21  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Cryptocurrency fulfilling the prophecy from Revelation? on: November 05, 2018, 04:26:49 PM
I don't believe in religion, but I do believe in cause and effect. People hate being oppressed by outside influences they can't control, and given the chance (in today's case-through technology, in history's examples, through brute force-french revolution, american revolution, etc.) they will create a system that works more for themselves which is what cryptocurrency represents in today's day and age.

Despite past events that make you ant to lose all hope in mankind, we've evolved a lot and are much more civilized compared to just a few hundred years ago, and blockchain, and AI and more widely available internet will take it even further.

22  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Let's talk about corruption... not religion on: November 05, 2018, 04:15:12 PM
Given the chance, most people will use corrupt means of getting what they want. It's human nature.

Some of those seven deadly sins pay the bills-vanity/pride, lust, envy..

This is why it's better to go to the root cause of the problem and create circumstances where corruption does not get you paid. Blockchain technology is a great start but there is much work to do.
23  Economy / Economics / Which industries don't need blockchain? on: November 05, 2018, 04:06:53 PM
It appears as though every company is trying to integrate the use of blockchain technology.

https://www.blockchain-council.org/blockchain/top-10-companies-that-have-already-adopted-blockchain/

Some might have legitimate reasons, others just for the hype and hell of it.

Are there any industries that can't benefit from using blockchain technology in their business practices? Where it doesn't matter?
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the world really go digital with crypto? on: November 05, 2018, 03:59:36 PM
The world already is heading in this direction, and cryptocurrency is symbolically facilitating the digital recreation of society, as the hallmark of civilization is the economy. If the economy becomes virtual, so will everything else. This is why FB invested so much into VR, and middle men are becoming obsolete. The internet's connectivity allows everyone to exchange value instantly and securely thanks to blockchain.

We're heading towards a globalized digital civilization with blurry borders.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacking kills the cryptocurrency market on: November 05, 2018, 03:54:28 PM
Hacking does not kill the cryptocurrency market, exchanges kill the cryptocurrency market because they're easy prey to hackers! These "hackers" can be either legitimate hackers or inside jobs from people running the exchanges.

No more exchanges=cryptocurrency working as it should (safely and efficiently)
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We can’t trust anyone! on: November 05, 2018, 03:50:27 PM
People are using the values associated with decentralization-transparency, trust, etc. to scam people into letting down their guard and believing in the project and its future value based on the problems it intends to solve.

Hopefully machine learning will help us predict which are scams and which aren't one day. And maybe people will be less motivated by financial reward once technology democratizes great quality of life for less, so people won't be as prone to being scammed or getting scammed.

27  Other / Off-topic / Re: Virtual Reality Makes Space Tourism Possible on: November 05, 2018, 03:42:36 PM
Representative of today's society for sure. All experiences are essentially becoming digitized. Look around! People are living most of their lives behind screens. At least VR will make these new realities more realistic and interactive.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should We Diversify Our Investments? on: October 31, 2018, 11:19:53 AM
Achieving success in anything is ultimately a numbers game where failure is inevitable. Always diversify investments unless you have some insider knowledge. There is nothing more stressful than being dependent on any unpredictable entity for sustenance.
29  Economy / Economics / Re: hackers becoming smarter than exchanges? on: October 31, 2018, 11:04:38 AM
The solution does not lie in beefing up exchanges security. It lies in elimintating the need for exchanges, which is still at third-party required for crypt-brokerage, something that actually goes against the original BTC whitepaper, which was to not require a non-controllable third party for transactions. They will be susceptible to attack and customers' loss as long as they exist.
30  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Does the Far Right Hold a Near-Monopoly on Political Violence? on: October 31, 2018, 10:59:46 AM
They're most-associated with violence because for their ideologies to work, there needs to be fear and hate in the air. Most far-rights are hell-bent capitalists and many profit off of America's permanent war economy.
31  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Air pollution is the 'new tobacco', warns WHO head on: October 30, 2018, 12:32:24 PM
Air pollution is worse than tobacco because we don't even have a choice, we are forced to destroy our health faster than usual just from existing in such polluted environments.

This is why we need to rely less on the completely unsustainable physical world for resources and sustenance.

Fortunately the accessibility of the internet and subsequent digitization of society is making us less dependent and I still have hope for a better future.
32  Economy / Economics / Cryptocurrencies and Europe's Economic Growth on: October 30, 2018, 12:24:39 PM
Europe's growth is stagnating because Italy is a dead weight.

https://www.bbc.com/news/business-46028714

"Economic growth in the 19 countries using the euro currency slowed by more than expected in the third quarter of the year, official figures indicate.

The bloc was not helped by the performance of Italy's economy, which registered no growth at all during the third quarter."

If countries issued their own cryptocurrencies and citizens functioned exclusively with its use, do you think this be a good thing for Europe's development?

Each country would have to carry its own weight, and one country's progress would not be hindered by another's bad economy.

33  Other / Politics & Society / Everyone wants to live like they're rich, but no one wants to work for it on: October 26, 2018, 10:10:46 AM
Ask anyone about their wildest dreams, and they will most likely tell you about buying objects and experiences that require financial freedom.

But, very few people are willing to "cross the jungle" to make these dreams a reality. The people who are willing to work to be rich are few and far between.

I like the way Ray Dalio puts it:

“Imagine that in order to have a great life you have to cross a dangerous jungle. You can stay safe where you are and have an ordinary life, or you can risk crossing the jungle to have a terrific life. How would you approach that choice? Take a moment to think about it because it is the sort of choice that, in one form or another, we all have to make.”

Most people are scared shitless of taking risks and breaking away from their illusions of safety, which is why they are now turning to technology to have access to the things they want for nothing.

Technology is making more and more incredible experiences accessible to everyone. You can now see court-side NBA games in VR. You can become a rockstar on social media if you know how to take pictures of your ass and have a smartphone.

Do you think technology will make people complacent because they'll be able to achieve whatever they want without having to work too hard?
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto capable of making the world go digital? on: October 26, 2018, 09:59:33 AM
World is a physical body so we can't make it as digital. Grin

If you are talking about cashless society then answer is yes because crypto currencies were in virtual format so we can pay anywhere use that crypto currencies if the cryptos were accepted as form of payment method but crypto currencies have lot of advantages than go cashless.

The world is a physical thing for now, but I believe we're heading towards the digitization of everything, and the fact that currency is gradually leading this movement is very symbolic, as it is the substrate of civilization.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The future of the Altcoin in two years on: October 26, 2018, 09:40:55 AM
Some of the Altcoin products claim to change how the world fundamentally functions. If they actually follow up on their claims there might be an "ultimate altcoin" with a project that solves so many problems and has never-before-seen levels of value.
36  Other / Archival / Re: Is the world really waiting for a global decentralized money? on: October 26, 2018, 09:05:45 AM
It is rumored that most politicians seek globalization and the creation of a world government. In this case, the cryptocurrency will be very appropriate. This topic can be classified as philosophical. Because for globalization to happen, all States must unite. We can have a lot of discussions on this topic, but we will definitely see what will happen.

Not only politicians, the world is controlled by a few very powerful people who would greatly benefit from such a world. If everyone could participate in consumerism, imagine the profits! International organizations have been moving us in this direction for a long time.

The ultimate goal is for the entire world to become a “single market” with uniform laws, rules and regulations.
37  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anyone believes in a blockchain governance? on: October 25, 2018, 10:25:08 AM
Blockchain will definitely become a huge part of how governments and businesses are governed. Everything will likely become collective and decentralized, as our current model is based on deception of the masses and profit for a select few, leading to a variety of problems. There are enough people who are fed up with this and found the beginning of the solution in blockchain technology.

It will succeed because it human nature to its advantage, as people will be financially rewarded for making good decisions instead of making corrupt decisions.
38  Economy / Economics / Re: ICO Token Allocation (Foundations) on: October 25, 2018, 10:10:25 AM
I would consider that to be funds added to the treasury to optimize the company's liquidity. They could make good investments in the future with it. The fact that they're being open about that makes it seem legit.

Most revolutionary blockchain projects need quite a lot of funds to make their visions a reality now and in the future. There are even some that claim to be able to solve the most fundamental issues of the human condition, not only technical issues for payments etc. This takes a ton of money for R and D, or a huge "foundation."
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Future technology on: October 25, 2018, 09:42:24 AM
Any company that wishes to stay relevant will have to restructure itself using blockchain tech.

I'm most excited about decentralized news platforms, in which we'll finally be able to read factual content rather than bended truths depicted by sites dependent on advertising revenue and corporate interests.
40  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Explosive devices sent to Bill/Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, George Soros, CNN on: October 25, 2018, 09:35:36 AM
This demonizing of public figures is source of the problem. They're people, and are just trying to get by, like anyone else.

The higher you up on the ladder, the more visible your ass is, and the more you're associated with shit.

Displays of hate such as this will not end until we solve the scarcity problem and provide at least a feeling of freedom and abundance for everyone.
