Many cryptocurrencies are currently being developed like bitcoin, dogecoin, dashcoin , litecoin etc. Just like now we have different paper currencies for different countries. It is possible that in the future each country will decide or develop its own cryptocurrency?. What do you think about this? Please share your views.
Each country(eg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auroracoin), religion(for eg, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=986527.0) or other divisions creating their own coins will simply create more confusion among people. Cryptos are meant to be anonymous, and creating restrictions for who can use certain cryptos, will be fundamentally flawed. Cryptos like bitcoin, dogecoin, dashcoin , litecoin are successful cause they does'nt have any T&C with them. So, I think each country developing their own crypto isn't a good idea.

As you have seen that more and more users from India are now getting into crypto currency and companies like zebpay and coinsecure makes it easier to buy bitcoins. So do you think merchants like flipkart and amazon should use bitcoin as alternate payment gateway.
I guess online retailers would love to use BTC since it will cut their banking fees. Once the retailers starts using bitcoins, the awareness of cryptos will also increase throughout the country. BUT the problem here for the retails is the uncertainty of government's position on cryptos.

I guess voting is possible even without blockchain protocol. With basic understanding of internet, people can vote using their IDs as passwords in a simple https page.
But then again, there can be several other problems such as location of the voter, internet connectivity, fraud and of course corruption within election officials.

Hello bitcoin people. So I am from all over India and kinda new to the bitcoin world. I am not related to tech in anyway, but I have heard good things from my techy friends about this new money couple of months back maybe. So I have been reading this forum and other bitcoin related articles on and off for few days and have decided to join this forum to know more about bitcoins. Thanks.
Hi there. welcome to BCT and the world of bitcoins. If u have any queries do ask. There is a lot to learn about crypto currencies. For now, I am still getting the feel of navigating the forum, but I have many queries to ask and share, which I will be doing soon....... Happy to see new indians joining bitcoin community everyday.Hope we soon surpass chinese bitcoin users and become highest number of btc users in world Hope the day comes soon. But if we want to compete with chinese, we still have a long way to go in terms of educating public on btc, btc infrastructure (Acceptence in shops, atms) etc. The chinese have an advantage here as they already had an established internet infra, and so they could grasp the understanding of cryptos quickly. On the other hand, we Indians love money, and keep searching for more ways to earn and save it. So if someone comes out with platforms to show the advantage of bitcoins, I am sure everyone will be jumping for it...

I have a problem in explaining bitcoin to people in Hindi.I dont know the Hindi equivalent of many words like cryptocurruncy, peer to peer etc I was wondering is there a easy way to explain Bitcoin to someone layman who doesn't understand English?
Sometimes, it is better to retain the original English technical words, rather than inventing something in Hindi as its translation. No point in reinventing the wheel. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Yes but you cant mention some english words to villagers and expect them to understand it.You need to coin new words I think Indian villagers are long long away from understanding bitcoins and cryptos in general. I mean if you want to explain them what bitcoin is, you will have to start from internet itself. Then again, youths today who are hooked to social media and knows what basic internet is, have a better chance to learn more about bitcoins. I believe we are fairly young country, and as more Indians go deep inside internet, the understanding of cryptos will become popular...

How about Satoshi Nakamoto is NASA
Maybe Satoshi Nakamoto is some government agency of some country and did bitcoins without approval from the government, and now they are afraid if they expose their project nothing good will come out of it.
Just my two cents.

It is really difficult to understand bitcoin unless some concepts are clear to you. There is lot of information on the internet, however for layman it is still difficult to grasp. One of my friend is working on the site which will give information on cryptocurrency as well as other concepts like mining, gambling etc in a layman language. I will share a link when he completes it. Hello, I don't think there are any Hindi words for cryptocurrency and such, since these terms are fairly new in English language too... Maybe we will have to use a combination of Hindi words for now This is my rough attempt ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) crypto-computer dwara banai gai koolekhan mudra peer to peer-kisee anya vyakti se aur ek vyakti tak Mining-computer se khanij/khanan/khanna gambling-internet pe jua ka khel
