21  Economy / Digital goods / [CLOSED] XCOM Enemy Unknown (0.05 BTC OBO) STEAM on: August 16, 2013, 05:27:51 PM
Have this sitting in my inventory and don't think it's worth much.

PM me with offers

Alternatively, if you want to pay for this game by pointing a miner at my BTCGuild account (mycketbra_1) then I would be forever grateful

Come on, man. Reselling Humble Bundle codes? That's not only against their terms, it's also what you call a "dick move."

well if you think this then i guess you have about 30 other posts to make as there is about that many of people selling said codes on this site.
1. You don't think this? That means a) it's not against their terms or b) reducing charity revenue by violating terms of service is not a dick move. Which one?
2. No, I won't spam 30 threads. I'm just calling it as I see it.

Furthermore, you can buy the Humble Bundle with Bitcoin for less than the OP is asking. Not even a completely selfish, heartless, entirely rational market agent would buy the OP's stolen goods.

lmao please leave, "violating terms of service" for a company that makes millions of $$$ off pixels

bye

30  Economy / Lending / Re: 2 BTC loan on: May 25, 2013, 09:52:31 PM
Sounds genuine enough. Someone give him the loan FFS Smiley
Why don't you do it? It's pretty easy to tell that this loans is a bad idea due to the risk.

I probably would if I had the funds, but I don't. If I did I'd be able to verify personally as I live in the same country as the OP. I'm not a native, it is my adopted home. Much more freedoms than my native UK but not so much money to go around Smiley

Don't feed the trolls Smiley
31  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a 0.1 BTC loan, will return 0.13 BTC 24 hours after on: May 24, 2013, 06:34:58 AM
I have quite a few BTC already and solely desire to build community reputation and trust for when I eventually propose a community venture. Hence why I am offering an attractive APR and collateral.

Then why don't you do something with those BTC publicly that would let people know you're a serious individual? For example:

  • There is a non-profit Bitcoin convention coming to Amsterdam in 2013. Why not contribute to them in the form of sponsorship? It would help your reputation more than any small amount of bitcoin loans
  • There are some websites that people currently are afraid are scams. Why not take one for the team and see if they're real or not so that others can benefit from your risk taking? That would build more reputation than any small loans.

Great, thank you for this information. I will now lock this thread and think up a better community building effort Smiley

Sound like you guys have this down to a science. How can I get a loan from one of you two without providing my national ID and utility bills?

Genuinely interested in building reputation on the forums as I've been here for some time and have done successful trades in the past without people hawking me.

Especially for 0.1 BTC with the opportunity to make 30% in 24 hours...

Buy your coins. Work for your coins. Build for your reputation. When your reputation is high and you happen to need to borrow, do it then. There is no amount of reputation that 0.1BTC could build.

I have quite a few BTC already and solely desire to build community reputation and trust for when I eventually propose a community venture. Hence why I am offering an attractive APR and collateral.

Hi,

What's the issue? I saw a few people advising against this, but I don't understand what the problem is. Genuinely interested in building reputation and would appreciate if we can sort this out and you can edit your post after we have an understanding.

39  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain wallet "estimated confirmation time unknown" on: May 16, 2013, 05:38:33 PM
There is no network bounceback. You will have to double spend it. (Double spending is not always evil). I believe Blockchain.info let's you double spend it after 24 hours.

The sending party may choose to craft a double spend transaction right now and the network should accept it (with a proper fee), as it shouldn't be in any node's memory pool.

The link to the transaction is show not found.

Hi again, as Abdussamad has noted the transaction is over 24 years old and is no longer on the network. I should safely assume that the balance has returned to the person's blockchain.info wallet and that we can try again with a proper fee?
40  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain wallet "estimated confirmation time unknown" on: May 16, 2013, 06:29:17 AM
It probably hasn't broadcasted yet, your client was not open when it did, or you didn't add a fee.
Patience will solve your problem Smiley.
The fee is too low.

Are you sure it wasn't custom send and the sender set the fee to 0? I know some people who used to do that..

EDIT: The size is over 1000 bytes (it is 1338 bytes). As there is no fee, this transaction most likely won't confirm anytime in the near future.

Thanks for the replies, I've been trying to get estimates on how long it will take haha. Isn't there a network bounce back eventually?

Luckily if it bounces back, the blockchain.info wallet should accept it. It was strange that it didn't ask for a fee though
