amounts of silver, but you only have 1 oz listed (I like 1 gram, 1/10 oz 1/4 oz silver products) :-/

You guys lost a lot of business because of unfilled orders, literally NO customer service and basically keeping everyone in the dark on what was going on these last several months. It would have been so easy to keep customers simply by telling us what was going on. Instead, there was nothing but silence and denial from your Reddit thread how Anthem wasn't buying out/acquiring Amagi Metals. It's a shame too because at one time Amagi Metals was actually a shining star in the Bitcoin community.

Hi Mark, To speak very candidly, I totally understand. I worked for Amagi when it was owned by Stephen Macaskill and was then hired by Anthem Vault. Unfortunately the two entities couldn't make up their mind in a timely manner on how the buy out would work due to the onslaught of orders that had not been fulfilled under the old ownership. Anthem Vault has now fully stepped in and almost every order that had requested refunds or metal has been fulfilled that was required by our contract. It was a difficult moment for all of us in customer service and marketing - those of us that connect directly to you. The good news is, Anthem Vault has got Amagi back to operating at honorable speeds and accepting Bitcoin again. While it's difficult to earn back customers after such a dark couple of months, we do hope we can revive the Amagi brand and what it stood for. The message never changed of sound money and liberty...and bitcoin, however there were some issues that were financial in nature that left the foundation of the company in a tough spot. Looking forward to the future and winning back the confidence of the community. Thanks for your helpful criticism. I also received a recent order after about 2-3 days. Nothing crazy or huge, just a little gold, silver, and some copper. It was very well packed and I even got a free Amagi t-shirt from their gold promo- and I love the shirt, it's awesome! Had a couple questions and talked to Megan through their customer support, and she was very prompt and helpful.
Thanks Amagi, will be ordering again in the future! My only comment is it would be nice to see more of the silver rounds restocked, and would love to see the Amagi "End The Fed" silver round back for a round 2! I bought one recently (on the 2nd market) and it is a great piece with a message that needs to be heard and realized by the general public.

After having good success previously, I made another order in January. The items did arrive in good condition but unfortunately it took 28 days from order date until it was shipped. I inquired with support 3 days after my order and was told they would be shipped out the following Monday.
The delay and poor communication led to a poor experience for me this time.

They price btc at a price lower than or = to btc-e, and significantly lower than bitstamp.
There selection and prices are worse than others.
I was going to purchase some btc today and buy an item there, but I will lose money on buying btc (due to their undervalue of btc) and lose money on their items which are priced higher than their competitors.
It is a shame really as I'd rather support them, but I am not overpaying because they undercut btc value. Even if I caught btc in an upswing, it would have to me more than $9 form my purchase price to break even......
