MiM scams are much older than bitcoin, bitcoin just make them worse cause the fraudster leaves less traces and law enforcers in general are still very ignorant on it and tend to try to close cases too quickly. Anyway always ask for verifications on who is paying and for what (the procedures varies depending on the payment method), like some photo of the deposit receipt with some sentence hand-written on top which leaves no doubt about the nature of the transaction (like "deposit for xx bitcoin purchase from xxx to be sent to address xxxxx") and maybe the id of the buyer on the side. And always keep a record of all the chats and evidence.

Esatto, non è nemmeno legale quindi se lo fai non potresti fare valere nulla in caso non ti ripaghino. Al massimo puoi pararti con i collateral ma vanno scelti accuratamente e in genere non te li danno.

Purtroppo ho questa brutta cosa dell'etica.

Capitato solo una volta, non a me ma a un collega: primo scambio regolare e secondo piu' alto con banconote fascettate fac-simile (scritta nascosta dalla fascetta). Tentativo abbastanza maldestro andato male ovviamente.

Piu' che altro c'è il rischio che ti facciano fare lo scambio in luogo appartato per poi aggredirti e riprendersi i soldi, anche se abbastanza raro.

Non direttamente, devi rivolgerti a venditori privati (ad esempio nella sezione mercato valute qui), ma comunque quasi mai viene accettata la ricarica online per vari rischi legati a truffe e riciclaggio.

La cosa davvero scoraggiante è che mettono in croce la gente onesta ma a questi farabutti non fanno quasi mai nulla.

Vanno trattati come gioco d'azzardo della piu' rischiosa categoria, nulla piu'.

Questo specialmente, situazione dalla quale è difficile tutelarsi con il "dolo eventuale" che ti affibbiano, finche' qualche sentenza non fara' precedente in Italia, spero a favore degli exchangers. Veramente una cosa paradossale.
