Hello

This is my 1st ever post, but I have had IFC since November 2013 and at the time it was 12th in Coinmarketcap. This coin only needs an updated wallet, some marketing and more interest. I will do my bit to get this coin onto the better exchanges. if you are interested in pushing this coin up and helping it grow sign this petition and share it around, the more signatures the better in showing interest before we can make proposals to the better exchanges. Plus we need people on the look out for DEVS

Hey there LONG HODLR, I will push once we get the Development thing right.  I like to push quality.

Any word on why price has slid so much?  Is it the Obelisk thing with pre-orders for a year before delivery?  Whatever it is we need a quick correction here, too many strong players now entering space.

Can we do more as a community to promote the necessity of $SC?  How can we quintuple the current hosting size?  Does anyone know when the Mineboxes are shipping?

I'm going to purchase some Mineboxes does someone have an opinion as to why I should or shouldn't buy them - Sincere question would appreciate input.

Is there an active Dev Team?

I would really like that, but is it just baseless speculation?  I mean real news moves pricing. - A word from the Dev Team would help.  If Dev Team posts a Roadmap that would be significant!  Anything short of this is empty chatter.   Huh

So much to offer, why the current crash?

Hi

Can somebody advise me on my coins which were on an old computer and i have to locate it ...not sure if it will switch on or whether the wallet will be found.

i have on a USB all the transaction codes and the amounts , dates and  receiving and sending  wallets. Do i need to locate the old wallet or can i set up a new wallet and  somehow with the information i have transfer them to a new wallet .

Any advise will be appreciated

Regards

You need the original wallet.dat file at minimum. You should probably also copy over the whole folder located in C:/Users/Username/AppDate/Roaming/infinitecoin

This way would be much faster. Good luck.
How can BTER fix their wallet, they have posted this:
Notice: Our local IFC wallet keeps reporting 'Create Transaction Fail' and there's no new wallet update. We keep retrying to resend withdrawals but there there will be unexpected delays.

I told them how they can fix their wallet but they are too cheap/lazy to do it. This issue could be solved by consolidating their transactions but apparently they didn't take my advice.

And too incompetent. To make up for their hack (which I believe was an inside job to steal) they now make you play a game of exchanging coins for fees to get to a crypto that they will allow you to withdraw.

That company needs to be driven into the dirt. They are greasy slimy weasels. Putting your crypto on their exchange is a fools bet.

I think people who were lucky to withdraw [a fraction of] their funds from there are just wearing the profits that they would otherwise have happily rode into the ground without any chance of retrieval. This is like a gift from invisible chinese Santa. I don't believe Bter do still care about their business or how to fix the wallet, they are not silly and understand that the bloom is off the rose now and their time is over.

TECSHARE, any ideas on how to move this coin forward?
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: July 06, 2017, 09:54:47 PM

Yes nice article, but it left me with one question:  Why would one believe that other anonymity-centric coins such as Monero, DASH, or PIVX provide better anonymous transaction payment solutions?  Why?

Also, I agree with article's view on community and adoption.  What can community do to help?  How can we increase adoption? I remember May of last year there was talk about Dash introducing some ATMs throughout Venezuela and other Central American countries and that seems to have been the beginning of their rise to their current numbers.  (This is not a pitch for Dash, I mean try buying a million Dash right now).

The Verge Currency Community stands ready!

What mean resistance in crypto/market? How I can see it? Sorry for amateur question.
You think it will tommorow down?

If you're genuinely asking I would tell you not to worry too much with these terms and metrics.  In Crypto Economy their just fancy terms to show everyone how much one knows but at the end of the day it's worthless rhetoric.  These fancy terms, like "resistance" and "walls" are mostly used for the traditional market and they're being transplanted into the Crypto space.  It's useless to try and apply them right now to our type of assets, at least until the space matures as a whole. (To prove my point study the charts of the top 50 coins for the past 90 days and you'll see what I'm talking about).

Things to look for include the "intrinsic value of a coin" or how does this coin fulfill a need and how it does it better than other coins; community involvement around the project and last but not least development.  $XVG does a good job in fulfilling these requirements.

$XVG is a "privacy Focused" currency and compared to other similar coins right now it's an absolute bargain. I mean at 180 Sats they're a steal.  The community around the project is very strong, there's some real love here, of course keep in mind that there will always be haters.  On the development side, these folks are churning away, tirelessly.  They're focused and they're keeping their word time after time.  These are the things that really matter right now in the space all else is baseless speculation.  The time will come when the fancy terms will carry some meaning but for now they're mere opinions and guesses.

I looked at the price chart for the past seven days and I thought it looked like a slide in an amusement park.  I also noticed it correlated with the "Big" announcement which turned out to be the ASIC miner sooooo far away.  I hate this park slide in the midst of so many Brave New Coins whose charts look like Mt. Everest.

We need adoption and a dramatic increase in hosting.  What happened to Minebox, their site has 22 units left out of only 200, is this correct?  In the new landscape of Crypto it's not very hard to see $SC at $1.00, it might take a bit but at least now it's conceivable but we need adoption.  Now is the time to rise and shine, the time window is now open and we need some "Big News" fast before it closes and we're left behind.

Is there a possibility of introducing PoS?  Many are holding on to their $SC and it would be beautiful if we can get dividends for staking.  With the current price of mining equipment I believe the old argument that poses PoS as a way to centralize and provide the wealthier to get wealthier no longer stands.  Hybrid mining would be "Big News".   Grin

Kryptomaniac - you should post this in another thread. This one is regarding price speculation only.

Hey there TheMostGhost, this thread is for Speculation & Discussion.  My post falls under the "Discussion" part.

I'm a HODLr of $XVG.  If we survey the Crypto Space I believe we can all at least at a minimum conclude that we are at a special juncture in Crypto Economics.  At this juncture there is a Fork in the road - A hard one for the space in its entirety.  It's the genesis of of the future of Coins; one road will lead to an eventual nowhere and the other to lasting success.  These outcomes might take a bit to manifest but what happens NOW marks the future for all the participants in the space.

Now is the time for the dramatic.  Any project that is unable to implement some distinctive feature or optimize existing ones have already embarked on the road to nowhere. We need major moves with $XVG.  I've already suggested PoS which is a great way to incentivize all believers in the project for with the current costs of GPU mining equipment both miners and holders should be considered believers and both should be incentivized.  We can do PoS without sacrificing our PRIVACY FOCUS.  Upcoming RSK implementation should provide excellent value providing we can start promoting all the benefits it's going to bring to bring to the table.

Now I was also thinking of this, is it possible or even viable?:

Implementation into the Mysterium Network allowing for a better PRIVACY experience.  In Mysterium network participants are incentivised therefore I see fast adoptation.  Speed favors Mysterium over TOR quite dramatically and Mysterium offers PaaS allowing us to implement some real cool features.

No hating now, this is just an idea premised primarily on the economic side rather than the technical.  The idea is open to objective criticism as we, as community, have the responsibility to actively search to improve on the health of our project.

Active Community + Active Development = Successful Project

Trade Volume for the last 30 days:  IFC $101,583,801

I can understand the selling of a Coin without any active development but who in the heck is doing the buying, the sellers themselves?  Is this Coin the ultimate example of price manipulation?  7 Sats is the average price for last 30 days.

Is there any chance for development?  In a landscape of new Coins and all these ICOs, IFC has something to offer; it's been around despite all its self deprecating existence.

What would happen if someone picks this up to form a development team?  Can anyone rise up to develop, can anyone see any value in this project?  Anyone out there?  I'm sure support will follow, providing someone comes up with a viable plan to resurrect.

33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: June 28, 2017, 05:16:23 PM
I'd be happy to see it break 500-1000 SATs. $1? that might be years away.

I get what your saying, it's just that I've experienced this type of growth with other Coins that shared similar fundamentals to those of $XVG that it's very difficult not to see the same happen to this Coin - it's hard to ignore.

Overall we're entering a different sphere of how things are evolving, and at the top of it all is "Technological Change".  Look into Vernor Vinge's ideas about exponentially accelerating technological change.  Really cool ideas that might help one to see that the $1.00 mark is not as far as one might think.

$XVG to $1.00

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: June 28, 2017, 03:22:38 AM
Considering there are 16,555,000,000 XVG, is it even possible for this coin to reach 1$ one day? Realistically speaking.

It's really a "mental barrier", the $1 that is, since we immediately associate that price with a market cap of 16.5 Billion.  I get it, that sounds far fetched at this point.  But if you think in terms of "Mass Adoption" a market cap of 16.5 Billion is miniscule. Think Micro Payment Currency, think a ton of people using the coin to transact daily living transactions.

I saw a particular coin go up 1000s of percents since there announcement of being made part of BitCart and the ability to purchase from Amazon.  I'm not pitching that coin now; very few people can now afford a million of those, so don't tell me anything like "you're reading a pitch between the lines", I'm simply making a case of how important adoption is and I'm using factual data to back it up.

So, with that said if you can overcome the temporary "mental barrier" you'll be able to see $XVG at $1.00 and then you'll be able to hold on to your Verges through the roller coaster ride that's sure to come before we see that $1.00 mark.  But think on this:  (Number of $XVGs you hold x $1.00) = X, what will X be for you?

Cheers!

Awesomeness, that's how I'll describe the $NXT phenomenon over the past two days.  Did you all see the stalwartness of the $XVG price in this last correction?  12,500 Sats is our next stop.   Grin

Interesting read:

https://themerkle.com/barclays-urges-uk-regulators-to-bring-bitcoin-into-play/

Article makes an excellent case for Privacy Focused Cryptos.

The Crypto Market will soon rebound; bounce back up and up.... $XVG is a bargain in relation to all Coins of its kind.  It'll be back @ 200 Sats in no time.

HDLRs is time to buy.  Buy, buy and buy, we have a future here.

By Publishing the following article the NY Times made a strong case for Privacy Focused Cryptos.  The article can be construed to mean "A loud cry for US regulations for US Citizens in the Crypto  space".

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/23/business/dealbook/coin-digital-currency.html?smid=tw-nytimes&smtyp=cur

Do your homework and check the stats; $XVG is a Privacy Focused Crypto that is undervalued.

Coin Objective + Strong Devs + Tight Community + Current Correction = Buying Opportunity for HODLRs  Grin

Fake Pump Cheesy and after one day back to 116sat Cheesy

stop posting daily negativity Wink thankyou

that is my opinion Wink Last time 250sat and back to 116sat Wink

The pattern has been 150-160 then down to 110-120 and repeat for a while now.  The problem is that one day it's not going to go back down.  But I was buying at 3 so I can't complain one way or another.

That is the same, one week later...

To remain objective is healthy, to focus on negativity disallows one to see potential.  I would recommend objectivity but also a positive outlook.  $XVG has much potential beyond these, sometimes unfounded charts.  Just look at the Bitcoin Chart, I'm sure no one would be complaining owning a few million BTCs.

There's no longer any available time for this back and forth rhetoric.  It's all hyperspeed now.  Pumpers will Pump,  FUDsters Will Fud,Developers must Develop and thank God HODLRs will HODL.  No luxury is now available to Devs except for being Geniuses in their creativity.  Powerfully backed projects are now invading the space raising millions for development out the door.  Significant implementations must now take place for any project that wants to keep being relevant.

If your holding $NXT and you've decided to keep holding community support is now necessary.  The community must rise up against haters so that Devs can concentrate on development.  If you're a HODLR you have a reason why you are.  You have a self benefiting reason to express "the why" you're sticking to the project.  Let us rise against the haters and let's kick them out by shear brut force of thought and logic.  Now I'm not suggesting that the community remain not vigilant and hail everything that comes down the pike - we must remain objective!

No reason now why $NXT should not be $1.00 NOW, TODAY!
