21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XTO] Tao - Real Solutions for the Music Industry! on: May 15, 2018, 08:28:53 PM
Why do we need this project on the blockchain. In the online there are many sites that offer such services.

There are many sites offering fully regulatory compliant cryptocurrencies and offer ways for artists to raise funds with 100% legal and compliant cryptographically unique collectibles that can be bought and traded by anyone including the many millions of music fans who are under the age of 18?

There are many sites offering such services with the full support of members of Congress?

News to me.

And this...

https://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?action=getcompany&CIK=1736725

What folks may not see is that certain XTO hodlers bought into a SAFE in January of 2017 that now owns 1% of AltMarket through Tao Records DBA Infiniti Music as "Tao Network".  If you check our filing with the state of California, you'll see that in the filing.

A portion of this community owns a portion of our new US based, fully regulated exchange.

Anyone who doesn't see a distinct difference in this project and others is missing something.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The story of the Razor ("RZR") scam. Bryce Weiner and RazorTech on: November 14, 2017, 09:57:57 PM
Quote
Bryce Weiner (who worked at BlockTech at the time) saw the opportunity to get involved and hype a coin that would be highly profitable for miners (that's what he does, he creates new coins, he mines and dumps them “I make money out of thin air”  http://pastebin.com/VGyVPHN4)  so he started “working” and “developing” RZR along with RazorTech.

This is a cute little fantasy, but not accurate to reality.

I did not "get involved with" Razor.  I coded it an launched it fairly.  It was mined heavily and when a large number of tokens hit the markets it dumped.  I did mine RZR, but I never dumped it.  I still have lots of it.  Whoever did dump it was the number 1 miner on the network, which if I recall correctly was RedTiger.

RazorTech was someone that wanted to be the community lead for the project and I agreed.

This thread is a joke.

Really interesting roadmap.  I wonder who the well known companies in the cryptocurrency space that are helping to build this project are.
So Tao is in partnership with Interscope records?
Are some of these celebrities pictured in the roadmap going to publicly  endorse Tao?

Endorse?  Oh no no no....

The celebrities featured in the roadmap are ALREADY under contract.  We used their likenesses because we already have the rights to do so. Smiley

Allow me to be SUPER CLEAR.

Those celebrities involved with XTO are not compensated.  Quite the opposite, they are our CLIENTS.

I'll need to switch accounts to update the OP, but I'm proud to announce the release of the new XTO Roadmap!

http://tao.network/XTORoadmapv0.3.pdf

I shall simply leave it here and answer any questions which you might have.  I don't check BCT often, so Slack is highly recommended.

The details are that
a) everything is public knowledge, and
b) Coinbase is aware of this dispute because
c) in August of 2014 I took estate funds and invested them in Bitcoin with the permission of the co-administrator.

I haven't gone back just yet to correct the record, but then Bitcoin has only just now crossed $5,000.  Smiley

funny the because the estate says you stole estate funds, but again, that's a matter of public record - go ahead and say whatever bullshit you gotta say conman.
The record says that I was administrator of the estate at the time, and as a result could not have stolen anything.  Your characterization is typical crypto FUD or ignorance of how the law works or both.

Sorry, spin it anyway you want.

But anyway I guess it's to people who invest in you to decide if a lawsuit is fud.
[/quote]
I'm not spinning anything.

I think you're projecting.  That's kinda my point.

Edit to add: As I've been responding here I've been conducting an AMA in XTO slack on this topic.  Those are the most interested parties including our ICO investors and business partners.  You're welcome to join us.  The link is in the OP. Smiley

I think alpha nodes are deliberately not turned on yet? I think I read that somewhere, maybe on the slack.

Yes they have never been enabled. The info is on here and has been said on the slack.

So much for "you are all part of the network".

I know a shitcoin when I see one, and this is one. Do yourself a favor Bryce Weiner, do not get music-companies involved with TAO, they will sue you for every penny you got after they realize you only delivering shit slow shitcoins which don't even trade on real exchanges.

I did take a round to speak with exchange-operators to see if there was anything I could do to get listing, but apparently Bryce Weiner, you have threatened people so badly in the past, that frankly unless you sincerely apologize to them in person, they will never do business with you again ever. And since you are too proud to admit any mistakes, I assume this project will just be another "PandaCoin".

My suggestion - Set up an ICO BuyBack wall and buy it all back, call it a non-profit that failed, Kill the Chain and let us all move on with projects that are more serious and capable then this project will ever be.

Thanks for your suggestions.  You've not actually done any research on this project or the coin, which is evidenced by your attempt to activate a feature which has been repeatedly stated has been disabled.  There hasn't been any community organization to activate it, so one might assume the only one who currently is upset about this is you.  You're welcome to activate the feature if you have the requisite knowledge.  Please create a pull request and I shall review your changes for fitness.   It is open source, after all.

There's also two sides to this project which serves each audience we intend to serve.  I'm quite okay if the crypto audience thinks the project is shit.  We've not really provided any information as to what we've been up to, and that is 100% by design.  That's how real FOMO happens.

The other side of this project is covered under a thick layer of NDAs with our business partners, many of whom you already use even if you know it or not.  That's the music side of things.  We conquered all the technology issues a year ago.  We've had evidence of this in the blockchain since October of last year, and most projects attempting to do the same things are still thrilled at their seven figure ICO raise and don't have a real clue how to solve problems for the music industry.

Most projects in the crypto space for music that people love are complete steaming piles of shit.  They will never be used by anyone serious about their careers.  There are only three projects with a hope of being used by professionals: Ujo, Tao, and dotBC.  The rest are complete crap, if not outright illegal.

Feel free to quote me on that.  I'll be giving a panel discussion in NYC w/ the CEO of Ujo Music on Sept 27th and will be saying much the same thing.

I think Cryptopia is an exchange that could really generate volume for this coin. There was this one coin I bought on C-Cex for 30 satoshi, it had no volume and nothing was happening to it. Yesterday it was added to Cryptopia, and featured there as well. All of a sudden it went almost x100 in price for a moment, now it's at x30 from the price I bought it at. Just saying. Cryptopia has 4 times the volume of C-Cex and is really growing.

Also, if you were to implement the alpha nodes (10k XTO collateral) feature anytime soon (like at the start of next year, or somewhere next year) then that would also interest people a lot. Masternodes have really become popular these days.
I'm certainly not opposed to Cryptopia for obvious reasons.  I'm lead developer of UNO and there's an entire UNO market there.

As lead developer of XTO (as with UNO), I have to distance myself just a little bit from how things operate because of the potential for accusations of collusion.  As I just pointed out in my previous few posts, exchanges have been known to collude with developers to promote and trade networks that are now under SEC scrutiny.

I do things in a way that most crypto people consider "weird" because I try to avoid those kinds of conflicts of interest "just in case."  So far it's paid off quiet nicely, all things considered.  This also provides a good and ethical groundwork to not become the "Vitalik" of the networks I steward.

I will never object to community lead efforts to increase cryptomarket traction of the coin, in fact I encourage it.  Our slack channel is very active.  A link to the form is in the OP.  Build support. Create a campaign and execute it.

I am working on the primary use case and interfacing directly with the people who make the music industry work on a day to day basis.  That will provide the overall success of the network as it was launched.

We're a team.  I'm doing my part.  It might just be time the community begins to be less cloistered in slack and does theirs.

(hint hint  Grin)

Just to show I'm not full of shit, today's SEC warning specifically mentions closed source ICOs... like EBST.

https://www.investor.gov/additional-resources/news-alerts/alerts-bulletins/investor-bulletin-initial-coin-offerings

The guy behind EBST is the same guy behind VOX and a few other closed source projects.  He fled the country and is now living in Puerto Rico.

When I say an exchange is doing something dirty, I mean it.  Albeit this entire conversation with Bittrex happened earlier this year, but sometimes it takes the universe a little while to catch up with me. Smiley

Edit to add: this is also one of the guys behind MasterCoin, which ALSO triggered an SEC warning, making it two strikes for Mr. Terpin.

I had real hope for this project but at this point I don't know who to believe.   I lean towards Bryce but he seems to have a few fights with different people on twitter on a daily basis.  He isn't instilling much confidence with his behavior.   Basically these coins are just tech startups and it's best to invest in the person.   Bryce shows questionable temperament and judgment at pretty much every turn.  It's becoming hard to overlook it just because I like the project.  You are probably right about Livecoin Bryce but it's time you realize your actions effect all of us and our investment.
I've been in public for four years now.  I've never changed.  I say what I want and do what I want.  It's that mentality that has gotten us this far and continues to build value for this project.

It's the ability to stand up to what everyone outside this space sees as obvious hypocrisy and ignorance with logic and fact that endears me to those whom I am looking to serve with this project.

People inside this industry have never fully appreciated how utterly insane they sound to the rest of the world.  It has been and continues to be my distinct pleasure to bring sanity, fact, and common sense to the blockchain space...and not take shit from anyone because I don't have to. Wink

Bryce, Do you have 3 BTC to list TAO on Bittrex? I would like to have a larger market to trade it on while development and business is taking its time.

PS: Thanks for doing excellent!

Personally I'm against exchange extortion to list coins, but if the community wanted to collect the bribe and pay it I certainly wouldn't disapprove.  It's your network, too.

According to Bittrex-Bill it is free to list TAO on Bittrex, but you the developer have to contact them.

You can talk with them at: slack.bittrex.com
I contacted Bill personally months ago via email and it went poorly.

Full transparency: we had a falling out due to the ill-fated eBoost ICO, which saw one of the founders flee from the US to Puerto Rico and involved some of the notorious people in crypto.  Bittrex was manipulating the crowd sale behind the scenes on behalf of the network's founders, who are also the folks behind VOX, LSK, and TRIG... all of which enjoyed sponsored positions on Bittrex.  The network is one of those closed-source specials so there is no trusting any block explorer since nothing about the chain can ever truly be verified.

It's the same old song and dance that's gone on for months since that email conversation.  It's purely sour grapes and trying to assert some sort of machismo dominance because I caught them doing something shitty.

Perhaps now that it's coming to light why we aren't listed on Bittrex it will begin to blow over.

An update from Livecoin.
Everyone who has funds on Livecoin will be able to withdraw them July 28.

TAO NEWS
Created 17.07.2017 20:57
Since there is no active community and only 3 clients are concerning about this coin, we have to make a decision on our own. Developer have contacted us with accusations only and no constructive offers.
Blockchain of this coin is broken. A lot of transactions after getting 3+ confirms reversed into -1 confirms and thus became invalid. Beyond that, a developer related accounts applied malicious schemes which were described earlier. Eventually a half of a balance are gone. We will split the rest of amount between holders. Withdrawal will be opened after July 28. In the beginning of August this coin will be delisted.

Oh, and here is the news in the words of Mr potato head from the tao slack:

Ever since we disallowed withdrawals, there's been no activity. We only have 3 customers left. When the developer accused us of making a simple but rectifiable mistake, we decided to reject his charitable offers. Unfortunately for you we are instead making our own decisions. We don't understand how blockchains work. We lost half of all the tokens you entrusted us to hold. Something something +3 something something -1, thusly something something duuuuuhr. Beyond that sorry, not sorry for our malicious conduct. We kindly ask our last 3 customers to leave. But you can't leave yet because we'll continue to hold your coins hostage till July 28th. After that, despite a clean reset, we'll further shoot ourselves in the foot by delisting the coin entirely.

This is pretty accurate.  I repeatedly offered to help them replace their deficit.  And have ample screenshots of the repeated messages I sent to support that went unanswered.

We have proof they emptied accounts and then they denied it. They stole from people.

They are just lying to save face at this point.  That exchange is trash and I'm glad to be rid of them.

Hey, are there any updates or is there a roadmap?

There's a roadmap, alright.  It's a secret that everybody knows.

When blockchain technology first appeared the industry which it disrupted first was finance.  How it disrupted finance is what I and others had the privilege to participate in deciding.  We watched what sorts of things markets demanded and what sorts of enterprises became possible.

We noticed very early on that this same process was unfolding as blockchain technology invaded yet another industry, that industry being music.

From launch this project we have taken a position somewhat above and beyond whatever is the current narrative.  If one looks at how the narrative has changed in regard to blockchain tech and its application to music, there's a striking similarity between what this project and it's principals discuss in public and what suddenly becomes the next great feature other projects are standing on stage talking about.

That's for a few good reasons that aren't really obvious to the crypto space because of how they are used to seeing projects packaged for pump and dumps.  Yes, we have a technology stack to support everything we've claimed.  Yes, we've released demonstrations and proofs of concept of our stack such as bandnameblockchain.com.  Yes, we are interfacing with the very decision makers required on the inside of the music economy, from multi-platinum songwriters and performers to Pandora.

What we have not done is exactly spell out how we are going to execute our vision, and that's because we want everyone else to stake their claim first.  That's pretty much happened, and things are already in motion.  In order to preserve our market presence we will only reveal our plan once the ink is dry.

Papers are being drafted, agreements are being signed, and money is changing hands.  The engine has been primed and we shall be turning the key in the very act of revealing our go-to-market product.

Well I have 100 Xto here also , even if it's small amount I would like my coins back .  You guys know what's the funniest part , they stopped the deposits/withdrawals for Tao , because they say a lot of scams are involved , but they didn't stop the transactions for these coins , why is that ? Because of the fee for transactions ? Basically they cry out loud it's a scam and block our withdrawals/deposits and in the same time they make some profits from this coin ,  I find it funny...
The only thing even approaching a scam involved in XTO is the fact we are forced to deal with this nonsense from Livecoin.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XTO] Tao - Real Solutions for the Music Industry! on: June 30, 2017, 06:12:56 PM
Tao - scam and shitcoin, better if you remove all shitcoins like this shit from the exchange.

Tao dev some dev that made CRAVE coin and another shit.

I had nothing to do with CRAVE.  Are you serious?  Go away FUDster.

I have proof idiots. Cheesy If i public it price will go to 1 sat instantly.  Cool

Do you think your smart? hm... You scammer like another shitcoins builders.  Smiley

Bittrex?

securities not legal idiots. Forget Poloniex and Bittrex Grin

You're welcome to post anything you like.  That doesn't make it true.  I would be willing to testify in court, under oath, I had nothing to do with CRAVE.  In fact, that was a CryptoCobain project IIRC.

Let's see your evidence.  This should be hilarious.
