21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [IOTA] IOTA Speculation on: July 01, 2016, 11:52:02 PM
Helpful Tip:

x BTC/100 GIOTA = (27795*x) IOTA Market Cap (in BTC)

I've seen a few offers of 3 BTC/100GIOTA => 3*27795 = 83385 BTC Market Cap (~55,034,100 USD)

Final claiming, full client/network release and full foundation funding. Not to mention the "big deal" coming to fruition. These things are increasingly likely and I think to sellers pretty much a given now. This certainty is what this price reflects. We are not back in Dec 2015. I believe the market will have a base at this price upon exchange trading, with much room for growth. Eth has shown what a legit alt offering can do and NEM has show what a totally worthless alt can even pump to. $50MM is the baseline if not higher.

WTS Iota in bulk. 20 BTC per Terra Iota. Escrow.

This is the sort of pre-trading price I was expecting, instead of cryptoknightt's deals.

yes, but so far its just an ask-price.

Yep, but I think the lowball sales by dodgy characters have kept the price down.

agree

Is there anyone keeping track of where these asks are being matched?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1440112.msg15400253#msg15400253

So, he's prices are too low but the only ones being matched? Hmmm.

That's how CryptoKnight's scam works. He offer's silly low price, buyers flock to him, he absconds with funds. Not hard to understand.

IOTA FOR SALE!

As my last OTC offer before IOTA goes live I have 8Ti IOTA available. The price is 25XBT per 1Ti or 200XBT for the entire 8Ti. I can do deals of 1Ti minimum and we will of course use escrow of the two reputable facilitators:

Seccour: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=75764

or

yassin54: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=222847

PM me to make arrangements.

Thanks for reading and I hope everyone is as excited for the launch as I am Smiley

(For reference, total IOTA supply is 2779Ti)

1. Friend, China, russia and handfuls of other countries would like to talk to you about this alleged "USD world reserve currency" statement... Not sure what you are trying to get at regarding your inflation statement. Seems unrelated and out of place.

2. That quote does in no way support your absolute statement that there is no long term development team.

3. No. You don't single people out. You just spread a blanket of FUD, which is worse.

4. Exactly. All of your statements are predicated on the assumption that the foundation will not be funded. So you are making baseless speculations.

1. Choose one. Just like the pizza, dollars aren't compared to the same dollars over years.. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reserve_currency

2. The foundation IS NOT funded right now. Aka. As of right NOW there is no on going support (after release).

3. Wild accusations aren't proof of anything.

4. No. They are on the current status based on the fact.

Stop trying to speculate and pump iota prematurely.

1. Ok, you fail to be coherent with this response.

2.The foundation is at the LEAST 50% funded, this we know for fact. This is before the past week of claiming. The numbers are not out yet but it is likely that at least a single person donated in that time, likely much more. This means the foundation is closer to funded than unfunded.

3. Again, no coherent response is being made by your reply.

4. See above statements.

This is clearly as fruitful as speaking to a wall. You are a doom and gloom fudder. Feel free to continue this conversation but I will not participate with you any further as it is a waste of my time refuting trolls. I'm not sure what your motive is, but take the not so subtle hint from the other posts directed at you and just cut the shenanigans.

Yes and also this is crypto. We measure in BTC around here, not stinky fiat.  Additionaly, it is not honest to flip between BTC and USD to make the disparity appear larger.  Use one reference point or the other. Proper measure is 0.047 ICO and 0.6 now = 12.75x

Besides, CK's all but likely a scammer at this point. Using his "sales" prices for these conclusions are meaningless as they do not reflect the real market. They are artificialluy low so he can grift investors more easily.

So at what point do we convert btc to USD from 1 bitcoin being worth $0.01 to it now being $650? Or is the pizza sold back in 2011 still worth 20000 btc to you? (I forgot the exact details). Value is value.

My pointsc
1. Iota has no ongoing development team as of right now.
2. Anyone here could be a scammer. Anyone.

Well we had better track USD value vs other world currencies into the equation. Please ask everybody what currency they bought with and what it's value vs USD is now vs when they invested. Also we will need to know what the price of BTC was when they originally bought it so we can clculate their cost basis into our equation. Where does it end? The point is you pick one reference and stick with it.

Please show me a source where this is stated as absolute as you portray it to be. I would also like you to explain why the foundation is collecting 5% of all IOTA if there is to be no long term development. Of course they will continue to support their project and many others will join as things progress. You are just doom and glooming with no basis.

Friend, anyone in the world can be a scammer. Act accordingly. The difference is only very few people in this circumstance have handed out IOU's without escrow and that is what we are talking about.

Regarding foundation. All account claiming has been happening this past week and it will be far above 50%.

1. World reserve currency vs highly volatile bitcoin. Even the USD adjusts for inflation over years.

2.
.... Keep in mind that we - the company - didn't allocate a single iota for ourselves, precisely to avoid people thinking that we were somehow obligated to do any work beyond our sales agreement of developing and delivering software to our customers.

We have proposed a foundation, and it's up to the community by 100% choice to participate or not....

3. There are many not using escrow. I'm against singling people out.

4. It's impossible to say until the tangle confirms it.

concerning http://necropaz.github.io/IOTAtutorial.html

I didn't participate in the ICO, but bought some in the speculation-thread.
So how can I get transactions without having a seed? Do I set one up?

A seed is a string of random 81 characters using capital letters from "A" to "Z" and also the digit "9". You can create it.

HJDIEHBSLAORUAHBFKDIEUAH9THIS9IS9JUST9AN9EXAMPLE9GKTIROQHAGFBGOSKZMFKHITURYEHSJ G9

ALWAYS Keep your seed safe: you need it to have access to your account.

oh it worked! thanks!

You didn't use that string exactly for your seed did you?

@ICO investors got approx 0.004btc/100gIOTA.

I believe you're off by order of magnitude.

Just like IS believe they will Fuck their virgins. Please don't tell me your beliefs. Show me your math.

It was ~130 sats per old IOTA which makes it 130 sats for 2779530 new IOTA.

which makes it ~0.047 BTC / 100Gi

illodin is right. You are way off.

IOTA FOR SALE

It is official!! http://forum.iotatoken.com/t/iota-gui-and-launch-date/379

We finally have release of the GUI, IOTA website, entrance into final beta and official announcement that network goes live on July 11th and trading on exchanges shortly following. If XEM can pump to $120MM  with no special tech, then IOTA as the ONLY 3.0 crypto will be on fire!

As my last OTC offer before IOTA does go live I now have 8Ti IOTA available. The price is 28XBT per 1Ti or 224XBT for the entire 8Ti. I can do deals of 1Ti minimum and we will of course use escrow of the two reputable facilitators:

So how can a newbie who has 2 posts, have this huge amount of IOTA, while there is no sign of participating an ICO or antyhing. The account is recently made.

He accepts escrow, so it should be fair, but it's just strange that he is selling with a newbie account.

Maybe it is CH trying to sell his real IOTA as well.

Why dont you sell with you account, with which you registerd for the ICO?

This guy again.

Listen buddy, no bitcointalk account was necessary to invest in the ICO. I deleted my account long ago because there is very little worthwhile reason to have one. I am using escrow for ALL of my deals, not that it is any of your business.

Hey while we're making up stories, maybe I'm Xenu the alien lord trying to take over earth but first I need funds to build spaceships so I invest in Iota. Or maybe you are CH's troll account used to berate any selling competition.

Take off the tinfoil hat and go spend some time outside.
