23  Local / India / Re: Earn crypto while learning about crypto (Coinbase) on: April 24, 2019, 02:43:51 PM
I applied for it a while back around a month now it gave me message that 'I'll be notified when my turn comes', didn't receive any mail back after that my Coinbase account was registered 2 years back and I have used it in the past too, any idea why I didn't receive the mail or does it take time? I heard mail shows up in 72 hours.

I am also on the waiting list, I think account age have nothing to do with this..my account is also 3 years old. Maybe there is a huge amount of people applying as the videos seems simple and straightforward. I hope we get our shot soon.

You said 'we' .. are you in any way related to the coinbase team or are you just copy pasting text from somewhere?

I am a part of coinbase team

25  Economy / Services / Re: I'm looking for a remote freelancer for a part-time video and audio editing gig on: April 23, 2019, 06:03:08 PM
I'm looking for a remote (anywhere in the world) freelancer with experience editing audio and video using Adobe Audition, After Effects/Premier Pro.

This is a part-time gig, roughly 4 hours or less per week depending on how fast you work. I will pay you $35 per week, the only stipulation is I will send you all the audio and video Monday evening and I need it completely edited by Monday night.

If you're never busy on Monday nights this is a great way to join a quickly growing crypto media channel.

If interested contact me immediately at: drew@crusayder.com

I have 4 years+ experience with video/audition editing with adobe premiere pro/audition and after effects. I also have a youtube channel that is 3 years old. I am located in India and is able to work on any weekdays.

Will send you a mail right away

6.3 Exclusion from Sandbox Testing

The entities may not be suitable for RS if the proposed financial service is similar to those that are already being offered in India unless the applicants can show that either a different technology is being gainfully applied or the same technology is being applied in a more efficient and effective manner.

An indicative negative list of products/services/technology which may not be accepted for testing is as follows:

  • Credit registry
  • Credit information
  • Crypto currency/Crypto assets services
  • Trading/investing/settling in crypto assets
  • Initial Coin Offerings, etc.
  • Chain marketing services
  • Any product/services which have been banned by the regulators/Government of India

So RBI excluded crypto from testing? I apologize for being dumb, Someone please explain

29  Local / India / Earn crypto while learning about crypto (Coinbase) on: April 17, 2019, 03:47:11 PM
Discover how specific cryptocurrencies work — and get a bit of each currency to try out for yourself.

Coinbase Earn allows users to earn cryptocurrencies, while learning about them in a simple and engaging way. The idea is for users to understand more about an asset’s utility and its underlying technology, while getting a bit of the asset to try out. To manage demand, we’re launching Coinbase Earn today in invite-only mode with a single asset: ZRX. Over time, we plan to add more educational content as well as the ability to earn other cryptocurrencies.

32  Local / India / Re: How Indian Govt. cheated the whole nation (NewsFlash) on: April 15, 2019, 04:24:30 PM
~snip~
Hope you have an idea about how many political parties are there in India according to the election commission of India, there are 1841 registered parties in India and do you have any idea how many take politics as a profession and you could point out a few in a sector where millions are into politics, that is an outstanding find though  Cheesy . What i was trying to tell is that, there might be a few people in an ocean that are pure to their heart on what they do, but the majority are corrupt and only when the majority is true to what they do, you wont see any change.

I agree wholeheartedly, I always used to wonder why is there so much competition to serve the nation. The term politics have been vulgarized so much that when we hear it, all we can think of if fights, hatred and mutual rancor. No two parties can sit and look at each other.

This is quite obvious, the drive behind all these millions of people joining politics as "full time", is purely selfish. Self-aggrandizement, prosperity to their family and whoever joins side with them. It is no doubt that the system is corrupt. But, I have high hopes about the future generations i.e. who are around 15-25 right now. They seem to have much more open mind, acceptance and a sense of brotherhood - much more than what we are seeing now, only if they don't get corrupt with the company of their "wise" mentors.

34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Forex Trading or Binary Option? on: April 14, 2019, 11:23:15 AM
I've already tried Binary trading but I lose my money in just an hour.
What kind of trading are you in? And what would you prefer?

Forex is a good choice if you really know what your goals and you are well disciplined trader. The market is greatly influenced by world events so fundamental analysis play a major role in succesfull trade along with technical analysis. You can get great rewards if you trade safe, may be practice paper trading for few months until you are confident, before investing real money.

36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any real use for bank-backed cryptocurrency ? on: April 12, 2019, 02:40:41 PM
Beginning with the fact that cryptocurrency was originally built in some sort as a mean to avoid banks and the bureacracy related to those kind of thing, is there any use for bank to launch their crypto, why would people who are searching for a non-centralized way to manage their asset to join centralization expert like JPM or other

There was a serious discussion over at Indian central bank (RBI) about cryptocurrency, there was widespread rumor that the govt was interested in a centralized coin which can for some extent replace paper currency. Having said this, I don't think there is anything for our community to be excited about such a coin because it defeats the purpose and vision satoshi had when he first made BTC.

Then as a practical use for crypto in banks, they can use a stablecoin to do International money transfers which I think is more easier than traditional wire transfer.

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How is your trading strategy? on: April 12, 2019, 05:55:35 AM
when someone has knowledge in every field, especially in the field of cryptoqurency, of course that person can succeed. whatever the conditions they can survive the abilities they have. I was recently in the cryptoqurency world, but I still have a lot to learn about crypto. but I have high determination and keep thinking about how to survive here.
if we only rely on the sweetness of the words there is no change at all, we must dare to make a decision even though it is the worst possible!
I have invested in several altcoins when prices are low and also while waiting for the market to improve. to be honest I don't have high skills in the trade sector but have confidence that we can do this, besides that I want to learn from your experience too and then I will do further research if I feel that is true.
then what strategy do you do in trading?

crypto market is very volatile and extremely unpredictable, more for its anonymous nature. You cannot do fundamental analysis like you do for forex, because the chances are very low that we know when there will be a huge buy or sell. Even though this is the case, trading can be very rewarding if you stay away from day trading and focus on investing long term. As many other users suggested, buy when you think the market have hit a low - you can do simple technical analysis and find support and resistance - it won't give you a perfect picture but still you can find the past mindset of traders with these tools and speculate. good luck!

40  Local / India / Re: How Indian Govt. cheated the whole nation (NewsFlash) on: April 11, 2019, 03:42:15 PM

Correct! It's open for both sides. All governments of India had the resource to manipulate things but did it effect us? The Death of Shastri or the relation of Indira Gandhi didn't effect the common mass in big way! Our daily life remained the same!

During previous government also there were various scams and the same is happening during the current government as well. But the current government is directly affecting common mass. Due to demonetization, millions of people lost their jobs. Thousands of small companies got closed down while the majority of the benefits were passed to certain big conglomerates. Take example of BSNL and JIO - a government run telecom provider doesn't have access to 4G spectrum while a private company is making billions in profit with the same spectrum. BSNL is now not able pay their full time employees and delaying the salary since last 2 months! That's where common mass is getting affected.

If we want to, the can of worms will be opened from both sides! But that's really not the intention of this thread for sure, so I will stop here. I still believe, demonetization is the biggest scam in Indian history which should be probed by an independent authority once the current rulling party goes out of power!

One on hand we have whales who can buy out an entire city, The amount of hoarding of wealth is insane. Govt. and bank's give these people every kind of support and feed on them. One the other hand we have common man working on daily wages and paying most of his money for educational and other loans, who is threatened by the same govt and banks if he misses a few installments.

The whole idea behind this post (whether the news was true or not), is that we need a transparent/trust-less system like BTC

Govt spreads wrong awareness that BTC and other crypto is an aid to money laundering/terrorist funding etc, which is pure horseshit. Everyone knows how dark market vendors and other illegal parties using crypto for payment get busted from time to time.
