21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / help me start a new coin (TRC) TROLLCOIN on: November 28, 2013, 11:32:52 PM
i have the best idea.  i know it will be successful because people like memes and shit.  the idea is this- make a funcoin called trollcoin and have the sites totally memed out.  pure humor surrounding the coin, but have a super solid base infrastructure with a trollbox right on the trollcoin.org website

I need help with the programming of the wallet client and such.  i'm inexperienced in all this though.  I think we should just focus on stability and scarcity, no premining etc.  just make a solid coin that beats the others because we badass like that.

just an idea.

(trollface) in a coin.  its just fuckin funny

uh yeah this coin

http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/period-charts.php?period=10-days&resolution=hour&pair=fst-btc&market=cryptsy

I was just thinking about speed of transactions being an issue and checked fastcoin, seems like its gaining momentum.. and fast.  its gone up 10x in one week i guess

i see it two ways, for the pro's it is appealing to play on the speed of a transaction
cons
i guess speedy confirmations means less security.

kind of like fastfood.  its fast but not good for you.  does it work in this bullshit system of instant gratification?  yes.  i hate to invest in mcdonalds but its just a boat i have to put a little in just to see what happens
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the fastest coin out there? on: November 27, 2013, 03:09:22 AM
More blocks != more security, since the amount of work for each block is less...

I could make a 100 msec block coin, and we could all do double spends all day if we only made it 6 confs to spend.

point taken,
are you saying fastcoin has a vulnerability with double spends?
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the fastest coin out there? on: November 27, 2013, 03:07:33 AM
I really don't think speed matters as much as you're making it out.

definitely matters.  alot.  are you gonna sit on an old pc with windows 95 or get windows 8?  faster is better, time is money
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Fastcoin - FST - The Fastest coin so far in the market - is launched!! on: November 27, 2013, 02:49:51 AM
hey everybody, spacegoat here, I've been out of the scene for a while just got back, looking around at solid investments around, (I'm pretty good at making money, investing, just got a gnack for it i only discovered since making a whole lot of really good investments in a row, now i'm looking for other solid investments in this new market of exponentialities)

and I must say I love fastcoin, seems like the perfect investment right now.

I think it has the edge over other new coins as being fast, because everybody who actually uses these different cryptocoins knows how bad it sucks waiting an hour for 6 transactions.  I am actually waiting for one right now as I type this like ARG.  and fastcoin being the fastest has the edge over others because of the near instant transactions.  this is ESSENTIAL for any real currency that people use AS A CURRENCY.  waiting an hour for a transaction is absurdly annoying.  so bravo on filling this new niche.  BTC and LTC seem to be more of a reserve coin somewhat stable, but slow as fuuuuu

and now here, fastcoin is so new, and as people realise its simple common sense for faster speed, and how that is way important actually, and worth supporting, it will double and triple and quadruple and exponentially appreciate in value maybe 100X current stock.  just wait til it is recognized by btc-e as having something real to offer the community, and maybe even get a slot on the main chinese exchange, and gox.  so all you miners who are selling your gold i would think about holding onto it a bit harder.

and my vision of fastcoin going huge...
why would anybody care about this random other coin?

simple.
nearly instant transactions.  bingo.  bingo bingo

so I look forward to seeing fastcoin's development, I'm going to invest a little chunk of my chunk into it and assist in the development process of just raising awareness.

if anybody needs any advice on how to rock the kazbo I have a couple ideas.  the website design is sick, I love cheetahs. but its so out of left field, sort of how terracoin's website design was with the thumbs up asian dude.

it needs to blend in with the symbology style of BTC and LTC and what people know of as badass coins already.  but fastcoin must have a flaming edge over BTC and LTC symbol texture of gold and silver.  they are the metallic solid spirits in those coins, stable elements.  but fast coin is a cheetah, not only a cheetah, but a cheetah on fire.  not only a flaming hot fire cheetah but with lightning fast lightning shooting out of its eyes.  but it needs to be mettalic too.  but mettalic and on fire.  so fast its on fire.  speed flames.  put a racing stripe down the cheetah's face.  emphasize how fastcoin is FAST AS FUCK.  make youtube commercial playing on how fastcoin is faster than time itself.  it gets there before you even click it.  and trust me, you  make a youtube video as a commercial for one of these coins and you WILL get views.  tons.  fast coin is so easy to play off.  I see a platinum metallic badass cheetah with a fierce face of pure determination to be the fastest.  the only thing is, fastcoin has to be the fastest, the next coin might be some kind of hyperspeed coin that dwarves fast coin and takes its edge.  but fastcoin is pretty good, its there its been developed we can play off it, and it just may be perfectly fast enough.

we need a development team to develop some ideas, people good in accounting, marketing, and programming.  it will pay off for them.  there are many niches to fill and if fastcoin is going to be the actual cryptocurrency that people will use, we may as well develop services specific to fastcoin and fastcoin only because our services are too impatient for any other coin Wink which will increase fastcoins worth a shit ton.  especially when services are offered that BTC doesn't even offer..  and I have just the ideas.  I have two ideas that will be very luucrative.  insanely lucrative.  i just don't have the simple know how to make sure there aren't leaks in the boat because i'm fairly new to programming.  but if you know what you're doing i got the basic designs down you can easily build what I'm envisioning.  it should float and possibly fly...  probably need like 15Gs start up.  generate like 5 million a year.  that and establish fastcoin as the coin to actually use.  and the whole fastcoin community should back these developments.  I like opensource, it truly is the way of the future.  so for me i am down to share the blueprints and you can delegate profits between whoever runs the machine we will build, but as idea man i want 1/3 of profits to go to education funds around the world.

private message me if you're interested in discussing this stuff in detail, I'm really not interested in owning any idea as long as the idea benefits us all, the spirit of invention is key in new times like these.  i think with one really good programmer i could probably smooth out the rest with my little team of computer monkeys...  but yeah, way to go on a good idea.

gracias community for your hard work, fastcoin to lightspeed!
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the fastest coin out there? on: November 27, 2013, 02:28:52 AM
googling, and looking through, I find fastcoin, a coin designed to be fast

does anybody know about this coin?  why its good or why it sucks?  both sides of the story, I'm thinking about investing into it because it looks like it has a future once they work out the infrastructure.  its dirt cheap cuz its so new, but it seems to have a future if it does what it says it does.

id just like to open up the discussion on this.  I don't want to invest $100 into something that is just going to plummet, but if i invest it in this and it grows like i think something like this would it seems like a solid investment to get in early, way early.

but if the coin has a fatal flaw, I'd like to know too before i buy in.  so just seeing if anybody cares about this aspect of the cryptocoin usability.

i see there are other fast coins like stable coin.  stable coin sounds ... stable.  stability is nice.

but fastcoin, I think that it has it in the name, I think it will make it out of the sea of new coins with various complexities.

we live in a fastfood world man.  fastfood sells and it sells fast.  is fastcoin where its at?  I am pretty good at making good investments and it seems like a pretty solid investment to get into fastcoin early.  pro's con's?  anybody?

with gratitude

I am SOOO sick and tired of waiting an hour for a coin to go through man.

it is just stupid, litecoin is pretty tolerable, but its still too slow.  when you gotta run and you are actually making transactions with people in realtime, waiting an hour for a transaction is nerve racking sometimes.  imagine waiting an hour for the cashier at bestbuy to process your credit card.  no chance, and that makes these coins silly for actual realtime use.  until they make a coin that is near instant in transaction time, they won't be adopted as real currency.

BTC is like an hour for a transaction
LTC is like 20 minutes
feathercoin i imagine is like 10 minutes(still too slow)

has anyone made any developments on speeding up the transaction time?  because that is the coin that will win.  you can't order fast food with bitcoin.  nobody in their right mind would wait an hour for a burger.  may as well grill your own in that time.  somethings gotta be done where the transaction is as instant as a webpage takes to load.

just my 2 cents

33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LITECOIN SURGES BREAKS $1 with "dark energy" momentum on: April 21, 2013, 11:59:31 AM
OP, what do you mean by "dark energy" momentum.

Glad I bought in at .08 btc/ltc!

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / whats the scoop on litecoin and gox? I saw cryptocoincharts.info lists gox? on: April 18, 2013, 04:38:33 PM
do they know something we don't over at cryptocoincharts.info?   because under litecoin they've added a mtgox graph which as of yet is  nothing.

is litecoin actually going to hit gox?  I thought it was a rumor but now it seems its true. that's going to be crazy, if its true that will be a great day for litecoin.  anybody know when that will be?

anybody have cold hard facts on the situation?  I'd like to know and I'm sure others would like to know too.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / metacoin on: April 17, 2013, 07:10:37 AM
once we figure out a flawless system of decentralized currency uncollapsable and completely fair for all beings, I propose we call it metacoin, inspired by metacoin a btc-e user.

anybody familiar with s.n. goenke?  he offers free meditation retreats that'll rock your life with ancient wisdom.  he feeds you and houses you for 10 days of silence and teaches you the original meditation technique of the buddha "vipassana" which takes 10 days to absorb(in silence), and in all honesty its more potent than any psychedelic.  because your awareness goes molecular.  but in order to see the cities of life going on inside you must quiet your mind and learn to listen to the subtle realities.  its flippin awesome.  I participate in the retreats often, they are offered worldwide.  it comes from myanmar, the original technique has been lost for 2,000 years, india lost vipassana!  and it was in hiding in burma, or myanmar, this land:

and in 1972 it reemerged.  if you actually participate you will experience mystical reality unlike anything you have ever experienced I guarantee it..  and they charge nothing to teach you, their beautiful sanctuaries are run on donations, and they thrive because they change people's lives so deeply, people give alot to keep it alive and strong after they benefit greatly from the course.  but you have to follow their code of conduct, and they feed you all you can eat buffets every meal,  best I've ever been fed in my life.

anyway, as an old student they will teach you meta meditation, which is another very interesting meditation technique, basically loving kindness towards all beings visible and invisible, and it reconnects you to the grid of life in a profound way.  forgiving others and seeking forgiveness.  they call that loving kindness radiation "meta"

and so metacoin I think is my favorite concept for a coin.

for anyone interested in getting a serious dose of life force and wisdom from one of the greatest ancient lineages in tact in existence

visit www.dhamma.org and register for a meditation course near you.  it will change your life forever.  if you end up taking me up on it and sitting a course, let me know I'd love to hear about it.

I've turned on hundreds to vipassana already and nobody regrets it.

dhamma.org

also there is a great film on the technique called "the dhamma brothers."  they brought the teachings into one of the worst alabama prisons and helped prisoners find meaning its a really great movie.

just crossed my mind.

Metacoin,  its sort of catchy

well, with much meta

i am doing short sells and its really inconvenient for the site to stop working.  totally lame.  is it just me or is it everybody?
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terracoin Price Recovering on BTC-e on: April 16, 2013, 01:51:44 PM
true, the rarity of TRC was always appealing to me.  simple supply demand numbers make it look real nice, but nonetheless, investors and interest still need to be had in the coin...  otherwise 2 million is alot

what terracoin really needs is some kind of application, or some merchant that will take terracoin.  terracoin road, or something of that sort.  preferably not in illegal goods.

the illegal goods thing sort of turns alot of people off these cryptos.  if they could just be appealing in some other fashion that would be great...

like chinese slave road.  oh wait that's illegal isn't it.  chinese endentured servant road?
