24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] a new coin based on Litecoin - CHNCoin on: May 01, 2013, 05:13:32 PM
1928 blocks found but only got credit for 11K CNC. Thanks for the new coin, I care not if its worthless I just really REALLY like to see FOUND GPU 1 BLOCK! in my cgminer for a bit Smiley

May I know what's your hash rate?

500Kh/s, one 7950.

and when did you begin mining?
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: waringing,ID:EDVIN512 is a scammer on: April 29, 2013, 12:16:33 PM
Weird. I think you receive it already. FTC/FC is NoCoin or UselessCoin. Exchanging 44 LTC for 1000 UseLessCoin or nothing is the same

I wish you luck. Cry

Not sure if serious.  Wink
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I don't know what to do, any advice? on: April 25, 2013, 07:52:52 PM
because even if LTC goes up - mining dif won't immediately rise to levels of non-profitable mining. Therefore you have a card you can sell later if coins crash and you can use it as ammunition to mine any other coins that are up-and-coming. Cryptocurrency is young, it will flourish.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTS] Auction 100 small change coins! 4 coins per block reward. on: April 24, 2013, 07:44:45 PM
Why pay for a research only coin? :S

Maybe on the off-chance it gets changed to "beta" status and gains value traction? Unless the chain is forked for the new beta status (if that were to happen)
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: amd radeon 7970m only getting 250khash/s on: April 24, 2013, 07:42:37 PM
Watch that laptop doesn't overheat. Laptops are not good miners.

I second this. I've had several high perforamnce laptops and they ALWAYS ran at 80c+ when gaming and that's not under full load. I understand mobile chips are meant to have a higher heat tolerance and the 7-series runs cooler but my my I do hope you don't ruin 2 amazing mobile GPUs.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BBQCoin Pool... hit it while its low difficulty! on: April 24, 2013, 07:36:39 PM
Hell of a start - my very first share got rejected  Grin. Anyways, hoping to add to my 30 Coins (received as giveaways).

I find anything above intensity 13 on my 7850 gives me stales.

You can try letting it set dynamic intensity if you can. I have 4 cards of different types and my .conf file sets them as best it sees fit.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BBQCoin Pool... hit it while its low difficulty! on: April 24, 2013, 07:23:34 PM
I am going to throw about 2.2mhash at your pool for a while to help out. Glad you let us know about your pool! Keep it alive =D

edit: I've had my wallet open for about 20 minutes with no block sync and 0 active connections. I have other wallets working fine - is there just that little amount of people currently using BBQ-qt to act as nodes?
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [AUCTION] Freicoins (FRC) for LTC or BTC. on: April 23, 2013, 05:02:50 PM
I currently am wanting to part with 3,000 FRC (freicoins) in exchange for LTC or BTC.

Please post offers in this thread so we can publicly track the offers and I'll select the best offer out of the thread. I understand I am a newbie poster and would hope we could use an escrow here with a known reputation. I am trustworthy on other forums and heat ware in addition to ebay having completed trades/sales/purchases without a hitch in the past and this is no different. I enjoy this community and would like to build a positive reputation with you all. Thanks for your time.

First offer is at 30 LTC      as of 12:19CST 4/23/13
32  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduce yourself :) on: April 23, 2013, 03:59:55 PM
I quite enjoy the community here! I am trying to get out of newbie jail to start establishing a trade reputation here. I've done plenty of online hardware swaps/sales/purchases - but I am new to direct coin exchange without a web exchange - will look into escrow.
33  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PLEASE HELP W/ BITCOIN INSTALLATION PROBLEM on: April 23, 2013, 03:57:31 PM
You could make sure your antivirus or windows firewall isn't blocking the connection, did you download the file straight from the source and not a 3rd party site?

Check the log files in %appdata%\bitcoin - there will be sync and connection lines in the log files letting you know if any connections are being attempted.

As a an alternative that would be a bit time consuming since the blocks will have to re-download:
Delete the files from %appdata%\bitcoin but not the "wallet.dat" if you had any coins in there before.
34  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to mining, looking for advice. on: April 23, 2013, 03:52:32 PM
If you wouldn't mind swapping over to AMD you could fetch a 7950 for your GTX 670 and get about 600khash with bout the same power draw and maybe less heat.

Currently, the cuda-mining will be erratic and you'd only notice issues from OC'ing if your drivers crashed or if you were getting hardware errors while mining shares/blocks. For now though, that is what you will get with a 670.
35  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LTC Mining - 6 GPUs? on: April 23, 2013, 03:48:38 PM
Also, some 7950s and 7970s take BIOS flashes to reduce stock voltage or clocks if they are "locked" and reducing those numbers could lower heat output and power draw on your PSU. I did that to 2 of my 7950s so far and dropped 12c off of each one of them, in addition to lowering the "locked" voltage from 1.250 to 1.09 - still stable at previous clocks, too.
36  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FeatherCoin - Any weight behind it? on: April 23, 2013, 03:43:57 PM
From what I see and what I've read in the primary thread it is meant to be an alt alt coin as in LTC is becoming a well-known and trusted coin and FC is an offshoot of that not meant to overtake LTC but to accompany it. I just hope scrypt coins stay relevant to mine for the normal everyday guys so that we can still earn a decent buck on our hardware without combating the ASICs that are currently dominating SHA-256 coins.
