21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What effect would covid-19 have on bitcoin halving as it approaches ? on: March 29, 2020, 06:35:40 AM
Yes, I totally agree, well the halving might not affect that much if we are expecting BTC to go up including alts since this virus will last long and cases are still going up around the world, IF we recover until the end of this year, we might see the effect of it by next year or two.
In my perspective, i see that the effect of the halving to market will take long to be seen, maybe 1 up to 1 and a half years from now because of the continuous spread of the virus and the growing numbers of confirmed case, even if we defeat the virus later this year, the damage it has given to lots of countries will not be solved for quite some time so the market will not going to back to normal for months. We are indeed in a rough road now and we need to stay strong and cooperate so that soon things will go back to the way it is soon.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Crypto recover from the most recent crypto dip? on: March 29, 2020, 03:11:06 AM
Slowly the market returns (especially Bitcoin) and I think it's very positive. The spread of the Corona virus makes many people feel scared and they are still a lot of money that melt From Crypto. From that article I agree on Crypto will recover again. In addition, now the Government's encouragement relating to work from home (WFH) will also increase the trading activity of Crypto assets. The price reduction of Crypto assets is the best moment to re-invest.

We would like to see more improvement on the crypto market, especially on bitcoin which until now just stays at $6K level.
The price increase is expected as the halving is approaching and I think even this covid-19 pandemic will not be able to stop us, so always be positive.

Also, although our economy now is getting worse but there's always an end for this.
Maximize and make the nost out of every situation, even though we are in a crisis now and crypto market has experienced dumps in the past couple of weeks still the market still tells us that it will recover soon, investing more now in top crypto is the best move you can do now, the halving is gonna happen soon so there is no better action to do than investing. The virus has affected alnost every field in the world but always bear in mind that this will end and every market and economy will recover.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: March 29, 2020, 02:35:19 AM
How do you survive in the current market situation?
If the bounty project is no longer profitable, what do you do now?
I have been trading for a while now and it has been helpful. I made some quick bucks in last couple of weeks when voltility was so good. I haven't trade in this last week due to no much price movements.

Always have a plan B in this world... Do rely only on bounties or signature campaigns.
During this time, the crypto is having a huge volatility and the top coins are having a huge decline, so trading is definitely not profitable during this time. Currently I only make money by participating in some bounty projects but not every project is profitable for me because there are many scam projects during this time.

Since covid-19 came out, I have made very little money and certainly will have a lot of difficulties ahead.
Yes trading now is totally unprofitable due to lack of price movements or little price movement, i have only earning money now while we are in a quarantine is mostly in signature campaign and i do get a little money from bounties. The virus really had paralyzed lots of works and we can expect a rough road ahead of us, but now i have invested some of my money in btc and other top altcoins while its in a dump price so i will get profit once the market recovers.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl altcoins or..? on: March 28, 2020, 04:29:38 PM
Well hodling riskier coins can get you high profits hehe. I agree that this is rookie thinking, but i'm always hodling a few trustworthy coins and one new coin that i believe it has a bright future.
Holding some of the best coins in the market is not wrong and as we know those coins can give huge profits during a bull market, holding other coins however can be very risky, but if you took your time doing your due diligence then that is fine, but the problem is that most newbies never do anything like that and just invest in a coin based on their hype or what they read on social media and it is clear as day that is a bad idea that will soon make them lose their money.
Indeed, newbis are the type of people to follow trend due to lack of experience and knowledhe towards what altcoin should you put your money in but i think its part of their growth, they need to experience it to learn it.
Well for me i am not holding so much altcoins, my top altcoins now in my portfolio are ETH, XRP and LTC, i have other few but i am not into it as much as i do with those e altcoins i have mentioned.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when price is dump?? on: March 28, 2020, 02:13:20 PM
It's an extremely difficult decision to take when you suddenly come online and discover your asset has drastically been reduced, you will be faced with either to sell off and wait for more dip or just stay put and hope the market recovers. This is never an easy operation as you may entirely lost out while in a stable coin and the coin suddenly spiked.
Indeed, many things will rapidly come into your mind and block you from choosing right decisions which makes the situation even worse but for me having it in a stable coin is much more safer than the other options you have mentioned. In this crisis we are experiencing i think it is not likely for a coin to have a sudden spike in price so while you are thinking much more deeper of what your next move is, put your assets in stablecoin.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I earn money during coronavirus? Is it possible by crypto coins? on: March 28, 2020, 12:56:49 PM
With the advent of Corona Virus, most of the world's activities are paralyzed and we lose our jobs in the real world in the next few months, and to continue to live without leaving home is not easy. but if you are a bounty hunter of course the only way is to work in this industry. actually there is a lot of work in the online world, but I suggest you trade, be a promotional project or related to online freelance.
When the government implements lockdown our space is getting smaller, we automatically have to look for loopholes to get money during the lockdown is still ongoing.Trading on crypto will be a good solution, moreover we already understand the movement of the crypto market, it will be easier to determine which coins will be our trade choice.

Earning cryptocurrency is the best way to have profit even when we are in a lockdown and yes most businesses now are paralyzed by the lockdown so exploring into the crypto world is the best thing to do, if you've been here in crypto for a long time then you wouldn't stress yourself, you just need to do what you normally do as a trader or holder buy if you are new here then trading will be a little bit hard for you so bounties is much more suitable for newbies but if you are really gonna need some money learn first about trading and then try it yourself, there is tona of crypto jobs you can find just take your time and find a good and legitimate one.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending crypto to a non-crypto person through Facebook? on: March 28, 2020, 07:50:09 AM
I have a few friends on Facebook which have never heard about crypto or even used it in their lives. I'd like to contribute towards the adoption of crypto by sending them small fractions of Bitcoin and Ethereum through Facebook. But I'd need to be very careful in order to prevent disclosure of private keys from prying eyes.

I'm wondering how will I be able to achieve this in the safest and secure way possible? This will be done through instant messaging of course (Facebook Messenger) with the intention of sending crypto in the most private way possible. My friends are not tech-savvy like me, so I'd need to figure out a method that's easy enough for them to get access to their crypto.

Which is why, I'm very intrigued to know how to send crypto to a non-crypto person through Facebook? Any help, suggestions, or recommendations will be highly appreciated. Thanks Smiley
Teach them to use oand create thier own wallet.
And how they will secured that wallet by storing the keys.

This is the only option you can help them if you want you can show them all the link that you think can help them to create thier own wallet. In that case you dont need to teach them all they just need to read the article then after they create thier own wallet transfer a BTC or ETH.
Yes that is also the only thing that comes into my mind because sending a plain text of your keys and seeds is a very risk task and you might end up losing your coins so just teach them to create their own wallets and then afther they create ask their address and then send them btc or eth, the fact that this invloves money they will be interested about it and after they know about crypto i am quite sure that they will be interested more and finally adopt to cryptocurrency.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and illegal activities on: March 28, 2020, 07:02:31 AM
The Dollar is the currency behind everything illegal. Bitcoin doesn't even compare to that.

If the dollar is behind everything illegal, why some people and politicians like to refer to bitcoin as the bad boy doing illegal things when in reality it is FIAT (dollar) the main one at this time causing problems in society.

Some people like to say so because they don't even know how bitcoin works and their first reaction is that easy one.

Because people who have evil intents also have innovation, they understand now about how bitcoin works and they will take advantage of it like it can't be tracked. Yes i understand that dollar or fiat is the main cause of problems in our society but it is because it existed long time ago and it is an essential need but bitcoin only existed for like 10 years so it is obvious that we can't really compare the both but in the time now where technology is in our grasp bitcoin have a very high possibility to be used in illegal activities, but it doesn't mean bitcoin is bad, it only look bad once evil people used it just like the fiat, both bitcoin and dollar is not a bad thing, it is the people who makes it look bad, it is how we used it.
29  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not as risky as many think. on: March 27, 2020, 10:56:22 AM
Riskier or not too risky, means the same thing in my view. We must admit that investing/trading Bitcoin is risky. Volatility, instability, trend & news affects, the government laws, hacker attacks, so on are the real factors to bring some risks. But yes, we don't need to be afraid of them. If we have sufficient knowledge and know the crypto market characteristics, those can be minimized.

Bitcoin investment is risky, but people who invested in Bitcoin should always wait for the recovery. Bitcoin is risky, volatility, but people who wait for the recovery are making some decent profit, every year we see some positive movements in terms of Bitcoin price movements, but for the people who grabbed the Bitcoin at low value are making profits.

Risk will always be present here inaide the crypto world, whatever you do it has risk but of course people take risk if they knew that the reward or possible profit will be worth it and that os one of the problems facing by people who are new here, they al2ays focus their description to bitcoin as very volatile or very risky which results to not trusting crypto and despite of the people who already have proven bitcoin is profitable, they still let their fear consume them but i know once they learn pruce movement and knew the history of bitcoin's market price they will surely invest in bitcoin.
30  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like.. on: March 27, 2020, 04:35:09 AM
If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like this?
China quarantined fiat FFS.
This tells me 100% BTC is only a financial purpose and not a practical purpose overall.

Just venting a little. This selloff is nuts.

There is no need to cry. People will realize sooner or later how good BTC really is. Until then we get super cheap entry prices. I am buying as much as I can, and you guys should do the same if you believe in BTC.

Good or profitable? I think that would be profitable. We all know how volatile bitcoin is; with its decentralization, a lot of people do not want to use it and accept it since there are a lot of quick changes that are happening. We can't remove the volatility of it and at times like this, people would be doing more online payment rather than offline payment though they will obviously not use bitcoin since with the dump that happened, they would rather hold it or they have no other choice but to use fiat since no one accepts it.
logical. at a time like this many people prioritize payment by transfer rather than cash. of course it is good for their health. different from bitcoin despite having a function as a digital payment instrument at first, but with high volatile, more people use it as an investment

How can you say so? People are panicking because of the pandemic, lockdowns are happening , people are in quarantine and online shops are mostly closed since delivering it is almost impossible now with the strict rules of community quarantine and lockdowns. The government are allowed to markets in numbers, they need to provide for their family and they don't care whether they are using cash or online payments. Our place here is so close from lockdown, transfer? We don't even think about online payment since there are no online shops here, another thing is that only 2 shops here accepts mobile payment, some have debit but still we are going there personally so it doesn't matter.
Indeed, people are panicking now so selling their bitcoins will really be a good idea despite the consequence it may bring to your portfolio or crypto path later on. Online shops will be impossible for most countries because of the full lockdown but for those countries who are not in "Full Lockdown" the govn't surely allowed those deliveries so online payment is possible but for the rest no so selling their btc and getting fiat is a good move rather then holding yoir btc and struggle where to find money for food supplies and medicine.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: a disease or a virus or is there business in it? on: March 23, 2020, 03:07:40 AM
Is there any chance that when the corona virus appears, some scientists have discovered the antidote of the virus itself so that there is an element of intention regarding the spread of the corona virus because there is a business element in it so that the antidote for the corona virus is sought after by many people, this is like a film about spreading viruses that can kill and destroy the economy globally. what do you think about this?

I doubt that this is something out of a movie with a villain wanting to wipe the earth clean out of its people. If this is a plot of someone or a country or a group of people for profit, I don't know what to say. Medicines to counter covid-19 are said to be used for testing and despite that, a lot of people are already recovering from the virus.

If someone or some group of people rrally have done this things to the world for the sole reason of profit then humanity is fading for us, once this is proven what do you think people will do about those people, how will they react after this, this can cause dramatic changes in our world. About the antidote, our own body has its way of fighting the virus, i think people recovers because they eliminate the symptoms despite not using a specific vaccine for the virus but of course a real vaccine is much needed for those people who are struggling with the virus.
32  Local / Pilipinas / Re: COVID-19 at ang market. on: March 22, 2020, 11:15:22 AM

If meron naman naka ready na iba pang pera na pwede magamit hindi mo na kinakailangan ibenta ang coins mo just to have money to use to buy everything that you need.

33  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pag usbong at pag babalik ng cryptocurrency. on: March 22, 2020, 10:37:03 AM

34  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin's price, at ang ating mental health. on: March 22, 2020, 09:57:53 AM

35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bad days for crypto on: March 22, 2020, 08:20:03 AM
It's possible that the bad days for crypto are just beginning, and all because of the virus, which is preventing everyone now, if there was no virus, it's possible that the market would be growing now, not standing at the bottom.
The bear trend before the virus have gone global will be continuing if the virus didn't spread like that and now each countries are affected by this and causes damaged to world's economy, bitcoin's down price have surely affected altcoins to follow as well and this, is indeed a start of bad days for crypto and we should be ready for it. Until the virus is gone, i think we'll continue experiencing this.
36  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin was created for time like this! on: March 22, 2020, 07:42:20 AM
It's right that BTC is created for the situation like this but on seeing the current scenario the people likes to hold the cash instead of anything to fight this pandemic be it stocking the food or the medical expenses and we should watch the upcoming days for the price movements as the virus is growing strong and more downside movement is expected in the stocks and other markets
Yes, fiat money is a much needed thing for us in this kind of situation. We should be doubtless about spending our money in food and healthcare because our money will be worthless if we're in a bad condition. I think price movement isn't possible now because govn't will do price freeze so that people will not take advantage of this situation.
37  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Brighter sides ng events due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) on: March 22, 2020, 06:43:54 AM

38  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Corona Virus in the Philippines. on: March 22, 2020, 06:06:53 AM

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which tokens do you like to stake/hold for profits? on: March 22, 2020, 05:25:12 AM
I personally prefer to trade daily, which is more effective for me personally with a small capital that is not suitable for choosing altcoin with stake / hold.
current price fluctuations are so large every day that nobody can predict so I better avoid holding for too long.
Yes you can earn more money in trading than just staking a certain coin, also staking limits your profit or gained money every day while in trading, it will depend on the market movement and your strategy to utilize the currrent situation of the market. But holding it and staking it is different from each other. You can hold on every wallets available and wait for pump while in staking, there will be specific wallets to do so.

40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best time to fill the bag? on: March 22, 2020, 04:47:09 AM
its actually the best time to fill bags, but lets be ret assured not all tokens are worth bagging, some ends up turning bad. we only need to check properly on what we are going to bag, do our findings to know if they are worth bagging, this is only to avoid bad losses. take good time to ensure the team behind the project are not there to scam the community. or best is to only bag well known tokens.
I think that now no matter what kind of team is behind the project, trusting every project with a good team is not a very good idea. Now I choose only the top projects that already have a strong fundamental foundation.
In such a crisis, you should not trust very much many cryptocurrency projects. I think that it is best to wait 2-3 months and then make a decision regarding the purchase of coins.

I agree with you,  if the global crisis continues, we should see more of downtrend in the entire market and as such if the bear continues, not every new projects out there will see the end of the tunnel. So being really fearful and careful is very paramount as any wrong investment call will cause a huge loss to ones hard earned money
We should really keep in mind thag we are in the middle of pandemic right now and the situation is a little rough, aside from thinking about available projects right now so that you can take advantage of the down market, it is really worth it to invest right now? Lots of countries are in the middle of lockdown which means no work, money right now is very crucial for we need it to supply our needs, we don't know when this will stop so aside from being wise and careful about projects, we should also think about our surroundings, our family, but if you really have enough money then exert time and effort toward choosing good projects.
