I made the mistake of buying the AntRouter without digging to see if it was a good product. Now I'm stuck mining on SOLO, does anyone know how to get it off SOLO or change the firmware to get it to mine differently?
I don't have any experience with R1 router/miner. CrazyGuy has a custom firmware for R1, which I believe allows you to mine elsewhere. When you have a moment, please take a look. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=612390.0

You should be able to. Superbpaq supplies 2A for each port and works well with RPi. You can push an original compac to somewhere around 340Mhz under 1.95A.

i want to purchase 2 TH/s how much bitcoin get? in week or month or year
hope you can help me!
You technically can be profitable with an undervolted S7-LN, current Bitcoin exchange rate (1BTC=$961USD), and inexpensive electricity (around $0.09 kW/h). You are looking at roughly $0.25/Day if everything goes well. Since you have to cough up some $$ for acquiring a miner such as S7-LN, you won't make money at all. Just get some USB stick miners and do it as hobby.

Thank you philipma1957. Here is a better version for community. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FVVi35NS.jpg&t=663&c=1ViWN0hJP9ViJQ)

Looking forward to your review. After looking these pictures, I'm just wondering how to measure core voltage... ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

Thanks for the hard work and support for this project. I have been running your cgminer 4.10.0 build with original Compac sticks for a few hours now. Sticks are running at the clock speed of 343.75. At this clock speed, they should reach around 18.9G. However, they average around 17.6G instead. Just sharing what I've noticed so far.

Just to clarify. The new cgminer incorporates the compac like the novak "gekko" version used too but there isn't support yet for the 2pac until vh has finished?
That's correct. vh's clarification on Official cgminer 4.10.0 release: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.msg17596575#msg17596575cgminer 4.10.0 from vh's github does support 2pac. Q. How can I set a different frequency for the 2Pac vs the Compac?
cgminer will accept one or both parameters for the stick. --gekko-compac-freq 200 --gekko-2pac-freq 150

Love the fact that this build reports HW for each individual stick. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Nifty, I'll have to check that out and see how well it works. If it's Novak's code, it'll work okay for Compacs. If it's VH's code, it'll work well for Compacs, 2Pacs and the Biggie.
Running 4 original Compac with 4.10.0 on Pi3 right now. Everything seems to be fine. One difference I noticed right away is how the clock speed appears on the screen. I run the sticks with '--compac-freq 333' option. However, when cgminer starts, it shows something like 300 -> 310 -> 315 -> 320... then settles at 338 (instead of 333) So far, it has not produced any HW, so I can't complain. Is this how the new ramping code supposed to work? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

I recently purchased GekkoScience Compac USB miner on Amazon from you. i also downloaded the tar.gz file already. I'm super new to Bitcoin and little new to Ubuntu 16.04. Ubuntu is the system that I would like to use but the instructions for building Cgminer is confusing. This liink https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer/blob/master/READMEThis github page mentions this: " If building on Ubuntu: sudo apt-get install build-essential autoconf automake libtool pkg-config \libcurl3-dev libudev-dev " Is that all i need to do in Ubuntu? Or do you have a clearer set of instructions for a standard set up for Ubuntu? Please I am very new at this and just want a standard setup (nothing special). Better build of CGMiner 4.9.2 will soon be available once vh releases it with 2pac and pod supports. For the time being, you can use https://github.com/wareck/cgminer-gekkoThe above ran ok with Ubuntu 16.04. However, I had a bit of trouble keeping HW number down when running more than 3 sticks. Good luck.

I also did a bit more research on anodizing, and since I have about ten feet of heatsink-profile bar stock on hand to play with, I might dabble a bit next week depending what chemicals I can find locally.
I found https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HSBM5JM/Quite similar to Compac heatsink dimension (10mm longer. But fin counts, height, and width are the same) and it is already anno'ed. Each heatsink is basically $1.99. Something I just wanted to mention, so you can save some trouble. If this is not cost effective at all, then you can disregard this. Just my 2 cents.

Just wondering, in case if I decide to mount several 2PACs in a single big block of heatsink. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Thanks for the quick response.

Sidehack,
What's the size of heatsink mounting screw tap?

One of these days I'll get back around to my powered USB hub project.
Also, all orders paid as of now have been entered on the queue.
If you set the original compac at 350Mhz / 790mv, how much amperage is the sticking drawing from a port?

Congrats. It took 49 days. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)
