FFS, Cryptsy is a about the worse in exchanges recently. every time there is a little rally on MEC, cryptsy goes offline for the market to cool down. Talk about frustrating. Cant buy, cant sell. cant get your coin back from canceled orders. Lol its a joke. Amateur hour.

I remember when FTC got their auction site, and I think it was a real boost for them. We are doing our best to try and present something that will set the standard for all auction sites, and this one will only use crypto-currency. I can't spill any details yet, or even make any promises other than say we have been working on it since early April and still have a lot to do.
One thing I will say is the site will use only Megacoin, Bitcoin, Litecoin, and possibly CGB.
Your Killing me. I would love to see this crypto wet dream come online now! It would be nice to be able to set the auction to only accept a certain coin at listing time. I would rather help promote MEC more than LTC or BTC. I dont even have any excitement over CGB. sorry. |

Anyone have any suggestions on a 600x90 Megacoin Header ad to put up on CryptoLife? Should run it for the rest of the year  Sounds like a waste of resources. Too bad Cryptolife has no credibility, but some people are gluttons for punishment. I was talking to VR4mines this morning, and we are thinking about making some bumper stickers. Something like "Got Megacoin?" with the URL under it. There will also be a web advertising campaign to coincide with the launch of the new store. I want a small stack of those bumper stickers. |

Thanks for the info. With the recent price drop on AMD graphics cards, and cool weather arriving, I hope to build a few more mining systems this fall. Might even have a chance to take a miner offline, and get in a little gaming. Damn sounds like a good idea. Currently 32 C here (90F) wishing for some rain. In the summer when it's 100F, it isn't the best mining weather.  It was a long, hot summer... The extra air conditioning makes any hope of short term profit impossible. It still hits 90F in the day now, but we are getting into the 40's at night. Who needs a fireplace when you have mining computers. This winter I plan to heat my home mining MΣC. I have the same problem, My miners have been off all summer. This spring when It started to warm up I was greeted with a 600 dollar power bill. Most of it AC to keep them puppies from melting down. Hardly profitable. |

You can't really argue with facts. For example, here is what a good launch looks like. Now consider the fact that this coin was launched with a horrific looking logo, and without source code, to deter miners. Who do you think mined the bulk of these coins? None other than kimoto himself. The difficulty chart supports my claim, as the difficulty only rose to 0.03 by day 2. This very low difficulty could only be maintained if there was a very low hashrate. This low difficulty persisted for a week until the source code was released. Kimoto lined his pockets with millions of megacoins, and has somehow tricked you into thinking this coin was launched fairly. Very clever on his part. This is all publicly verifiable data pulled from the blockchain. Investigate, and you will come to the same conclusion that I have. You had ample opportunity to mine the coin at release. I did. Early adopters always win. Just like all the early adopters who mined bitcoin/litecoin. I have asics on order that will never pay for themselves but such is the crypto game. Hell Hazzard, I even mined some of your coin's Made some money on them too. Just because MEC was designed backwards to what you would like to see, does not make it wrong. All crypto is experimental. Mec is an experiment that well, seems to be working. Regardless of the horrid looking Icon, a couple day delay in source code release (where you could have run it in a VT). Kimoto's strategic use of the litecoin port to purposely cause a problem and therefore attention (yes, it was done on purpose). all of it, part of the game. I can see some genius in the madness. |
