21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 6-Win Challenge - AntiMartingale Strategy 0.02 BTC giveaway at end of 7 wins on: June 21, 2017, 08:44:37 PM
I kinda like the anti martingale strategy!

The risk/reward ratio is very good imo and you only ever stand to lose 1 unit per streak.

Do you always finish the whole 7 bet string or do you sometimes top after say 3 wins?

I have currently set my win rate to 7 bet streak.

3 is fine too if you are following these games. But 7 is when you get the best profit. We have our first win. Tonight game is

eSports - CS:GO - Hellcase CupSpartak (map 1) v Epsilon (map 1) -  Match: Epsilon (map 1) -2.5

at 1.868 odds.

If we win we will be at third step tomorrow.

I have a question. So I see a lot of money has been collected, but is it possible to verify the funds using wallet addresses for the deposits ?

When do the signature campaign get paid out ?

Also pleas reach out to sportsbettors. Only then can I see the value of this coin going up. Without them it will go below ICO price.

Can someone explain to me the 2 factor authentication process on Wagerr? I thought it would be some kind of thing where they send you an SMS code but when I click onto it it comes up with a QR code? I'm a bit hesitant to set it up unless I know exactly what it will do
[/quote]
Usually thats what is 2-factor authorization. Just scan the QR code and for future use the code they give you on the website

I won't be waiting for that to happen too long. Its not like a chance game with a massive house edge.

I am going to post my first bet of the series again today

Murray vs Wawrinka - Murray + 1.5 set
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Official Thread for Tether ? on: June 08, 2017, 02:06:30 AM
Read (carefully) the terms of service at tether.to/legal. You're in for a rude awakening.

Is the point you referring to Anti-Money laundering ?

How would they actually keep a check on that ? And do they have control to pull out tether from a particular wallet ?

No, forget the money laundering. It's the part about tethers being totally at their discretion as to whether they decide they're worth anything. Also their banking relationships are screwed.

There's no shortage of places with real dollars and you're not depending on an anonymous companys good will ,or lack of.

Well tbh, My point was not to get the money into my real account right away because no one in my family knows about it.

What do you mean by places with real dollars? I would obviously have to convert to usd and pay taxes right away. Correct ?
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: not even a scam on: June 08, 2017, 02:04:56 AM
But if they have the ability to pull out coins from someone's wallet who does that

To my knowledge... the Omni layer, which is what Tethers are issued on, does not have this feature.

You are right. Someone just answered my question about Tether on another thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1956181.msg19428993#msg19428993

Actually it is indeed screwed up. Can't trust them with my btc it seems.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: not even a scam on: June 08, 2017, 01:41:32 AM
I was thinking of using Tether as a dollar proxy in trading swings in BTC and others.
That should work better when most cryptos go up and down at the same time.
It has 100 million units and good volume. Should be fine for risking small amounts of
money for a few days between buying/selling other cryptos.

Someone just pointed me out to a clause in their Terms and COnditions, saying that it should not be used for money laundering. I am unsure what all does that cover. But if they have the ability to pull out coins from someone's wallet who does that, then it would be the most stupid investment ever.

it actually went to 1.08 but could have gone higher someone mentioned 1.13. at the last big crash the price was high, when bitcoin pumps it dropped a bit, you start to see a pattern.

It has never gone to 1.13 from what I have seen on the price graph. The maximum it has touches seems to be 1.05 usd , and the lowest has been around 0.91 usd. Also instead of dropping, it actually seems to have gone up with bitcoin increasing. maybe because of the increase in investments when people want to leave bitcoin at such high prices.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: not even a scam on: June 08, 2017, 12:25:40 AM
Tether has faced tons of problems with American banks, then what happened? Its value downed to $0.90, after some time its value went above $1.00. What is the thing determining its price? They would say one tether is always one dollar...

Isn't that the point though, to keep its value close to 1$, so in the future people can always rely on it to keep the value preserved. It is still averaging around 1$ as of today. I am curious to know as well, how are the swings decided, because somedays there is just no demand for it, and it can't crash so far down.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs altcoins, will they survive? on: June 08, 2017, 12:23:59 AM
Absolutely going to survive. I feel the famous altcoins will be surviving longer than the ones lesser known. Altcoins like Ethereum specially will go long. Bitcoin has to survive because of the largest market cap and most people in cryptos only know about that. We are only waiting for ETF to approve it.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Official Thread for Tether ? on: June 08, 2017, 12:21:34 AM
I am looking to convert by bitcoin into tether for not playing on the volatility in the market right now. Does anyone know if Tether would be a good option for that ?

Also does anyone know where is their official thread on bitcointalk to read up more about it ?
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alticoins competiting with ethereum would be worth putting eyes now. on: June 08, 2017, 12:19:57 AM
Never heard about any of these coins except for Waves. I highly doubt something will overcomes Ehtereum at this stage. There are just too many coins in the market, and Ehtereum already delivered on its promised upto a huge extent. So by investing your money on the next big ETH you are just risking your money.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: not even a scam on: June 08, 2017, 12:18:29 AM
I am thinking of converting my bitcoin into tether right now due to the high price. Anyone knows where I can find the ANN thread for them here on bitcointalk. Wanted to see some discussions before making the purchase and risking all my bitcoins with it.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] [ICO] [WGR] | Wagerr | The Betting Blockchain | Bounties on: June 08, 2017, 12:15:51 AM
Wagerr has raised 5.25 million dollars in just 6 days. The ICO continues!

This thing is gonna moon, 3400 ico buyers... this is fantastic.

We're now at 3652 participants in Round 14.  The dev team had a well thought out plan on how their ICO should be run.

I also like the 50k buy limit per transaction for the initial rounds so the whales didn't scoop up the entire offering.   No Black Friday Wal-Mart scramble like the BAT ICO.

Is it me or is this participation level really high? To me this speaks volumes to its future potential.
It is indeed very high. All other ICO's right now are seeing around 600-700 participants. But this has been over 4K with so many rounds yet to come. I am sure this will be a big sell out by the end of it all. Lets see.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 6-Win Challenge - AntiMartingale Strategy 0.02 BTC giveaway at end of 7 wins on: June 08, 2017, 12:15:12 AM
Anti-martingale is worst than martin gale itself! Just to illustrate

1. Win  - +1 units
2. Win  - +2 units
3. Win  - +4 units
4. Lose - -8 units

Result: -1 units

Another example,

1. Win  - +1 units
2. Win  - +2 units
3. Win  - +4 units
4. Win  - +8 units
5. Win  - +16 units
6. Win  - +32 units
7. Lose - -64 units

Result: -1 units

In the event you lose, you'll always have -1 units.

It maybe worse. But not if you can make good bets to win 7 times in a row soon. So If I was rolling 1000 rolls then i would hit 7 times winning streak very less in normal gamble. But if my picks win sooner i can probably hit in 100. So its better.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚽ [ICO] BETOPEN-INVEST IN BETOP AND GET SHARE OF PROFITS ! +15% ON FIRST DAY ! ⚽ on: June 07, 2017, 03:58:20 AM
How i can invest in this ico?
I got a message that it was delayed and will resume soon. Waiting to hear back from them on this thread.
I wonder what the reason for the delay is. Nothing concerning but a reply on the thread mentioning the delay would have been good.

The First Golden Ticket raffle draw for Rounds 6-10 is starting live in a few minutes!

Haha that was funny.

I am actually surprised they sold so much of it myself. Did not expect to see such a massive response to the coin on selling right away in the first rounds.

Dev twitter campaign still open?

It is not, I remember seeing the dates that it was going to be open and available for signup only from 27th of last month to the 30th of the month. I still see a lot of meme tweets.
