I am going to try this tonight, I will compare to a similar rig on primegpu.

I think primeGPU made a wrong business decision to offer this miner in exchange for XPM when it came out. He had the fastest miner in the beginning, it made sense to solo mine at the time. But a lot of people who had the right hardware, didn't have 65 or 35 XPM, so they used Claymore's miner instead. Then Claymore's miner became better, difficulty became greater, giving everybody little reason to switch and go solo. There should have been a 10% dev fee from the start, instead of 65-35-25XPM per license. PrimeGPU would have way more XPM now and so would the users of his miner.
I think you may be right, but I don't think that they knew about the other miners that were ready to go, so they didn't take that into account.

I see a bunch of people making demands for things. It seems to me that primegpu can see what is in their own interest. I suspect that they can see where the xpms come from and will release a pool miner when it is ready.
I have to respect them for the improvements and the advancements so far. I think they should release the pool miner when it is ready and when the pool is ready. Not when some bitchy person on the internet demands it.
I have used pools and still use pools, but people's dependence and faith in pools is strange. It is funny to me, how they fail to follow the logic that their payouts will be less when using a pool, even when the pool is 100% legit. Then add in the people cheating the system and manipulating the shares or hacking, which bring down profits even more.....

I have a mixed gpu rig that just stops when running the last revision of the miner, even after lowering all cards to stock clocks. I just went back to the previous revision of the miner and it is fine. Is this due to increased usage % or could it be something else?
Most likely. Could you tell if it mines for at least an hour or just stops right away? Does the other rig have the same problem with the latest version? We'll probably make this optimization optional. It seems to go for a while before stopping. It would always stop after I quit watching it. Also, My house was getting too hot, so I have moved my rigs to a remote location. so I haven't messed with it too much. Stability was more important.

Higher difficulty..... My blocks are coming much slower. The last couple days I have only gotten 1 per day, where I was getting 4 or more per day. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) I have a mixed gpu rig that just stops when running the last revision of the miner, even after lowering all cards to stock clocks. I suspect that uray is not working on this any more. No developments or website for a while now.
Too bad, it is my favorite is for mining. I have one rig running it that is very stable and I rarely have to touch it. I am looking to move over to PimpOS, though it isn't as good or as easy. IMO.

I get an error as well if I use the primegpu file in 2.02. Also, CPU usage seems to be lower than previous versions at the same usage setting.
Cpu usage doesn't seem to make sense i7 4930k w/ 3x290x usage seems to be at: 15-20% at cpuusage 7 =9.4 cpd 15-20% at cpuusage 8 =9.3 cpd 95-100% at cpuusage 9 =7.5cpd Other computer 1366 xeon w 4core/4threads with 4 gpus cpu usage 7 =60%

I have 3 different models of cards in one machine. Is there a way to run separate server instances for each card or a way to differentiate settings for each card? Any changes in the works for this type of situation?
Updated and did see performance increases with the update. Thanks again!

I am getting 8.5 cpd average with 3 x 290x. I am getting 5.8 cpd average with 7970,7950,7950,270 - this is with the 280x client. It seems to produce the best results with the mixed GPUs. I have gotten 8 blocks since I switched to ver. 2.00.
I am pleased with the improvements. Good work primegpu.
you found blocks with 290s or other cards? blocks were found on both machines. now 5 on 290x's and 4 on mixed gpu rig.

Looks good. Improved output on both of my miners! Thanks!!

3x 290x rig has stabilized at 7.45 cpd average.
I have another rig that I just moved to primecoin. I think I need to do some tuning with it still. It is a 7970,7950,7950 and r9 270 rig. It is running the 7950 tuned client and is sitting at 5.2 cpd. The GPU times are: 185 163 155 234. Cards are not good clockers, just my leftovers that I threw together in one computer.

Am I blind or what? I didn't even see the 290 version of the miner!! Downloaded and running that now. I will update with my numbers after it runs a while and stabilizes, but it will be over 7 cpd on 3 x 290x. There is also a version specified for the 7950 available.
After 25 minutes or so, it seems to have stabilized at 7.2CPD for the 3 cards. So a bit of an improvement, since I had finally stabilized at around 6.85 on the 280x version.

if you guys want to keep finding a block consistently every day, i suggest you guys stop posting and making public here at the forums, otherwise more new GPU miners will raise the diff and your consistently earnings will dissapear faster
This theory is only good for pump and dump coins. I like primecoin and have been mining it from the start, so I post for benefit of those that appreciate primecoin. I hope those that are mining primecoin only because it is more profitable than some random p&d coin, move on to something else.

They are only at 1105/1250. Windows 8.1-64 , 14.3 drivers. CPU usage at 9.
|
|
|
I get 2.2-2.3 cpd on 290x. Sitting at 6.8cpd on a triple 290x setup.
|
|
|
On 14.4 I get 1.92 CPD, up from 1.52 CPD from the previous miner.
This info would be more helpful if you restated which card you are using every time you post numbers, so I don't have to re-read this whole thread in order to determine how your numbers compare to my own or anyone else's. i did eventually find it though: "MSI Twin Frozr III HD 7970 OC BE on Windows 7 Ultimate with AMD 14.3 driver and a AMD Phenom II x4 820"

Does anyone have 7950, r9-270x and r9-270 performance numbers? times or cpd? why does it say server and client must be restarted after awhile
The server reports this if it gets no new tasks from the client for 10+ minutes. Sometimes it happens if you restart the server but not the client - the connection might be set incorrectly this way. well i found a block already just wondering if it needs a restart every time i see that I wonder if your system time is not set properly or if your network connection is not sufficient. BTW. I have never seen this error after running this since shortly after launch.
