Mining for just over 24 hours now. When are the payouts?

Ya too bad, better luck next time tho.

So it seems I had a typo in my username:
1Hg1Kd2Nn7UvzmDURTieo6WF7UNvZEQREb
supposed to be
1Hg1Kd2Nn7UvzmDURTieo6WF7uNvZEQREb (the u towards the end)

So I haven't received any payouts. I noticed this a couple days ago and corrected it, and kept mining to see if it would resolve itself, but it seems I'm still not getting payouts. Interestingly, both addresses/usernames go to the same stats page, so I wonder if it's still trying to use the first address with the typo? I know I could just use a new wallet going forward, but is there any way this could be fixed? It'd be a shame to lose that massive .03BTC I've built up Tongue

If he doesn't see this you should send a PM to terk, he's pretty good about fixing this but it might take a few days.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: FACTS about Multipools and why you shouldn't mine on them on: March 26, 2014, 03:01:55 AM
Solution: Quit making SHITCOINS and the Multipools will vanish.

As long as there are shitcoins to rape and pillage, the Multipools will continue to do so.

Here here.  It's time to cull the herd.  I say multi-pools team up to crush all the crap coins.  Consolidate crypto a bit, will help level things out across the market.   Let the strong survive.  If your coin has a decent following and the hash behind it, it will weather the storm.  All the other ScamyMcCryptocoins deserve to go away tho.

What ever came of the re-direct thing from the last few days?  I wasn't affected, but it was interesting to read about...

...In addition, that hardware is going to be worth only a small fraction of what he paid for it initially by the time it becomes obsolete.

All of our hardware, GPUs included, will be worth only a small fraction of what we initially paid for it by the time it becomes obsolete.

How much do you really believe your video cards will fetch on ebay when they are lost within thousands upon thousands of other video cards just like them for sale by former miners just like you?  Have the recent events in the scrypt mining world taught us nothing about the economic laws of supply and demand and how markets function?

It must be said though, this isn't completely true.     Look back almost exactly 1 year.   ASICs were just hitting the BTC world, and everyone claimed the same scenario.   Lots of people closed out their GPU rigs and sold them, but the market didn't "flood".

Also you need to factor in resale because it's legit in recouping costs.   I bought 25 of the little 1st gen 333Mh USB miners in late Aug for about $13-$15 each.  They happily mined away making me (some) BTC through the spike in Dec, when I sold them for $45-$55 each.
Made a profit and they made me money from mining.   Even if I had waited, and held them until now I could fetch around $13 each still.

I've got cards that have been mining hard for over a year, they are starting to show their age.  I sell them on eBay, saying I mined on them, and people are still willing to pay 75-90% of what I paid.  Each 7950 I sell fetches around $350 on eBay and has easily made me $1,000 in mining profit over the last 18 months.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 23, 2014, 12:55:28 AM
Can clevermining use algo like Keccak and others and look at whatmine.com for the switch?

Heh. No. Definitively, obviously not.

Check yourself. Put 25ghs in the scrypt field, "25000000". Look at the volume (coin / day column) that would be mined if we slapped 25ghs on it and then look on the volume column. You'll see that if we mine it for even few minutes we'll destroy 99% of these coins.

Actually, maybe that would be a good thing..  Cull the herd so to speak....

Any updates on the US west and Asia servers?
28  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: March 18, 2014, 03:04:45 PM
Cex has no Vardiff implemented. You can manually change it in the Workers page.

I can't speak for BTC but it does have some form of Vardiff on the LTC pool.  When I boot a 1.2MH rig onto the pool it starts at 16 but settles at 64 after a few min.

/edit   Or were you referring to the leased mining option?
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 18, 2014, 03:01:30 PM
Hi All,
Just switched to my 2.5Mh/s Rig to clevermining. After more than an hour, my Rejects around 4.5%. I am using the same settings that i use to have for other mining pools and my rejects were between 0.5 & 1%. I am currently pointing to EU server and my ping times are more than 200 ms as i am current in South Africa.

Any ideas what i can do to reduce the reject ?

Thanks

That's a great question and a topic that really hasn't been discussed in this thread at all.    Perhaps you should read through this thread, starting at around page 100, you might get some hints.....

Of course we mine LTC if it's profitable.

There is no possibility to get LTC payouts at this moment, I might work on it in a future.

I find it hilarious that Elasticband has over 300 posts.  90% of them are back to back one line replies in this thread.

I think you are confusing activity with post count  Roll Eyes more like about 1-2%. For valid reason i might add, at this point due to cex.io incompetence my mining shares have been offline for around 50 blocks, resulting in a loss of over 0.5btc.

Woah woah!  Slow down there!  That was a lot of content for one post.  Perhaps next time you could split that up into 5 or 6 posts like you usually do.

Is it possible to see what coin getting mined atm. ?

No.  The pool operator has stated many times that he will not list this.  http://www.clevermining.com/faq
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 14, 2014, 06:15:58 AM
so for the past little while we have been below the profitability of mining LTC.

can anyone explain to me how this could happen? could it just be variance for an entire 24hour period? if the metric by which the site measures profitability is against LTC, then surely we should never be below the profitability of LTC because once it hits that point...shouldnt the site just switch to mining LTC (assuming that its on the coin list)?

You are assuming a 100% strike rate on finding blocks for LTC.   Just like any coin, there can be long periods without finding a block (and vise-versa)...  While mining LTC, even with all this hash power, we may not have found many blocks.  It's luck.

Look at the 24 hour chart for CleverMining. Wonder where they are going?

Have you not been been reading the last few pages of this thread from today?  It's clear where everyone is going (and going to be for 6 more days)....

Also what's up with the USA Oregon server load?  Super low..... (And NY way up).

/Edit  After reading your post history you clearly are aware of what's up... You just were posting a troll post...  Well played.

The automatic payout doesn't work on my account. The "ready for payout" increases every day, but nothing happens.

1HXvkUiEbJSbFTifpf7Cbq4QpPjdRPMao6

Payouts have changed recently (check a few pages back) they are now done daily for balances over 0.01 and weekly for smaller.

I'm waiting since 3 days for an payout. Yesterday my balance was above 0.05. There must be a bug.

No you just typed in your address wrong. There's probably a capitol letter where there shouldn't be or something.  If you read through....Really any random page in this thread someone complains about what you are complaining about, then someone corrects them, then Terk shows up and says "send me a PM and I'll fix your mis-typed address when I get a chance".

Congrats.  You're that guy for Page 120.

If there's anything the world has an endless supply of, it's idiots.

We may be in a slump, but there's a sucker born every minute... So the market for brand new coin-of-the-week (read CRAP) will bounce back.

The market will always exist, I just suspect newer coins will flame out faster, and they won't last.   This time next year there will only be a handful remaining from now, and all new ones will be based on different algorithms as multi-pool will kill script coins. (as the alt-SHA market is nearly dead thanks to ASICS).
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 09, 2014, 11:33:40 PM
I think what we are kind of getting at is that crap coins are in a slow decline, (the market was just flooded for the last 6-7 months) and people are starting to wake up and realize this.  Hence there isn't as much demand for them anymore as the the whole crypto market is cooling.   It's no big deal really, we've seen this before, but it's happening.  Take last year.  Big run up starting around now, culminating with BTC topping out at the insane $200+ level for a few days.  People went crazy, and then it burst, and settled down around around 50% of it's peak ($100-$150) for awhile.  It SLOOOOOOOOWLY crawled up until late Sept-early Oct and then bubble 2 started (at least, bubble 2 of 2013).  Blew up, popped, and settled in around 50% of what it peaked at again, this time to around $550-$650.  The second bubble really was in the media, and people hopped on in droves to get in on this Alt coin bandwagon, hoping for the next BTC.  It's been about 3-4 months, no one is getting rich, people who aren't really "in it" are backing out.  There is consolidation in the market on the coins that actually hold promise.  Like it or not, Multi-pool mining is helping this consolidation, by killing off the coins no one really wants.  The only value in 90% of the crap coins created is false hope, pumped by speculators looking to take advantage of idiots.

The less idiots out there, the less value in crap coins.  Less value in crap, less point in multi-mining.

BTC Bubble spring 2013  -> Value up times ten, settles at around 50% of max.   Bubble late 2013, Value up times ten of previous bubble "settle price", but bubble pops again and settles at 50% of the max, ($1,250 down to around $650.)

Based on unscientific math and speculation using the previous bubbles as trends: The next bubble will be in Aug-sept.  BTC will top out between $5,000-$7,000 but will fall down to around $2,500-$3,000 and settle there until the next bubble around 9 months later.  Rinse, repeat. (hopefully).
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 09, 2014, 10:28:23 PM
So, let's take a step back...

If you add up the hash rate of middlecoin, wafflepool and clevermining, that's about 60 Gh/s give or take the odd 5. There's other coin switching pools with or without direct BTC conversion and I'm sure some of them are significant, but hey-ho, you get my drift.

On the other hand, we have litecoin and dogecoin which might be around the 200 Gh/s mark. *Crucially*, everything else feathercoin, worldcoin et. al are down at the 5Gh/s or so level.

So, here we all are. Moaning about the BTC/Mh/Day. Haven't we caused the problem. Collectively?

The profits are down because several of coin switching algorithms are all doing similar things (see poolpicker for FACTUAL evidence), the OPs can't create profit because the profit isn't there. The profit isn't there because (a) the pools are too big to hit the small coins and therefore (b) there's a requirement to convert whatever there is to BTC - and that requires someone to actually want piles of crapcoins nobody wants. Am I missing something here ?

I can imagine that people with 100's of BTC from the early days want to diversify, which drove things for a while.  but there has to be a limit doesn't there ??

It is noticeable that H20 has been carrying 200 BTC of uselessness for ages on middlecoin - so even his back door trades have dried up. We are lucky, we have an organised and transparent OP, but the guy can't create money out of nothing. If there is no demand not much we can do...

Or...Is it all down to thousands of gridseeds coming online ? The litecoin hashrate keeps going up and I can't believe it's all down to AMD selling loads of 290s..

So what do you think ? Is the current profitablity just a blip, or have the big coin switching pools simply forced us to accept what we all know. CrapCoins are crap Huh

This is dead on.  Multipool mining enjoyed a very short window of life, but was/is so successful that it's going to kill itself.  Evidence?
60Gh pointed on and off on LTC the last few days made for a huge increase.  Sure enough as soon as the difficulty skyrocketed the multi pools dropped off and there is a 20% drop expected next change.  If the multi pool market does die, LTC is will get hard as hell to mine.  60GH would add around 60% more hash to the total network, and the Dif will skyrocket.  All these crap coins can't handle going from 60Gh to 5megahash in seconds.  Multipool kills coins.

Crap coins are crap, everyone knows it, but crypto seems to have this massive "emperor has new clothes" effect.  Everyone wants in on crapcoins early, so they can pump and dump to BTC.  Who really is going to want to use Ketteh coins?  BTC (and hopefully LTC) will survive, just because of the market forces behind them. (And maybe Doge, but honestly, it started as a joke, and you can candy coat it all you want, but it's still a joke.)

I have registered just to say... change payouts back to how it was previously.

But you don't say why.
Is there a particular reason you want them to go back?

Payouts more regular, access to BTC sooner.

A feature of Clevermining has been removed because people can't do maths?

It's a lot easier when you get one payout a day in my opinion.  I'm not pulling in dozens of BTC a day though.  5 x .01 daily payments or a single .05 one.... I'd prefer the .05.   Lowers transaction fees later when you try to move coins around.
