I see some posts that V8 reached hardware limits and there is no way to improve speed anymore. It's not true.
I'm working on new version with another good speedup, though it takes more time and efforts.

Maybe a little bit to early for the F5   Roll Eyes  Grin  Tongue

Already looking forward to it  Wink Cool

Great work!

hello, anyone have a bios mod for rx480 asus dual 4gb? thanks

Check pages between 90 and 100 i think there is one you can download save for the 4gb rx 480 just need to config youre mem clock if you want to overclock it
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v8.0 on: November 24, 2016, 02:04:13 PM
If i overclock the my rx 480's it run but only for 30 seconds on the wall the power say 920watts rolling on my rm 1000x
If i put the clock down i get 750 watts on the wall and it is stable and still mining
On v7.0 i had with the down clocks 745 watts and with the up clock 916 watts
Why are my rig now crashing with the up clock its only +- 4 watts more than before.
I  have gived a try from -i 0 till 5 on all clocks with v8.0 but the same isue

Is it maybe the power box rm 1000x thats on his limit and is that the reason why i now  get thread stuck in device with v8.0?

Someone how can confirm this to me?

v8.0:

- improved speed by about 15-25% (depends on card model). Up to 300H/s on stock 390X.
- added "-i 5" and "-i 6" values, 1-2% speedup, but can be unstable in some cases.
- now remote management is working in read-only mode by default.
- some bug fixes and minor improvements.

This is where i bought mine from, they come from Texas (USA) so shipping is fast in the USA.

Also a good one mainly for the USA much faster for his shipments than the other one sometimes can last 15-30 days

Im mining with:

PC ---- mb: MSI Z97 G55 / CPU: i7 4790K  / 12GB Kingston hyperX1600 Mhz ram  / Win 7 pro 64bit

3x MSI R9 390 gaming 8 GB (no bios modding)

each getting 232-236 H/s stable

OC Settings with Grimson v16.10.3:

GPU clock:   +10% = 1144 Mhz
Power limit: +10%
Memory clock: 1650 Mhz

I would like to ask what is my problem. The rig gets restarted in about 12-16 hours. I see that GPU2 is hashing 0 but i use the same settings on another rig with 390s and there is no such a problem.

Many thanks for any advice....

Anyone nows what the r9 390x from Gigabyte or the r9 290x from msi is doing? Speeds and watts please

I can't speak for the x versions but I have a sapphire nitro 390 (2x 8pin for serious overclocking space) and an asus strix, both seem to hover around 240h/s I don't like the idea of pacing them too hard, since I'd rather have them mine pretty quiet at ~60-65c and prolong their use -25mv and -40mv, 1100 core, nothing extreme. I think the 390x should get around 255h/s the 290x should fetch slightly less from what i've been reading. my guess is the power draw is quite polite but i don't have a wattmeter to verify. probably between 180-230 watts. my guess is with the right power mod bios you can get it lower if you're willing to do your homework.

I run my R9 390 at 950MHz/1250. The hash rate is about 200H/s. So it is very quite and the fan is below 30%.

I have seen the price for the r9 390 and its well ToDo against the 390x. So maybe @ the end of the month i start the build with these gains. It's something different than always the rx 480's.
Thanks for statics Wink

Anyone exp this.  Miner will show tons of shares being submitted but nothing accepted.  This happen to me on flypool so I switch to coinmine. But now I'm thinking maybe is glitch. If I teamview in and press s for statistics after showing the stats it will only show a few shares being accepted but many being submitted.  I've only seen this on my msi gaming 5 'mobo with 6x480 with powered USB risers.

yes and I posted few pages ago: Provider/Network quality(upload) made that to half my rigs ( same rigs at two places, one working like that, other perfect ). And I did other test: turn of half rigs and other half now has accepted shares

Interesting.  That would make sense as I'm on sat net at home. And that is the rig effected.  Hmmm. Never has been an issue for me in the past. Got some troubleshooting to do I guess

Thanks

Test 2: switch to eth and everything is fine. Like less traffic.
i responded to a post further back about a fault using v7 that caused internet to crash, strange as miner keeps working after reporting error but I can not reach outside websites after it happens I rebooted rigs to solve problem but I get the warning still regularly in v7 software,as I am not alone with this issue Claymore will be looking into it as he reads the thread so watch out for a fix soon.

I had the same probs the evening after i just upgraded to v.7.0 the internet was falling out after 10 min., then also the gpu was doing strange after a while getting 0 h/s. After a while looking to fixt this i came out with one bad riser, a bad stock internet cable ( after i had a new cable the internet issue was gone), and my virtual memory that was back on stock setting after my new windows so i fixed all these things and now v7.0 is running with 50 watts less and 5% more hash speeds than v6.0 for the rx 480 4gbs. Running for 30 hours stable with each 2 houres payout on flypool 0.01zec so this all worked for me maybe it helps to somebody else to.

Just dowloaded the v7.0 but if i start them after 5 minutes the internet falls out and see socket can't connect 10054 Huh The internet normaly is working because i can with the phone on the wiffi, Is there something that i can do about this isue? I'm mining on -i 2 because that works the best for me at least in v6.0 where it was 34hours stable @ -i 4 my rig crashed always with the thread stuck in device driver also in v6.0

I was reading about the cpu that i have its a G3258 with stock 3.2 GHz  but it seems like this cpu can be overclocked to 4.7 GHz and sometimes even higher but what i was wondering if i overclock this one will it be effective, will i see some higher Hash speeds in my rig? Somebody maybe already did this or somebody how nows that this will give something more in the rig? For gaming it will be better but will this also for zcash mining @ this higher block rates?

Hello everybody,
I just bought today 2 extra cards now i should have 5 cards in my rig but there is some problem with the instal off the 5th card, i've read some thing on the internet and try them out but still nothing is working
I use windows 8.1 and 4 cards are working
In the bios i see the 5 cards are pluged in but in the device manager i only see 4 cards and no errors..
I tried to switch them but still see 4 cards, i also tried other risers but still the 5th card isn't showing up. Changing in the bios from onboard modus to pcie express also isn't working. The cards are all new and works but not on the same time, i'm on a 1200w box think thats enough to load them up.my motherboard is assrock h97 anniversary. I read linux and windows 10 will works directly out the box with all cards but i will not chance to linux and i also have no windows 10 right now.. the links from litecoin en gobitgo i already have seen and youtube i'm not finding much.. somebody how nows this issue and maybe could give me some tips i  maybe also can try?  Huh

I believe you have two options:

1 - Remove your drivers with DDU (http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html) in safe mode, reboot and reinstall AMD latest drivers.

2- If the previous solution doesn't work try this: https://lbr.id.lv/6xgpu_mod/6xGPU.html

Final solution: Upgrade your rig to Windows 10!

Thanks for the help guys!
Okey seems like there is move on in the device manager i now see the 5 gpu!!! It's having an error code 43. But i'm already happy to see this its more then 10 minutes ago when there where just 4 gpu's  Cheesy

thanks for the help but same result crash

You maybe overclocking with the wrong settings. Memclock 2200 and Memvoltage 1100 works fine here. ZEC needs different values as ETH.

I had the same prob today, but with setting this in the start file and config file -di 0123 -mport 0 -i 2
The isue was fixed after this also i changed the mclock to 1100mv now the rig is rolling fine without errors

Putting in my two cents.

XFX RX480 8GB x6(stock) - crashes at "-i 2." Currently testing default settings to see if rig crashes again. *EDIT* Rig crashes on stock settings and default intensity. I would also like to add that at 4 GPUs the rig was stable, I just added two more cards tonight, and now I'm experiencing the crashing. Any ideas?  I have PCI set to Gen 2, is Gen 1 necessary?  This rig has a cheapo dual core cpu, 4gb of ram and h81 btc mobo.

MSI RX480 8gb x4(Memory clock 2200, Core clock stock) - Runs fine, no crashes. "-i 2" setting.

you can open task manager to see what the cpu is doing. my cpu is also 2core and i'm on 88% -i 2
If the cpu runs @ 100% on -i 2 its not pretty good  it will be better to try -i 0 or -i1

I'm running for cupple houres now with my rx 480 4gb rig and the max peak i have seen in my rig was 86 H/s and mostly i get 82-83 H/s stable each card with devfee enable. I have already mod. Timings on the rx 480 4gb with pentium anniversary 3.3gb using windows 8.1and have have the mem clock from stock 1750mhz clocked to 1950mhz on 1000mv powerlimit 50%. Are there some suggestions to do even better? I've seen that there would be 90 possible. Maybe someone can do even better/higher than the 90H/s on the 4gb? I would love to now ^^
